I praise this one for the mature themes you don't often see in kdramas, especially from a female perspective, but the FL had less emotional range than I would like for this story. I understand she was likely depressed, but at times we needed to feel hope, it seemed kind of stagnant. Still, I think it's unique and worth a watch as a study, but not one of my top picks.
I honestly wasn’t sure if I’d like this going in, did I skip some scenes, yes, but I still ended up liking…
Kang Chul was able to survive because he ate those flowers, but I believe it was also a slim chance, which is why they were grieving. He might never have woken up.
So funny! It's just the kind of light-hearted fluff one needs after watching a heavy drama. There is a bit of angst, but I think that helps the comedy shine more. I also love how the typical Cinderella tropes that we expect are flipped. Super fun, short, and sweet!
I'm not sure what I expected when I started watching this drama, but I know it definitely surprised me! This drama has so many layers and is gripping from beginning to end. When I saw "rom-com, supernatural" I think I was expecting it to be lighter, and the comedy is really good, though there are essentially two plots going on at once. One set in the present, and one set in the 1930s. I found myself wrapped up in the mystery that the main trio were also trying to solve by putting their past memories together. It was so fascinating that I went through the episodes so fast wanting to know what was next! This is also the first kdrama I've ever seen where I wanted the end goal to be a throuple. Like the chemistry between the main trio is no joke and it's what really drives the story. 10/10!
I loved this so much! It had so many points that are right up my alley, so there was no choice for me but to love it. The ML is a huge green flag and the SLS is very potent, so be aware. I really like how this is a story of a FL getting back on her feet in her own way. Totally worth a watch!
I'm not sure how much you want me to spoil, but the mother they work for is actually the one that killed their parents and they work with Kant and Style to get her arrested. That doesn't excuse them of their crimes, and so they have to go to jail for 5 years. Kant and Bison go on a trip after his jail sentence, while Style and Fadel work in the burger restaurant. It's a happy ending.
This was really good! Heart and Li Ming were absolutely the best couple! Their moments were so adorable and heartfelt. The way Gemini played Heart was incredible. He was able to convey so much with just his facial expressions. His chemistry with Fourth is top notch.
I loved it, truly, but some of the writing choices really threw me. Still, I loved the characters so much I didn't care and just enjoyed this crazy ride! Fadel is the best character, hands down, and the backbone of this whole series. Style came in like a wrecking ball and is a great match for him. Bison and Kant are both adorable, but I will admit I was worried for both couples when they started confessing their feelings, as I didn't think the mood was right, but they made up for it in the later episodes.
The roller coaster ride this series is is something else! If you think you know what's going to happen, you don't! Absolutely loved how messy and heartwarming it is. Favorite couple was probably Ray and Sand.
It's messy, for sure. I don't blame Dae Yeong too much for what happened with his ex, but what he did to Min Ji (what they BOTH did) was so wrong. They've supposedly been close friends for a decade and he just used her like it was nothing. If I were her, I would have cut them both out of my life too. And Jeong Ha was no better. Acting as if he was so conflicted, but completely fine the next minute. He didn't care about her either, it seems. Now, about Dae Yeong and his ex....like I said, in those situations, sometimes your body acts before your mind does, so I understand, but it just doesn't feel right after the whole Min Ji situation. It doesn't make me feel like this couple is very stable.
Totally agree, even though I'm usually not into romance, this series is good, acting and evolving plot, I also…
Like, I totally get Goblin's appeal in some ways, and if for nothing else, the scenes with the Reaper and the Goblin are worth watching. What's interesting is that she is not even that young, but it was too convincing which made things awkward.
Loved it! I think the age gap works in this one more than Goblin because the actors look closer in age (he's literally only 2 years older than her), and their actions together seemed more cohesive to those of a couple. While in Goblin, they looked and acted more like an uncle and niece for most of their courtship. I ADORE the second lead couple!! Jae Jin and Hye Sun are so cute, I just want to snuggle the both of them. I like all the other characters as well, though I agree that Seonwoo got too much screen time. I think his character could have worked better for longer if a certain thing actually happened in the middle.
Super cute, and even though the story went by a bit fast, it was pretty consistent and didn't feel like they skipped anything too important. The leads are great and I like that they thwarted expectations. Especially Haebom, who is a much stronger character than he is first perceived.
