Victoria is actually pretty but she doesn't match historical / classis beauty looks . That's why most of her drama are modern. Her wigs aren't help either lol but she has high forehead so... LOL

While I love Bai Lu and think she has so much potential, she doesn't match male lead HX and is too skinny for a lady guard role. (I kind of hate most C-actresses are too skinny which is too unconvincing when they play badass or strong roles like this. They are more about looking good than anything else) .
Victoria has traditional dance foundation that helps with those action moves and she look strong enough to be lady guard. Same with male lead HX. That's why their action scenes are so good and convincing vs other dramas. And Victoria matches HX better. You can see their build-up tension in the show already even they are still putting a knives on each other's neck.

Acting wise she is doing fine. In fact they recorded their voices on site and SQ did pretty well even this is pretty much her 1st official historical drama. So it's totally understandable if her lines aren't as good as compared to other more-experienced actors in the drama . If BL took over this role, I'm not sure the result would be the same or better. Because even BL filmed more historical dramas, she was actually criticized for her "studio" dub in her last historical drama Song of youth.... And while I like her performance in The legend, many chineses found it's greasy, which is not the case for Victoria's in Luoyang. Most people are impressed and think she was unexpectedly convincing as a badass lady guard and they love her action scenes. If you aren't aware most of c-actresses use doubles for their actions (aka you can't see their faces) but you could see Victoria did most of her stunts herself, aka you can see her face in those actions shoots. That's one of the reasons people love her action scenes. aside her move are clean and smooth...

But it's actually no point talking about this tbh. BL or any other actresses you mentioned above wasn't the production choice in the 1st place anyway, right? You might think they could do better but they might not since we never know

But it's pretty obvious why real QY is taking revenge, no? Or people are blind of his love that can change in a blink?

I mean put yourself in her shoes. She almost died, getting raped and the guy always said he love her giving her face, her identity and her everything, even her violin that she loves the most to another girl, and completely forget about her. She lost everything after she worked so hard for. She can't even be herself when she return. She has no where to go... No one know she is missing except him but he already turned his back to her. He basically killed the real QY.
What did she do so bad that deserve to get everything stolen away from her to have him killing her?!?!?

YZ is creepy tbh and even criminal. He violated human right and laws. He always said he love QY and yet turned around love XD so fast. He also stole everything from QY and give himself the right to decide fates of 2 people in the name of love and y'all here feel bad for him?!?!
I personally wouldn't want any of the girl to be with him. QY is selfish but is he not? At least she didn't violate the law. I would run away if I know someone like in reality...

I don't think she is aiming with younger male leads. She has only played jiedilian/ noona romannce in Find yourself and the rest she is supposed to be younger even she is older than the male leads. But you can look at the current market, who has capital power, or who are available. It's NOT her who can decide who to be her male lead. Even more popular/ successful actresses don't usually have the power to choose their leading men. The investors usually make the choices and of course they would go for younger more potential rising actors right?

I personally think she has better chemistry with younger male leads ( and imo, look good too) so it works fine for me. And her most successful dramas were with younger male leads prove that most people probably think like me.

However she does work with older male leads. You happen don't watch or even know them. Her last drama Love yourself male lead/ love interest weren't younger than her for example. So she doesn't restrict herself from male lead age and can work with both. And a matter of fact, after the success of FY, she is the 1st choice when it comes to jiedilian dramas but she hasn't picked one since then to show you that she doesn't stick with the same role just because she has more offers or it's successful

The drama wasn't very smooth in the 1st ep but trust me, it's not what it look like.
After 3 ep, every ep get better and keep you on your toes.

But at least it looks pretty good because she actually took lessons. You can look at the BTS. But the editing didn't do a good job with the sound matching.

OH might not be handsome but he is definitely a better actor than most popular actor out there. He fits the role in this drama perfectly and actually gaining many fans with this drama

I feel like we all don't know anything about real QY at this point. And it's possible what we know only what YZ want us / fake QY to know. I also thought that he was so obsessed with her so he can't accept loosing her.
But what if he actually "killed" her and need a replacement to look normal. That's why in the beginning he was pretty cold/violent with her... until she got scared and hurt him, then he had to change plan with her and started falling for her slowly.

But the new preview had me like, if the real QY is really back and they aren't tricking us then what did he do to her for say such things....

Seems like she is coming back with the help of her manager next week. But after the twist in ep 12 we will find out if she is real QY or XD pretend her to scare YZ again lol

Ep 12 really surprised me and threw many of my earlier theories away.

You can't really predict anything with this drama lol. Like in the beginning we all felt YZ is creepy, then we felt bad for him because he got cheated and used. And as they and the current QY and him falling for each other I thought previous QY will go back and take revenge and to get her life back. But now it's revealed that he is the mastermind behind this whole "play" and current QY starts "playing along" with him. I don't know where the story is going anymore but I love seeing him getting scared of what he created though. He isn't the only one who is playing chess anymore.

Actually I love this drama because there are so many theories among fans but most proven to be wrong in next ep. LOL finally some fresh and powerful writing among Chinese script writers

In the ep 13,14 previews, the real QY is back (??!) and said she wants YZ to beg for her forgiveness. If she is the real QY, what did YZ did to her ? Did he try to kill her and replace her with a fake one intentionally ?!!?! OMG!!! Or was it what current QY said?

I watched the drama and aside of the girl has body double and working related to music, nothing else is the same...
After the new preview, I wonder what YZ did to QY in Japan. Was it a pure accident?

In fact the night before the drama director throwing some theories like what if the current YZ is also a substitute. And the real QY was already suspecting and investigating him. That's why he created the fake QY. If she died, then it's all good and no one knows. If the real QY is alive no one believes her since there is another QY next to him... There are more in his theories btw.

If they is going for this direction my brain will probably be burned by the end of this drama LOL
