you should go and tell keng that his talent will be wasted in this ship. you watched one np project and you are already being bitter. if you read the novel, you should know that khem is very reserved and shy, im glad namping went out of the way to add some layers in khem's character. i wont say its perfect but its not worst as you were saying. also since khem's character is already lacky you cant blame namping for that. he did as much as he can on this. you are saying people are obsessed with shipping and here you are obsessed over keng and being a hater.

in the novel itself, there isnt much romance, since the plot was focused on the curse or the way khem, chan and jet were living at pharan's house. the thing is a lot of viewers are expecting alot of romance in a serie where the main focus isnt about the romance part. even the slow burn people were complaining. that 1% romance as you said is more than enough in the serie. it doesnt mean for a serie to be labeled as 'bl' it has to have all that romantic thing you mentioned.

its still y serie, cause the characters are in love. i feel like people want 80% gay romance to label the serie as 'bl'. like you mentioned in your first paragraph, they cant just directly go do all the romantic thing the op mentioned after 2-3 epsiodes.
