Please do drop the show. No one asked you to come here and drop three hate comments back to back.
there's a difference between hate and criticism. and I dont need to be asked before I share my opinion. last i checked, that's not how this platform operates. if you can't stand it, that's your problem. I don't police you when you share your own opinions. gosh😒. there's always zealots like you under every comment section who try to tell people how to act
this show just loves to tell the audience everything. her conversation with that old guy in episode one was just two characters talking to each other and saying things they both know just for the sake of the audience. who wrote this?
i always try my best not to judge an actor based on one performance alone, but an actor who really knows how to act wouldn't deliver the horrid performance that the female lead is delivering😂. there's something so painfully unrealistic and over the top about her line delivery. is this cartoon character vibe really what they were going for?
This may change later, but the pilot episodes for this show are pretty milquetoast. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly…
I'm only 20 minutes in and I've noticed it. there's way too much talking and shoving every detail in our faces. She didn't need to tell me why she is the way she is, I'm not stupid. audiences should be allowed to discern some things for themselves. SHOW, DONT TELL.
i don't love the fact that they basically resolved the most important thing in the show OFF SCREEN in the last episode??? why bring up that her mother is alive just to go absolutely nowhere with it. So she just confronted her and she's fine now? i would've loved to see that confrontation. If they didn't want to show it, they shouldn't have bothered with such an aimless twist.
all their romantic scenes felt one sided to me. it looked like a hostage situation
Yeah. She can't compare to the talent of IU or Kim You Jung, but she's good for casual, surface level performances. And yeah, Chae min really impressed me. I saw him in Hierarchy and he was pretty bland. But BAYM shows that he's clearly talented, and just needs the right material to work with.

yeah, her romance was so bland in this. but she nailed the comedy and cooking scenes. she's just a mid actress for me. I haven't watched much of her and i dont intend to.
I went in expecting a fluffy rom-com and got a thoughtful, emotionally layered story about love, trauma, and self-acceptance. Can This Love Be Translated breaks away from tired tropes and delivers complex characters, stunning visuals, and a romance that actually means something. Here's my full spoiler-free review of Can This Love be Translated:
Lol no. Dorami is the only saving grace of this drama. Cha Muhee has gone down to Oh Hani level, even Yoo Meri…
wow. I don't know what you guys look for I a romcom, but it was a romcom to me😂. was Would You Marry Me any better? WYMM turned into a murder thriller halfway, and dropped the "com" after the first four episodes. but seriously, what other genre could this show be? horror? psychological drama? none of those other genres are featured enough to take the spotlight from the romance and comedy. for me, dramas like BAYM and Business Proposal feel empty cos Al they have to offer is romance and comedy. I'm glad that this show tried to incorporate other genres as little as possible.
I’m convinced that a lot of the backlash against Can This Love Be Translated —especially Cha Mu Hee’s writing—comes from viewers who aren’t used to genuinely complex female leads in rom-coms. They went in expecting Yoo Meri and Cheon Sarang level writing.
anyway, whether you chose to accept it or not, that episode was overly expository.
