Since this is a remake: will Sila sleep with Kwan as part of the revenge still? Am I the only one doesn’t want…
I would assume so. There's always a turning point in a slap/kiss where the pra'ek (or nang'ek, but let's be honest - it's almost always the pra'ek) does something so terrible that the nang'ek flees or gives up on him. In HJS, it's apparently the sleeping with her sister, so I can't imagine the drama changing that bit, unless they change it to a misunderstanding?
I'm not looking forward to it, but at least knowing about it ahead of time has me prepared for it, lol
I wouldn't recommend skipping, because yes, you would miss a lot. Even scenes that include Mo Shan Shan in it…
Thanks for the advice! I did end up finding some summaries and skipping around a bit, but was still able to follow everything and see all the important moments. I did skip most of Mo Shan Shan though. Honestly, like you said, she's such a flat character. She bored me.
That being said, I feel like her little romance (if it can be called that) with Ning Que made sense. It was shallow and they didn't actually know each other that well, but it's not like much more than that was required back in the day to take a consort/wife/whatnot. The real issue is that Ning Que and Sang Sang never even really discussed their feelings or how their future would go with another woman in it. They just sort of assumed that's how it would be and everything would be fine. Can't blame Ning Que for expecting to have multiple concubines, when that was the standard of the time.
But obviously that didn't work out, lol. I can't wait for next season! I did get really attached to Arthur Chen...but yeah, I think Dylan Wang will be able to fill his shoes, and he's a bit older, so if they choose to have more intimate scenes, they won't have to worry about it being so controversial.
On MUSE in order to watch the dramas they are asking you to donate then you will be placed in either inner circle…
You do realize that they have to pay for server space for their site, the DM account, and any other servers they use to store all their dramas, right? That's what the donations go to. They don't make an actual livable profit. Also, if you read their notice, you would know that it doesn't depend on how much you donate. A and B have the same content. It's likely just to properly direct traffic.
Honestly, I wouldn't even mind if they WERE profiting off of it. Translators do their work on a volunteer basis, and it is a TON of work that takes away from their personal lives. I donated to them before it was required for early access, and I will continue to do so, because I deeply appreciate all the work they do. No one is owed free drama translations. Goodness.
I got so sick of MSS. I thought going to at least ep 45 was good for me.. They had that girl in there way too…
I haven't even gotten to her yet, and I'm already sick of her lol! I'm just concerned that if I skip entire eps, I'll miss out on important plots with other characters like Sang Sang and Long Qing and the old dudes that are all so great.
I'm also reminding myself not to worry about it too much. I mean, when you think about it, Sang Sang is just becoming a woman and Ning Que is young and just discovering women. It's not weird that he would have a serious crush on some idealized woman like MSS, especially without SS around. Though they go off the novel and go too far with MSS,, she's pretty much a vehicle to push NQ and SS to realize their more adult feelings for each other. This whole time Sang Sang has been talking about Ning Que bringing a woman home, and when he finally does, she realizes that isn't what she wants at all.
QUESTION for y'all! I'm really enjoying the series, but I'm already dreading the unnecessary MSS arc. Can I skip like, ep 33 thru 45 entirely, or should I still watch them and just skip her scenes? Will I miss much important plot if I skip them entirely?
Also, I just read Dylan Wang is taking over the next season, and I'm looking forward to that. I think he'll do a great job. I wasn't crazy about the Chinese meteor garden, since it was like BoF with all it's teeth removed, but I really enjoyed him in it, lukewarm plot aside.
This is probably a dumb question but who else WANT ANOTHER 4th SEASON? TWM:The Last Chapter?
Oh man, much as I don't want to stop seeing Max&Tul, I don't know that I could ever trust the writers to continue after this mess. BTW, can one of y'all spoil me on what happened with Cho and Yihwa? I loved them so much in Bad Romance and was SO excited to see them back together, but that all got ruined. I will legit skip their scenes if they didn't end up together :/
It's not just makjang, it's BAD makjang. All you need to know is this: there's no kiss. Not a single one. Not even a peck. It starts out strong and fun and quickly just falls apart. I ended up getting frustrated and skipped through, thinking that there would at least be some sort of enjoyable hook up, considering how flirtatious the lead was. Nope. Not a one.
Trust me, and I rarely ever say this...but don't bother. I can handle some ridiculous makjang - I'm a lakorn fan, after all - but this doesn't even have a pay off for all the suffering. 100% not worth it.
Am I the only one who thinks the cover looks like Emergency Couple?
Similar cover art, but no, this is nothing like Emergency Couple. The couple doesn't even seem to separate for a certain amount of time. It's more like they're edging on divorce, but judging from the trailer, that never actually happens - and if it does, it's momentary.
It's actually more about them trying to spice up/save their marriage and overcome her judgmental family that doesn't like her husband.

(A Thai emergency couple would be a lot of fun though!)
