Were they able to solve the problem or it is just a case of antagonist winning protagonist every single time.…
Nahhh, they solved their problems almost every time. But the antagonists did have some major wins against then, but they made the best of bad situations. also, the leads are very smart and resourceful. they think outside the box, but when they can't do something themselves, they look to someone with more experience
yes, we knew they were gonna encounter a new problem each episode. but we never knew what shape or form the obstacle would take, or how they would solve it. each problem was fresh and unique and handled it much differently than the last. that's why it never felt repetitive or predictable to me.
clown who rates all good dramas 1. Should be banned. Go watch american series. Stop watching Korean dramas if…
Wow, youre not kidding. This person seems to hate kdrama in general 😂. I understand hate watching a show. I do it sometimes, but rating everything a 1 or 2 is just crazy.
I dropped after 4 eps. I do not recommend. One odof the worst scripts of the year. I feel sorry for the actors,…
Please don't feel sorry for them😂. unless they publicly state that they regret being in the show, then it's safe to assume that they're proud of this show and the work they did. so please, don't feel sorry for them.
That's just it, you read my mind. He just had a popular drama with a popular actress/singer in Yoona. I bet there…
King the Land is popular cos of visual appeal. that's the main draw for many kdrama viewers. some people dont even care about a coherent story as long as the romance is cute and swoonworthy. that explains why a show so devoid of substance like Would You Marry Me is popular.
8.5 and I'm usually stingy with ratings but this was great. engaging plot, solid pacing, and properly fleshed out characters. I was never bored and they always found ways to make me smile and laugh even through their hardships.
oh yeah, he was definitely a green flag. i think full on romcoms are just not my cup of tea 🤷. i didnt know it back then, so I got annoyed with every single cliche thing. the falling into his arms, the coincidences, the drunkenness scenes. i didnt like him cos he was too unrealistic, but now i know that's what romcoms are meant to be. plus I felt his whole tragic backstory about his mom and how he hated smiling was so dumb.
i maintain my initial stance that Pyo kid is an annoying yet well written character. dude just wanted a win. lost his dad's respect, his crush, and physical fights to Tae Poong. He always lived in his dad's shadow and simply wanted an opportunity to prove himself. He was a victim of poor upbringing.
they both grew up rich, but Pyo dad taught his kid to screw others over in order to get ahead, while Tae Poong's dad taught him to look at the world with eyes of love.
Context matters. In 1998, I don't think South Koreans were worried about their English; Koreans only started learning…
lemme add to that. remember Miseon also spoke English. but hers sounded quite good. it was clear that she practiced a lot because Miseon is a character that is dedicated to her job. Pyo kid obviously didn't bother trying to hone his English speaking skills because he didn't really care about doing his job right. he just cared about the title CEO. he sounded terrible cos he doesn't care. so yeah, context matters.
there’s no reason for the low rating, it should be a solid 8.5/10 as the best dramas here. I gave it a 9.5 because…
i know everyone is entitled to their opinion, but based on how MDL ratings work, this show really should be at least an 8.5. I think it's just not a typical kdrama. it's not flashy or loud. it's subtle and personal and real. i think that's why it's not really everyone's cup of tea, but I love it so much
