"Let's try together, even if we're afraid."A wonderful story, a real confrontation with problems. Imagine the…
Honestly I have never seen one of the lead characters goign to therapy from the get go. I haven't seen much but still I think it was a bug step forward for romance genre to show a lead character struggling to keep it together and admitting it whole heartedly. Not trying to solve it with love, sex or alcohol but appriaching it with maturity. This makes this series exceptionally different.
“If you take 2 steps away from me, I’ll take 3 steps toward you. If you take 2 steps forward, I’ll be here…
You have said it perfectly, I was looking for this term 'Progressive'. Such a progressive drama where love has been shown as not the solution to ALL your problems but a guiding force. I so so so appreciated that. Jae Won dealth with his trauma/issues first before committing himself. We all know irl one has to deal with their issues first to commit to something whole heartedly. I felt so good watching this. They touched upon many pressing issues but the context was not too heavy. Right before watching ep 9 and 10, I watched a movie called 'A SUN'. That one is a heavy and hard to watch movie but a very good one. After that the positivity of The Eighth Sense made me so happy. And on the 10th episode the way these two expressed their love for eachother, oh I was blushing constantly, ishhhhhhh.........
It was a difficult watch and a great movie. So complex yet so simple in its messaging. I was drawn into their world and felt sadness, despair, worry and many more emotions. A well made movie.
This one is on a different level. The directoin, cinematography, art deisgn, sequencing, OSTs, acting, story ... all so good that I can go on and on. The only typical BL thing in this series is the evil ex-GF, other than that its a mature drama about complex characters fighting their own demons and trying to establish a healthy relationship. I do want to write in details about this but another time, I am too hyped now. I need to let my emotions calm down first, just binged till ep 8.
ohhh i love this question. personally as a polyamorous bi person, I take no offense to a story about three people…
Thank you for saying it so well! Exactly my thoughts. I am all for complex characters creating a mess of the situation and trying to figure things out as they go but this, I am afraid is not that. But yes, imma still watch it though :). One of the recent Jseries that intrigued me very much was "More than words". I was so conflicted about the characters but the watch was very mucg worth it.
