Is it real for you? I am sorry if you think that way because I do get the same treatment Exactly like Shiyun. At least Shiyun only get compared with one person, I get compared to 3 person. And Shiyun is rich, I am just so so. But since 2nd middle school, I start realize there is something wrong So everytime I get compared, I will fight back and talk back to my parent. So event though I still sometime get compared till high school because this word "She is she, He is he, I am what I am. Why I want to live someone life, if you want it so much just adopt them then. Don't blame me if another parent want to adopt me ok" my parent will close their mouth. FL is definitely right, i you don't know to whom you fight back, you either weak or stupid.

Total episodes only have 23 not much than usually episode modern drama, and I have to endure time screen for the snake girl?? Poor the brother but really she doesn't deserve it. How about change their screen time to Gao and Lin cousin? It's more interesting. I like the story so far (up till ep 12) even though the romance between ML and FL only show a tiny bit. I am fine with it if the writer want to more focus to their development career but if it's to insert scene the snake girl and brother, then it's not worth it at all. Skip

Novel is very different than drama, I think you will find it more satisfying because ML make
the snake flee to abroad and make sure the snake can't comeback to their Country. She even sell herself as prostitute to earn money for buy plane tickets . Try to read the novel. But drama version quite enjoyable too, at least for me

Well in novel, her stepbrother is the same. Only when he see by himself what the snake character do to FL that he stay away from her. Love is blind after all, I understand I understand 🙈

I guess the same as you from watching the trailer. I will skip her part because truly whatever redemption arc the story for her unless she sacrifice herself to die to save someone life I will not let my brother get close to a girl who has menace mindset like her. I don't understand why FL just doesn't straightforward tell her brother to stay away from that snake

Novel reader here 🙋🏻. This story is one of my reread list. I read it 2 times and it's included the side story. For 4 episode drama version I quite enjoy it but novel is more heartfelt. I like how she strict to the boundary she give to herself even to her mother (she is not avoiding her family at all but not forgive and forget easily ), how her stepfather believe in her despite everything happen, how she really love study and put all her attention to it . She doesn't have time to revenge and if someone scheming against her, ML will be her strategist to turn the tide. This is one of the part I like in the novel, ML know how FL love study so he will make sure her focus and time didn't spent in something useless drama so if something happen, ML will be the one use his time to brainstorm and teach her.

Can't sure right now because plot drama version much different than novel. But in novel, ML didn't go back to past , actually ML supposed to be dead in their future

The back and forth relationship not because they like playing games, but because when you like someone you don't want to bring darkness to their life and drag them down.

I finish the novel. Kind of different from drama . Novel more complex plot, what a disgusting mother !!! 😡😡😡
FL portrait the character quite good, as in the novel she doing this approach feel like a little childish because it's the best to do to approach the ML because she doing it to teasing him and that's exactly what ML need sometime. ML never have privilege to acting childish because the abuse of his mother so by doing this FL want to give him that chance.

Do you finish read this novel? I just getting started but I hold my self because people said many different between novel and drama. If you already read the novel, can you tell how much different?

The actor/actress do a good job with their portrait character. The OST is good too. I can't point out to what department that make it still feel amateur job, is it the director or the editor? But IMO, the screenwriter still need to upgrade their skill, the screenwriter not do a good job that make the people watching feel clueless by their conversation.

I don't need ask anyone, I am novel reader. Not only I enjoy romance drama, I read many genre too. Reading and watching film is my favorite things to do to spent my time in 31 years my life, reading novel you only depend on your brain to imagine
and feel the romance,. But by watching your eyes and ears helping your brain to stimulate it. it's the same as example when you see man and woman eat and talking together and you can know just by watching them that they are a couple or like each other because The Chemistry will show it by their tone and body language.

There's nothing wrong with your comment and you not force anyone or be moral defender. You never dismiss people choice about their demand about kissing. It actually the opposite. 👍🏻

Kissing wasn't the only way to show their chemistry. To capture the feeling of romance because the chemistry is so good even without kissing is great.

Let me explain to you. In the previous scene when they watching firework , XZ want to kiss CLZ but CLZ refuse her by subtly turn his face away. So it's kind of statement his rejection. Of course she feel hurts.
That's why after that she is kind of back off and not try to interact with him. But suddenly CLZ orchest the ticket movie things, acting mysterious as if she doesn't know it's his doing. So what is his purpose by doing this?

XZ already know she is like CLZ but she never asking him to date bcz she knows he is going to abroad. He never intend to confess too, remember in the previous episode he keep saying to her that she will forget him after she goes to university and he is going to abroad. So her purpose is just have relationship without labeling anything, maybe like "fling" with him before he go. But remember, CLZ character is a little bit conservative. He doesn't know she is thinking like that.

Bcz CLZ can't stand XZ ignore him that's why the words " what would be interesting (to you) then?is dating interesting?" implie (if I date you, will you stop ignoring me?)
XZ replied " you think everyone want to date you" (so narcissist, that's not what I want)
CLZ : " dating is also boring, what about kissing then, is kissing exciting? ( If you don't want to dating me, will kissing you can make you not upset anymore?)
XZ : CLZ , you can't handle it ( the nerve of you, CLZ. Offering kiss when you obviously can't do it when I try to kiss you before)
CLZ : "do you just want to play with me,who can't handle it, the one who ignore my WeChat is you, isn't it?( so what is do you want from me then? Do you think you can dating me when you know I will go soon)
XZ : " dating is boring, kissing is also boring, dating and kissing are both boring, not dating but kissing is really excited. So, some things are completely useless to care about to much"(This is how she state her purpose. With just a little time they have dating will burden his heart and mind, kissing him only but not have close relationship will be useless, but "fling" mean have a close relationship with him while they can still kissing without labeling anything to ease his mind is acceptable, so CLZ no need to overthinking it much. Do you think you can handle that kind of relationship?)
CLZ: "you want to play, right?okay. Just don't cry later"( so that is what you want. Okay I accepted. But don't cry and regret it later when time for me to go is arrived)
XZ : "don't worry, I'll happily see you off on your flight" ( I will not be clingy when that time come, so ease your mind and let just spend our little time together)

She is not angry like mad angry 😡 but angry because she is a little bit embarrassed because when they always talking together about study example their college exam she is always under impression that CLZ is an average student that failed his exam because she hear him got scold by his mom. That's why she try to avoid talking about their exam results so he doesn't feel down when the truth is he is supposed to be the top scorer but CLZ never want to clarify her assumption (hiding it in purpose) That's why she said "you deceive me?"

Agree 👍🏻. Even the reason they give is unbelievable . Just by read they words I can feel the bitterness of they life . I can sense their point of view about life. So closed mind
