Somehow it makes me appreciate the sad but beautiful ending of them staying single in the novel. Their characters were beautiful until the end including ZL

Agree it took Taiyan 30 eps. And all the harem was unnecessary. Even Tiansha was draggy with all the changes plot and clingy LZ and ZBY romance development. They could have ended it at 50.

And yes all the characters is become a background to Wuji who is stronger, taking all the credit, suffers more with his family than the book and giving up everything for Fuyao. That's why I said they should change the title instead of using Fuyao and YM to get attention.

Male lead- Zhangsun Wuj is Crown prince of Tianquan but he pretending Xuanyuan Min - Heir apparent of Taiyuan, and even became King in earlier eps

They will definitely change because there is a king/ Fuyao's dad in the novel and we don't have in the drama
What I love about Wuji in the novel is that he really respect her and her wishes that he wouldn't touch her matter unless she in a very danger situation. But the drama clearly tried to get him involve in everything even giving most of her plots to him ( helping others to get the throne and fighting ) so... I'm very disappointed.

He isn't really the evil evil in the novel but the drama seems to make him the final boss instead of WJ's master. Either him or the Evil Fuyao lmao. So I really don't know what will happen lol
But if they made Fuyao turned evil for stupid reason I will cut someone lol

Exactly... people who don't know the book might have no problem and think Fuyao's character just sucks
But for people who read the book and know who is Fuyao and what has she done in the book, it's frustrating to watch the drama right now... seeing how much they weakened and discredit her character by big margin. Worse, they give all her credit and achievement to the male lead.
And I agree with you if it's not for the changes and discredit they made to Fuyao character I'd have enjoyed the drama much more because they opt chemistry, acting was good in most part, music and visual etc... I wonder if this has to do with all the SARFT restrictions on historical dramas ( like cutting her harem, making her more human and not perfect god like= giving her more weaknesses and take out her achievements, less focus on her etc...) Because otherwise I don't understand why they changed so much

Women empowerment in historical dramas was doing ok before until those SARFT uncles get their hand on it...

So let's hope they can wrap up nicely because as someone who read the novel, I'm not happy how the story is turning out especially on Fuyao character and plot

I appreciated that they wanted to give happy endings to everyone unlike the book.
But they should have done better job with the script... Both relationships were weak and forced... The characters are getting weaker with the love line developments
I kind hate that all these changes make Fuyao just a side slot on her own drama too... instead she should be the center...

It's ridiculous how they get rid off of Fuyao's love interests and plots to give it to others...
Like they are loosing the core of the novel story- which supposed to be love without regret. All these men love and was willing so sacrifice for her without regret. They considered meeting her is the luckiest thing in their life but in the drama, none cared about Fuyao but Wuji... Even ZBY was like 1-min admiring. She does nothing for them too instead of helping them to get on top of the world like the novel as her way of pay them back...
The plots for both ZY -QY and ZBY-LZ were both forced.... The novel's ending was sad but beautiful for each of their characters...

The sad thing is she is supposed to be the one that help all the guys to get their thrones and remain peace among the kingdom
But yes let's give Wuji all the credits because it's ok for men to be superior but not women...

I still don't get why everything has to be about him in the drama when it's all her achievements plotting and fighting in the novel. If they want to change everything at least change the name because this isn't what I was promised
This drama production treat Fuyao character poorly

Honestly don't compare them because they are 2 different genres. Fuyao is more of fantasy/adventure/MA/romance . And they take out many serious political plots in the novel... and turn the some of the villains to be cuter and funnier than they are supposed to be...

I'm glad to see the previews because we finally move back to the main plot. Xuanji-Fuyao's identity.
The rain scene is one of the most anticipated scenes. It shows how much Fuyao loves Wuji and how she had to fight with her own principles

Fuyao stopped crying when Wuji appeared though... I mean they make her weak but she isn't a cry baby...
I feel like they tried to make her more "human" but Fuyao in the book has flaws and contradict herself sometimes and is selfish when it comes to her goal so she is human "enough"

Wuji stays intelligent though... even he shouldn't be the one who does all the plotting for other kingdoms in this drama.
