The rumor is the actress has an affair with the director of this drama. While the director and the producer (the producer is a woman) of this drama had affair started from since they worked together for their previous project, drama Ancient Love Poetry starred by actor Xu Kai and actress Zhao Dong Yu as main lead. After that the director cheated the producer and currently(?) they are exes LOL
You can see that even the director get kind of blurred in videos of the behind the scenes of this drama. That is the power of producer but yeah, that show she is not a professional person.
