Cengyi came the morning after, holding the flowers. From how upset he was, he likely knew the whole story that…
Yeah, those feelings that are turning him into a block of ice. I wonder if that will ever be broken.

It is what it is. They’re going to have plot holes. That’s just the way dramas are.

Well, at least his portion is done other than finding the bad juju and locking that away.

The episodes of themselves are decent, but why can’t she have an inner monologue? Why must she just constantly be talking to herself. They really need to stop doing that in dramas. Both modern and costume; do people not understand inner thought process? 🤦🏻‍♀️

whaaaattttt! whhhyyyy?
Someone translated on X that after another hospital stint for him, he finally confesses to her the entire thing. Apparently, during one interview CZY explained that portion and about how it was filmed. I hope they don’t cut it. It’s too important of a scene.

If he knew the whole story, he would’ve known that it was not what he thought it was that they just got stuck in the tree together. So I’m not sure.

Hey chingu !! Oh the one who cast the curse, if she change her idea and want the curse to break, it's will break…
Hence, the part about the plot hole. Because he rushes in throws that branch down, doesn’t say a word that our ML is not wearing his mask they quickly exchange tea and convo and then he rushes off. I’m like “hello accessory missing, you didn’t notice?” 🤷🏻‍♀️

That was all it took? Kind of easy curse to break.

Mu Ranwu and Suyu are one annoying couple. I cannot wait for both of them to find out the truth.
So SYS and his pal allowed the sister to take MQQ‘s identity? Actually, I hope SY never finds out because they make the perfect couple. They’re both annoying and delusional.

Wait, how did she break the curse on his face? Or did he do that by eating that sweet thingy she gave him?

Edit: Also how did Ceng Yi not notice SYS not wearing his mask anymore? That’s a bit of a plot hole.

I hope it doesn't turn into one of those "individual sacrifices for the pride of your home country" endings. After…
No, I don’t think it’s going to be anything like that. I think it’s going to be more on just him and self sacrifice or getting out because of the pain if you get my drift. Or maybe they will take him out just like other soldiers in war, not because he wanted to save someone or something. I don’t know there’s a lot of differing clips that I’ve seen about the end so I’m not really sure what’s going to happen, but I think it could be one of those two. But then if she’s left alone, she’s got the guilt as the surviving party of the relationship and the fact that she didn’t know how much he was suffering all these years. As he did not tell her. And she’s not psychic; she can’t get into his head. We see it all the time with PTSD people coming out of the combat zone where they keep everything bottled up and keep everything to themselves and then can’t take it anymore and leave this world and then they have their spouses that have to pick up the pieces. It’s a sad and tragic thing, but it happens all too often. So I’m kind of wondering whether that’s the way this thing is leaning.

If the whole point of this show is to make him another PTSD statistic then they are all going in the right direction. If at the end, he is able to get out of it then they need to make it so he releases the burden. I guess it really depends on which way they go with the show so even though many of us have gotten tired of the lying and the hidden secrets we have to keep in mind about what is the story of the show. If they are determined to make it an SE, then I would have to say it’s actually good for the actor and The character as that’s more memorable and it would be his first SE I believe in all of the series that he has done. Again, only if that’s the way they’re headed. I don’t know. I’m starting to really think that if not the entire ending of the novel which people did mention below, they’re probably gonna go halfway if they do it tastefully then it’ll be understandable.

Well, they’ve got the break up. I don’t think they’re going to fight after that. There’s too much going on especially when they go back to eastern country.

Did he at least share that with Mr. L? I hope so. At least someone needs to know.
I really hope the break helps them both in realizing things and stop keeping crap from each other. He doesn’t want to drag her down, but how does he know that it’ll drag her down? Maybe it’ll actually lift her out of her own bubble of misery and help him. He’s making a lot of decisions for her in this case and I don’t think that’s right. He’s trying to help himself and maybe in a way he will once he gets there but they need to let this out. Air everything out.

This has moved from a sad story of PTSD and trauma to a co-dependency tragedy. The psychologist isn't helping…
You have to be very careful with your own mental health when watching this series; it is very triggering in many different sections. I do agree about the codependency in lying though. And she doesn’t have a therapist. He has one and whether that’s helping or not is anyone’s guess because he’s not taking her advice about telling SR. The series is very good, but this portion of it is kind of starting to take over and I’m wondering whether they’re doing this because they want a grand explosive bad ending or some other reason.

Title The White Olive Tree Spoiler
I'm watching Ep. 24.Is anyone else getting frustrated with the NEVER-ENDING "I can't tell you anything bad that's…
The story is very strong, but this trope is starting to wear a little thin unless they’re planning to do something major with it. Because mom‘s cancer obviously was told, and he at least trusts his therapist and Mr. L enough to tell them parts of things, but the majority he keeps to himself and what I’m most afraid of is that that is going to be what makes him self-destruct. Because in the hospital, she told him “let’s tell each other let’s not hold it in. We have to fill the void in each other‘s hearts I want to do that with you” and yet he still does not do that. Even him volunteering and leaving for eastern country she finds out through her former colleague. I really hope the break gives him food for thought about sharing inner thoughts.

I think the whole terrorist abduction situation happens a lot later. I think they’re going to make up when she also arrives at that country, but I don’t know at what point if at all, he will tell her.

And in the hospital, she told him that in the future to be able to trust each other to vent frustration and he still doesn’t do it. I don’t understand. What is this like block that he has that’s not working? Now with her mom and everything that’s going on he doesn’t want to burden her, but maybe letting that out would make her feel useful too. Because she’s saying she’s feeling useless. Their miscommunication is out of this world.

Yeah, I kind of understood from the previews re: explosion. If you bottle up your emotions, it can lead to illness, and if his mother did the same thing that’s even more foreshadowing for his end.
