The drama made her loosing her sight for him probably to force him falling for her... But I'm sure they will find a way to help her later when they find out. She can't be blind and rule a country I don't remember that part in the novel but again, I skipped a lot of non-otp scenes. The drama changes a lot from the novel imo.

Untouchable lovers are quite different from the book.... And the book is much better. Once gain they can't make a male harem for a girl but gave a male lead harem instead. But the male lead is a bit too "calculated" in my opinion but I understand him LOL.
And yes, they always make the male leads better and female lead weaker in the drama compared to the novel... I really hate it and get frustrated for the female characters... from tmopb, his excellency's first love and fuyao... It's so unfair...

LOL it's basically what's I's saying. It's all personal references instead of what you said the main romance is repetitive and the side romances aren't... Since 60% or more of all the romance are the same. I'm just simply disagreed with what you said Wuji- Fuyao just like most historical romance when you don't even know the full plot yet and how side romance are unique. But of course, I respect your opinion and never force you to like anything you don't :)

That's why, unlike you, I don't like this romance plot. I hate seeing a woman being pitiful... and have no self respect... I'm arrogant and love myself too much to do that in real life so I can't find a common voice with the female characters... But at least in this drama I believe they will make ZBY like her at the end... She isn't the main lead so she doesn't have luxury of many people like her. Some supporting roles do but not often and at least now here. She will have that when she get promoted to be the lead :) People ship doctor with Fuyao or Wuji more... Haha how different do you want? I mean you don't know even know the romance full romance plot between Wuji and Fuyao yet. What has he done in his past life for her or how she was born? Who is he and who she is? It's the reason why he fall for her so fast in this life... I'm not saying they are one of the kind but Fuyao and Wuji romance is complicated and isn't typical... at all, like you would see in in every other historical drama. He was a god and she was lotus demon. He was willing to destroy everything he created and left his position in heaven for her sake and feed her his blood and energy for 300 years... so she can become human. What we have been seeing is their 2nd chance of love...
And you are saying like BZY and LY is a unique plot? We have the same 2nd couple in tmopb... and many other cdramas and kdramas. A naive kind girl being clingy to powerful and cold man and willing to do everything and sacrifice herself for him even if he doesn't care?
I mean it's ok to like who you like but to me romance are similar everywhere... at least like 60% of it. If you like the actor, visual or the plot type ( girl chasing or guy chasing, who has more control and power), it'd shape up your choice... Or at least that's how I select my dramas...
