Some people just like shows where two people have a very deep bond/connection, but that isn't necessarily s#xual or explicitly romantic. Dare I say I prefer it over conventional romance? I'm not one to watch a lot of romance focused dramas these days. anyway π€·πΌββοΈ I understand you're point though, (particularly with Arrest and Action), but personally, I'm glad they're making a few bromance shows here and there, for people who prefer to watch dramas with deep bonds between two people, but without the need for s#x or kissingπ€·πΌββοΈ
Y'all, the first episode was very good! I'm seeing the beginnings of a beautiful bond between Pete and Niran; especially with that end credit scene π₯Ή Side note: the OST song is dope! And the lyrics π₯Ίπ€πΌ
can you please take off βthe bromanceβ tag? they have never said that itβs a bromance, not even in the βdocumentaryβ…
Well, just judging by the first episode, I'd say there's bromance in it! Maybe not the main focus, but definitely enough to warrant a tag, in my opinion π I've watched a lot of dramas on here with a bromance tag that have had less bromance than this show, so π€·πΌββοΈ
I've watched a lot of Chinese dramas with bromance in them, and a lot of them didn't have the bromance tag, so π€·πΌββοΈ I don't think it means much if there isn't one π
I donβt think so. They will probably turn it into friendship or family bonding since China government very strict…
I suppose it depends on your definition of "bromance". Bromance could also mean a close platonic bond/friendship between two males, something closer to what's portrayed in Mysterious Lotus Casebook and Blood of Youth. I think bromance can have romantic undertones like The Untamed, or it can be a purely platonic/deep friendship ππΌ
And in this show, of course it will be a more friendship/family bond, because they're adopted brothers. It would be kind of weird if they made into something different, in my opinion π€·πΌββοΈ
Is the novel BL and the the adaptation will be bromance like The Untamed? π
The novel is not BL. They're not allowed to make censored 'bromance' adaptions of BL novels in Mainland China like The Untamed and Word of Honor anymore anyway, unfortunately π
That being said, I think this show has the potential to have bromance in it βΊοΈ And from I've heard Yunxi's character spends a decent amount of screen time with Alen's, so fingers crossed!
Yeah, I get it π I'm upset as well with them π I actually felt a similar way when I watched the new trailer for Shadow Punisher π I was a little underwhelmed; it looked slightly lower budget than I was expecting. Still excited to watch it, but I'm not letting my expectations get too high ππΌ
The acting and story is what's most important to me π€·πΌββοΈ Sure, the CGI could definitely look better, but I'm here for the story and the acting first. I'm definitely against what IQIYI plans to do with AI. I am VERY anti-AI...
