I mean, maybe? It's a pretty decent crime drama so far. I'd recommend checking it out for yourself and see how you like it ☺️ LYX does a great job in this one, like he does in all of the dramas he's in.

Okay, after watching the whole series, in the last few episodes, there are small hints of a future possible romance between her and a side character.

This ending was a lot less heartbreaking, and more satisfying than many other cdramas I've seen, IMO! But, yes. I'd love a season 2!

The bromance was SO good in this drama. And yes, the chemistry is off the charts! It was one of my favorite watches of 2025, and that's including the full length dramas I watched. If only it was LONGER 😭 It has so much potential to be a longer series. The chemistry and the acting was THERE.

I agree! And they do have a very wholesome connection. Hopefully we will get more bromance dramas in 2026 🤞🤞 There already are a few on my watchlist that will Hopefully be coming out this year.

That's good to know. I mean we all know the opening title says "Season 1", but of course some dramas can have cliffhanger endings and then they never get a second season, even if one was initially planned 😖

Okay, I’m only on episode 3, but this series really has me hooked so far! I admit, I'm also a Lou Yunxi fan, so seeing his beautiful face on the screen definitely helps keep me engaged 😍 But putting that aside, the other actors are doing great in their roles and the plot is dark and very intriguing.

I really enjoyed this drama. It is definitely more friendship focused and about the connections the ML makes with the people around him. There isn't really much romance. What little bit there is, it's mostly one-sided; the male lead has bigger priorities and doesn't have time to fall in love. He's too focused on trying to save his mentor Fang Zhou (the one he really loves most) anyway.

Yeah, they could've done without that plotline. I personally didn't mind it too much, but it really should have just been one episode. It dragged on for too long.

Yes, there is humor sprinkled in as well! There are dorky/silly moments with Su Beilu. And, they do have an older serious/carefree youger type of friendship. Beilu definitely has golden retriever energy.

It's been a very enjoyable show so far! You should definitely check it out. And it's more historical time travel/slight sci-fi than fantasy. There are wuxia/fantasy elements in a couple of episodes, but not the whole show.
