The laws haven't changed in Mainland China. Any BLs that are being made are still not allowed to air in Mainland China. To my limited knowledge, the companies making BLs with Chinese actors are co-produced with entertainment companies outside of China, like Thailand and Singapore. I'm sure there are other work arounds that production teams use too. But they air outside of China, although I'm sure plenty of Chinese people find ways to watch them anyway, haha.

Yeah 😭 I sure hope it wasn't because this drama has bromance, but I doubt that was the main reason, because there couldn't have been 12 episodes worth of "bromance" stuff in the first place, haha. Sometimes dramas are filmed and they have an estimated number of episodes once filming starts, but then the final episode count ends up less 🤷🏼♀️ So who knows 🤔
