I mean why there is no mention about how Nakamura died? How am I supposed to accept that an apparently healthy, 24 year old trainer suddenly died in his sleep! I understand the movie is not about that but without this detail, as a viewer, I am left wondering for no reason. At least one single passing remark would make more believable.
How is it not a happy ending? This was not even open ended. They met after two years, they were reciprocating their love and were smiling at eachother. How is that not a happy ending???!!! This could have been an 8 episode mini series about grief, trauma, love, letting go and moving on. However they had to stretch it to 16 episodes with so many unnecessary plots. The second couple had more chemistry and passion than the lead couple. Why did they even break up?? What was the point even????!!! I watched the 1st episode and dropped it. Then after a year or so picked it up again as I read this one doesn't have a happy ending and talks about letting go. I started to watch again and after couple episodes even though I was not enjoying it I had to finish!!!! ARGHHHHHHH!!!!
What a brilliant, poetic, comforting and real love story. It was so accurately done. All the despair and desire of first love amazingly portrayed through the MLs. I loved it!
The love scene in the last episode was poetic and graceful. Pure expression of love and longing. Expressed so much yet showed so little. Hats off to the makers and actors!
How was Khun Yai in 2023? Like is he a ghost?🤣 I kinda guessed from spoilers I saw before I watched the series…
Thank you for the explanation. Even though I did not know about the book. I was still very happy with the ending. However Khun Yai was there, he was there :). And that's what mattered to me. I was sure the makers of such a show would not just do something so lazy as make him a ghost or something. Thank you again!
It was endearing to watch Tay-New together in a series. I enjoyed it much. Comparison to the original is inevitable. IMO the makers could set a unique tone for this one. Even though the story is the same, I found the execution to be fresh. Looking forward to the next episodes.
Such a melancholic, soothing episode. I am somehow not sad. Cause I have a feeling everything will work out somehow for them. Even if they depart now they will find each other in future. The 2 MLs chemistry, longing, passion is top notch acting y'all!
The last scenes with her being all free and "bad ass" in the cemetery like every other millionth drama were quite…
Yes, I agree. What did she become? A fugitive or a mafia boss. Cause if she was punished by the law for her crimes then her hair would have turned grey instead of that beautiful color :).
last episode was so disappointing..rushed romance so he can be sacrificed as the one guy who can understand her…
Rushed romance and kill one of them seems like a favorite plot point in several k-dramas. I have seen at least 2. My theory, when the makers know that the romance is not necessary or a side plot and they need to put it to tick some boxes, they go for this plot :). Just my theory though.
I agree with your interpretation of Gicheul's character. He needed punishment for sure but the path to redemption…
She is a Mafia's daughter, had difficult upbringing yet so simple minded to fall for someone so hard in such a short time (without much interactions) that even when she knew all of his behavior stemmed from an ulterior motive of bringing them down, she still chose to love him and sacrifice everything. It was hard to believe for me. In my view it was a, not so good imitation of Tang Wei's character from Lust Caution (2007). That's a masterpiece! What I want to say is, I enjoyed the series and the attempt of dealing a complex subject of blurring lines of morality and justice. Just that certain narratives were better communicated than others. Thank you for the comment!

I never read what the makers say 😀. Specially before and while the drama is running. Thats my way of protecting my thougts. 😀. So now I hear what they meant, however it still doesn't come through for me. Good to know though. Thank you.
