The only character I feel sorry for is the daughter. Her life has been a collateral damage amongst the shenanigan of her father. And why is the police department portrayed as so incompetent? I understand that the protagonists will have to drive the story in solving the case but when the creators make the other part (in this case the police) so clue less, then it doesn't help the believability of the story.
Your 'I know he won't' says it all. No matter what crap the main leads do, eventually they get away with it in…
You know I always feel if you take the main lead to a place where it is difficult to believe in their redemption then you have done a disservice to your content. And if you take them there then show real consequences and not just happily ever after. This show has done a lot of right so far, we have to wait and see what happens next. Fingers crossed. The Effect is one such BL with severe consequences of a criminal lead.
I'll admit that this wasn't my favorite episode. It had to happen to move the story forward and set up the relationship…
Your 'I know he won't' says it all. No matter what crap the main leads do, eventually they get away with it in drama world. In real life Joe would have reported Ming for kidnapping and would have hated him for his actions. Not trying to understand him or wondering what he wanted to say. In any case, I wish Ming gets a detailed redemption arc with serious consequences. It would still be not enough, but I hope only.
I cannot give a second chance to a character like Ming. But this is a drama series and they are the main lead. So my wish is that the redemption arc is very detailed and with severe consequences. Not just I love you and love fixes all. The show is engaging and Joe is beyond amazing. I am looking forward to how it unfolds.
I also had my doubts about it being a same-sex relationship movie. They were evading clarification, however the marketing though! So yes, I am a bit disappointed but I will watch (hopefully with an open mind) when its available for international audience. I still wish the movie success :).
One has to die too after their loved one has died? I guess this is not the message but it appeared as such to me. I understand its a love story and might not have to have a bigger connotation. I did not like the acting of the Yuan Yuan character. Fandy Fan performed brilliantly though. Everyone else was great. The story I was most invested in was of An Yi Qi and her son. I would have appreciated more if Yuan Yuan could live on like Rose in Titanic instead of withering away. But that's just me and this is Cream and K's story.
Except Chu Ai and Peng ke, I was invested in the rest of the couples. I skipped through their parts 🙃. It was predictable but a good watch none the less. Predictability is not bad always 😉.

I hope someone translates it 😊
