thanks for sharing! the fact that heβs still in, albeit less, makes me want to support the project. what a tragedy.
It does the opposite for me. I will skip it. The director said, he wanted to minimize viewer discomfort!!! He was only thinking about domestic viewers and totally doesn't give a damn about us. In SK, YAI is treated and perceived like a crimi nal. Hence I am skipping it. I read another article couple days ago which said that Netflix was taking a 'risk' (!) by releasing this one. I have no interest left anymore. I cannot imagine what he is going through. I hope he can come out of this stronger.
I wanted to write a post not mentioning the obvious drawback of the show, short run time. Both leads come from dysfunctional families. They have experienced abuse, physical and emotional, from a young age and thus accumulated a lot of trauma. As adults they are closed off, emotionally vulnerable, fearing for the worst to happen all the time. So my reading is that they both had feelings for eachother since they knew eachother but did not know how to acknowledge it. Maybe the initial feeling started from sympathy, empathy; however it developed into protectiveness and something else. In the last episode we do see one of them trying to decipher through his emotions. Both have so much bottled up that ultimately it had to be a collision for them to be able to express themselves. The kiss was a way to stop the confrontation and express the rawest of their emotions. A kiss will not solve their emotional issues but it does help to express it somewhat. I liked this whole scene very much. Also the scene where one of them is saying that they are tired and the other is trying to comfort them somehow. No matter how ill equpped they both are to manage emotions. They are trying. For me this series is this, snippets that I am enjoying very much.
Brother i was totally expecting that kiss at the end. You gotta expect it in the end of episode 4 when there r…
I was also expecting that kiss. Not only because it was the 4th episode but also their confrontation needed a sudden/shocking/catastrophic(?) ending π. A passionate kiss was the answer. I am all for it π€π
This has a great plotline, raw acting, and natural chemistry among the leads. It's a crime to not let this story…
I think because the school dramas are more popular and earn more money than these kind of heavy topic dramas. I am happy that they have attempted it and it paves the path for making more dramas with such contents. I hope this drama does well and gets its money back.
It is apparent that the budget is low and many things are missing production wise, however it's a very intriguing story of two battered souls, exhausted from carrying loads that were not theirs to begin with and in the process loosing themselves in self-loathing and hoepelessness. The two leads are doing Ok portraying such complexities but I am enjoying the nuances and the moments here. The series is too short to tackle such an issue but still its a good try. I hope they make more of such contents.
I am not watching it.
