Thanks! Yeah, I didn't think they showed the change in her feelings well at all. The writers did the FL dirty…
The change from " it feels like we are having unending conversation in the silent word of ours" or " if feels comfortable in the silence that I don't have to feel up with words"... to be frustrated in grocery shop or sad about stomach sounds, and uncomfortable...well, not really understandable for me and I was just confused and shocked to watch it... And I understand that honeymoon has ended, and she was sad, frustrated and angry about his deafness. But she just shut down communication with him because of that and the break-up was inevitable and fully understandable. What was not, is their reunion. It makes me feel that writer didn't really have an idea how to build conflict between them and how to overcome it.
Good review! Mo Eun part is maybe not fascinating for me but indeed raise lots of questions. She changed from mature person to toxic and at time even cruel, immature and unlikable one.. At the beginning, it looked like the writers did not really have an idea how to build conflict leading to break-up between FL and ML as they didn't follow the cheating trope from original version. They seemed to focus on FL having huge problems accepting deafness of ML, to the point when she was completely frustrated and hated him for that. This change was not really understandable, and felt sudden. Was it lack of idea? Or maybe writers indeed did it on purpose? Hmm
There is a difference between mistake and Choices . What ML did was mistake to let her ex enter his home. What…
I clearly wrote that she was at fault Her friend didn't rape her ,she agreed, but he clearly used the occassion, when she was vulnerable. She paid the highest price for that- she ended up alone.

Were you watching the show? It was her friend who confessed he has always loved her, when she was in total mess. Started kissing her.... when she was crying. He just used her!
And yes, she made a mistake letting him. She is as well at fault and payed highest price for that. But this is not cheating glorification.
this is such an underrated j-drama.I was so excited when I saw this series, I finished it in less than 24 hours.I…
It is real masterpiece! It was major hit in Japan. Scoring awards for best actor, best actress of the year...and even resulted in massive but relatively short interest in learning sign language in Japan. I loved it, stayed up all night to watch...and the scene on the beach in the last episode ,och man...I don't remember which other drama had this emotional load in one scene.
Yep,that's it. Exactly. I wrote the same in my review for this drama. This blog is btw.excellent
Exactly. Love starts when you see all the flaws of your partner, how miserable they are and you have every reason to hate them but you choose to love them and stay anyway.
Wow, what a bold statement that "going back" is "not credible". I guess you've never experienced it, and have…
And that is why this drama is not a masterpiece , and easily could be,but average K-melodrama. Resolving major issues through simple time lapse, is neglect towards viewers. But hey, not every drama can be masterpiece.

I don't think you really understood what I wrote.
I never said that starting anew is not possible. I clearly wrote that writers didn't take any effort to show viewers that anything changed since break up. That she learnt from mistakes she made that made him break up with her in first place. It is like coming back to same old problems.
Japanese original drama has the cult status for many reasons. This remake will not, mainly because of one. The viewers are introduced to every stage of relationship almost with surgical precision, from fascination, hesitation, trust...until destructive, inevitable end. The stage of growth and maturation afterwards on the other hand is almost completly neglected. Cliche, last minute ending typical for many K-dramas is therefore not credible and rather disappointing. Would going back to deeply destructive relationship be happy ending for anyone?
was the ending satisfactory? for context I LOVED this drama until ep 9ish, 10 was slow and with the reviews for…
Around episode 14 she started to be total psycho. Just awful. So in episode 15 he broke up with her. But seriously, noone would stand her so it was almost like a relief. And then in episode 16th they bring them back together in last 2 minutes. Just because. If I knew, I would watch it all because it is good, but skipped last 2 minutes of 16th episode. As if they never happened.
I wonder what was she thinking reading script for "Tell me that you love me"? "Och, from episode 13 on Mo Eun is absolute psycho who takes satisfaction in harming deaf guy mainly for his deafness. Ok, I will play that."
I will just pretend that this drama ended on episode 15. The conclusion is you can't just deeply harm your loved one without consequences. If you act like Mo Eun ,you might loose love of your life. And when you meet someone like her....RUN!!!
Am I the only one who noticed how she was dwelling again on herself and how lonely and unhappy she was with him? Because ....wait.....HE DID'T EVEN KNOW SHE IS HUNGRY BECAUSE HE DIDN'T HEAR HER STOMACH GROWLING?
The line from the play Moeun says right before the end only adds to this: "Wouldn't it be okay to stay together…
E-X-A-C-T-L-Y!, Why are there not so many people who understand it and are simply satisfied with how it ended? Guys, It is not enough to just get back together to have happy ending. Da-ah!

Not UNTIL then.

Don't take it so personally.
