I finished this series, but I don't want to believe that I finished it. I'm going to miss all the characters so much π And one thing's for sure, Dongfang Qingcang might have lost his hellfire, but he got his glazed fire π₯
I love that Rong Hao had a redeeming quality. He actually wasn't born evil, but Tai Sui manipulated him to do such things. I first hated him, but his actions were understandable, but not justified.
Tbh, never really been a Wang Hedi fan before this but he slayed. Hands down. His Mandarin is perfect, itβs…
I second that! I don't want him to lose his accent because this indicates where he comes from, and although I don't speak Mandarin (i wish I could), his accent sounds good on him and also suits his overall personality. Idk why some people say that his Mandarin is "problematic" (talking about a popular Chinese drama vlogger who said it in many videos. Hint: Rants) because of his accent. Then as per her logic, my English is "problematic" as I have a thick Indian accent when I speak English, right? I guess that the Perfect Mandarin thing is stricter in historical Chinese dramas than in modern ones. Idk why Chinese actors aren't allowed to have accents -_- correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that Chinese movies are more forgiving to diverse accents than dramas. I hope he uses his voice one day (although I'm pretty sure he used his in The Rational Life). Thank you so much for your reply. I'm nearing the end of CLJ.
I'm still yet to finish the drama, but you said it all ( I can justify it since I've seen spoilers on the IQIYI YouTube channel π) I've just always been a Wang Hedi fan since 2020 (and I'm so thankful for that), when I watched Meteor Garden, and I've been saying this almost everywhere, but I feel that he hates Miss The Dragon the way Robert Pattinson hates Twilight π anyway, I believe that this drama shows cliched tropes in an uncliched way. I also never found Esther Yu's voice to be THAT annoying like a lot of viewers said in the beginning. I initially watched it to support Wang Hedi, although my gut said that it's going to be a great drama, and it turned out amazing! Everyone performed great, including Esther and Dylan (looks like I have to check more of Esther's and Zhang Linghe's works). Hong Xiao was also the third best as Jieli, and Charles Lin as Shang Que was likable. I like that Esther dubs her own characters. I hope that Wang Hedi does the same, after mastering his Mandarin. I think it's just me, but I never had second-lead syndrome (I think you know why), although I like Changheng, but I liked him even more as Xiao Run π really missed him! I'm so thankful for directors like Yi Cheng, who can show the true potential of actors. The fact that he directed Young Blood itself made my hopes higher. This really makes me want to check out more of his works. By seeing the drama only you can see that the production team really worked their butts off. Everything, from the settings, to the CGI, to the direction, to the voice dubbing was impressive. I wouldn't mind rewatching it on Netflix when it appears, even though I know that it's going to be heavy in the end! Thanks for your review π keep it up βΊοΈ
MG better than CLJ?! Seriously? I do like MG, but CLJ is so far, Didi's best drama! He rightfully got his break…
Daoming Si is also complex in one way (parental negligence, violent sister), but Dongfang Qingcang is a better person overall. In fact, he faced even worse!

Hi! On my first sentence i wrote, "CLJ better than MG?! Seriously?" And when I read this, i immediately realized my mistake and edited it to "MG better than CLJ?! Seriously?" π€£π€£ Silly me!! Anyways, i hope you got what I'm saying!! I just made a big blunder here so I corrected it. I'll have to say CLJ is way better, although both the genres of the dramas are extremely different.
Iβm curious. Tell me when & why you started to watch LBFAD. I started at the beginning. I like Esther Yu & have…
I can't reccoment much of Esther's dramas as I don't follow her so much, but I heard that Find Yourself (where I first got to know her) and Moonlight are very good ones. For Dylan, I recommend "The Rational Life", my favorite drama after CLJ.
Frankly i try strt watching LBFAD because ive lost inrest with other xian xia drama... ive been watch numerous…
"Not like other typical xian xia.. the ML suddenly fond with the FL then fall in love without any reason.. . then suddenly he willing to do anything....its just feel rushed and typical.. its always the same forbidden love and the ML hve to hide his feeling and protect the FL .. and made her MISUNDERSTANDING The ML πͺπͺπͺ.. oh and the MAIN OBSTACLE to their love wil laways the HEAVENLY EMPEROR.. .. the FATHER .. THE most HIGH INFLUENCE in the drama... π" . . . Miss The Dragon in a nutshell π€£π€£
I'm so glad we as a CLJ fans society grew to a point were everybody defends XLH with either just b*tch slapping…
Yes!! Xiao Lanhua is a prime example or a well written stong female lead. Although she might start out as a typical damsel in distress, if you see further, then she has personality, and is definitely far from dumb.
I can't trust any other platforms except for mdl, twt, and reddit. I went to tiktok and found people saying meteor…
MG better than CLJ?! Seriously? I do like MG, but CLJ is so far, Didi's best drama! He rightfully got his break here!!! Ik they are different genres, but CLJ is a lot less problematic compared to MG. Even though CLJ is adapted from a novel, at least it's more original than MG, which is one of the n number of remakes of Hana Yori Dango. I never read the novel, but i heard that the drama is way different than the novel, and that Dongfang Qingcang is more of a gentleman compared to that in the novel. He is a much more complex character than Daoming Si.
In fact, the interactions between XR and DFQC make it very comical.
