The drama is low budget so it is more computerized, the set behind the scenes is beautiful but the editing part…
Oh! I didn't know this drama was low budget. The set does look beautiful, just the animals are a bit 2D. But the plot does keep getting interesting a bit.
Why is the editing of this so wonky? Like somehow I went back in time to watch cdramas made in 2018-2019?? Even ignoring the somewhat confusing plot, the editing takes me out of the drama world everytime!!
I had to confirm this, in the episode 17 at timestamp 34:46, is there a farting sound in the background. I listened several times and heard it each time? The sound occurs just after JCY says 'bear with it'. Was it the website where I am watching that made the error?
Um did anyone notice in the beginning of ep 8 when hyunwoo's friend was telling him about vincenzo and the rumors surrounding him, they were all characters played by song joongki(the actor acting as vincenzo) in previous drama like descendents of the sun, my werewolf boy and so on??
To point out more details the actor himself divorced from his former wife on the reason of irreconcilable differences. Ooh I love these crumbs!
I am puzzled a bit. They showed Shengbei General going to the divine realm but where is the other general(Zhu Fei)?
And the ending of ep 22 and beginning of ep 23 feel so disconnected. Like when did Shenli and Fusheng reach the east sea? Where were the other generals who were about to follow Shenli? How did they even get her relic? When did Shengbei General see her perish?? Why were we not shown anything? There so many moments of telling and not showing in this show and that's fine, you cannot show so everything else the drama will never end. But atleast show the important things.
Oof! I do not wish to complain, but somethings did bother me.
I think if they had alternatively shown scenes of Shenli-Fusheng fighting on the sea and the generals fighting those people on the ground. The CGI felt too much as well. The novel had this scene so well described but I guess the choreography would have become even more complicated.
And more importantly, whenever Shenli gets heavily injured in the novel, there are mentions of torn flesh, lots of blood. But in the drama even when she was inside the Chimei, there were barely a few burn marks. Like where is the blood? the cuts?? She gets hurt by the beast, only a near invisible cut on her arm. I had to see that seen twice to see her injury. While protecting the shrines, she gets hurt on her forehead? Why is everything so diluted????

Oh no, you haven't lived as a woman in India then. If you had, this wrong idea of yours would have been corrected soon enough. Lol, valued for giving birth. And let's for a moment consider your comment to be true, then, what are women? Living incubators?? To have value for giving birth? Are we some kind of a biological device to you? That it is a good thing to be valued for? It is a natural biological aspect of being female, sure, but to be valued specifically for it demeans us. As, for abortion, it is a personal choice to be left on the person whose body it is.
This is not to say and I am not agreeing that it is better to be a man, or that men have it easier. They don't. But neither do women have it easier. Both genders face some sort of difficulty wherever they are. It just changes in how serious of a difficulty it is and often depends on the place. So, it is not a black-or-white matter.
