reviews seem to be question whether one of the stories is GL or just friendship, there's something near the end…
In the bit where Prang, the delivery driver, talks about all the effort which goes into making cheese (and parallels it with the effort which goes into love), there's a brief glimpse of Irene and Now cuddling on a bed, like the end of a good day's work. It's discrete but I think we can call that lesbian. There's also a bit of Fern and Fhon milking a cow together. More ambiguous but perhaps in context?
Aof, Patt's friendly customer, has a faen named Dow. I guess that's Meiji's senior who we saw at the mall.

Just watched a short kdrama with a similar theme, Love for Love's Sake, which crammed stress in through both its format and plot twists, so I'm appreciating The Broken Us again and how gently it tells its stories. So glad I've found Thai PBS.
4 episodes in and i'm loving the mix of earnest lakorn angst, just a touch of comedy and the perfect amount of suspense for me, plus how central women are to the story lines.
I really don't understand how babies are made in RSL universe without the sperm and through IVF? Can anyone please…
RSL is about 50 years after the start of their pandemic. If resources were provided to accelerate science as we did for covid vaccines, it's possible they'd have found an alternative means within that time frame. Boy babies born just before their pandemic would only be in their 50s in '24, so there's a decreasing but still viable amount of genetic diversity available naturally in the world. Long term, the reduction in genetic diversity would matter more than amount of sperm available but they won't have reached that stage yet. Sperm banks would still be viable. I think they said in RSL there were only around 300 men, so unless I'm remembering that wrong they just seem to discount the over 50s. The bottlenecks would be the expense of making new babies through IVF and the lack of similar-age, male marriage partners for straight women since they seem intent on sticking to couple-orientated marriages. That's the real problem for RSL in 2024. And that's an overly pedantic answer for a comedy :)
It's short, so you don't get all the filler and long drawn out plotlines. Although with short episode series,…
Maybe Narin will reincarnate as a fully adult human like Shan did ;)
Considering how hard the plot worked to pull a happy ending out of the situation it created, I think we can feel confident now-human Shan and Narin's next life will both have good outcomes.

Narin didn't sacrifice himself, his soul was going to die either way. By the metaphysics of the story he'll go on to his next rebirth, whatever that is.
On the off chance anyone seeing this has a link for this, would you please reply to me here with it? There's a 50+ episode Chinese drama with the same English name taking up most of the space in searches and the Thai name is giving me music videos. Thanks.
They did not make it easy to search for with that title :) On the off chance someone seeing this happens to have a working link, please share it in a reply.
I came to CYMB after giving up on a slickly produced one where I didn't much care about the characters. I'll take this unpolished awkward story of unpolished awkward teenage boys veering chaotically between bravado and vulnerability because, you know, teenage boys over a glossy chick flic cast with young men any day. Perhaps better considered as gay coming of age youth drama with a bit of abbreviated lakorn than BL, so not for everyone. If you can accept it for its messy self though, it's really good.
I was able to navigate to this from the thaipbs site via the VIPA logo and then using "Journey" in the search box. The poster above was easily recognisable. There are two CC options, both labeled in Thai. The lower one is for English subtitles.
So many parallels with women who find excuses to stay in an abusive relationship and the fantasy of hoping it will change. The sexism across the board (all but one of the women characters were just props for the men) and from nearly all of the men was hard to take too, especially with the women characters (and fans) rewarding them for it. The gaslighting around abusive behaviours triggered my survivor reflexes hard enough I had to finish the series, wish I'd known not to start it. They came close to understanding, but when one of the MC is still setting those off in episode 12? If you're able to see that as that as a truly deserved and happy ending, count your blessings.
Hello! I have never watched a BL drama, but I would like to watch my very first one. Can someone recommend a few…
Not Me is brilliant all around, both as serious drama and for the love stories, but not necessarily one to start with. It's a dark and gritty gem, will set the bar really high if nothing else. Cherry Magic (30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii) is gentle and sweet. Bad Buddy (highly recommended) and A Boss and A Babe (comedy with more going on than under the surface) are two where they get together early. He's Coming to Me has such an enormous heart. All but CM are on youtube via GMMTV's official channel.
Someone recommended TharnType, that's a very controversial one because of something in the plot. I've not seen it as I heard enough to know it's something which will upset me. Your mileage may vary.
