Divorce was inevitable imo. Rarely any relationship would survive such catastrophic consequences. They were using others trusts to get what they wanted and apparently for a good cause/outcome. However in the process they showed their darkest faces to eachother. I also think neither of them had any genuine feeling for the other 2. The way both of them approached J and H with ulterior motive and used their trust for them as a weapon, no geunine feeling can blossom from that. Yes, they might feel sympathy, guilt towards J and H but that's the extent imo. So yes, the failing of the marraige was the most natural outcome of the events that unfolded.
