Well it might be crap to you but it's what happening in the book more than the previous eps
Ya Lanzhu is 2nd lead girl and she isn't evil and Tai Yan too even she loves Wuji. But you seem to not see it.

Yes it's cute and honestly he loves and did so much for her in the book. I feel bad for him too... Haha He doesn't mind giving up his life for her time after time. Wuji finally has a rival that makes him nervous haha.

The last few ep have been packed with events after events and they are following the book now... So it's interesting to see how things will lay out tomorrow and next week's ep...
And did you see Fuyao in the lotus in the preview? I was shocked because I didn't think they would include their past lives part.

Haha it's not something that you expected ( like LZ and BZY love line related) .He lied that he and his team are getting water and asked Fuyao to take care LZ because he didn't want Fuyao to be in danger... But Fuyao caught on and called him out for it... and she wouldn't let them fight alone so she tag along... He isn't happy because Fuyao's life will be in danger when she goes with them

Fuyao is fearless and brave than any men.... He got turned on by that in the drama
In the novel it was a bit different... In the beginning he just pointed randomly at her ( unlike the drama he didn't know her and she has an "ugly face" that time) to say that she is his love so LZ stop bothering him... But Fuyao got mad of him causing her trouble and try to beat him up... There is no girl dared to do that... So he falls for her... If I remember correctly LOL.
And he likes her more and more each time seeing how fearless she is each battles... I don't remember LZ is that brave or good at fighting as the drama portrays as such a fighter... I think the drama painted her a bit better cuter etc... ? Or at least it's my impression... I need to reread the book lol.

That's why they changed it because in the novel... the kings of all the countries are in love with her and she is too superior that beating a*s left and right lol
So they had to make her weaker and more normal in the drama.
I personally don't mind because I like my male lead being a bit jealous to keep him on his toes especially he is someone can control everything like Wuji

I guess it's because I believe all girls deserves that treatments... and I don't like seeing girls suffering for chasing after males.

No they cut it. The doctor and his brother ( who wasn't his brother in the novel) were supposed to be in love with her. ZBY is a much bigger "love rival" in the novel as he spends much more time through life and death with her in the book. The drama focus a lot on wuji when the novel focus on Fuyao and Wuji is just one of her male harem lol

Okay in the preview because Fuyao wants to risk her life to save ZBY so Wuji was a bit jealous... He said how straight forward and lively ZBY is and how girls would easy to fall for him... He wish he could be in life and death with Fuyao like Fuyao and ZBY were... and wish how the person laying down here were him so she would be worried for him instead LOL.
Basically Fuyao wants to risk her like to save ZBY ( because come on, he saved her life LOL) but Wuji was like what's about me ? LOL It's cute because he is finally jealous... It's only been her being jealous in the drama. Some spices at least because he was too confident and has too much control before

I haven't watched ep 41-42 but seeing parts of the previews of ep 33 and 34... I can tell you this they are following the book...
But remember there are 7 books and we only have 66 eps so they had to combine things together... so it might feel overwhelming... especially if you don't understand what they are saying...

Yes, the drama ignored it unfortunately ... It's mentioned often in the novel. Like very time she fights and would level up when she meet someone has better skill than her and ends up win over them....

Rather than saying YM portraying her more refined I'd say the drama toned down her character a lot to fit all the SARFT restrictions and become more typical Chinese female characters... It's not their fault because the restrictions for historical is getting really tough this year. I think Fuyao is one of a few historical dramas ( 3 right now and 2 just started this week I think?) were able to come out on TV this year... Most became web dramas because they couldn't pass SARFT. Just like they didn't let BQ openly started thee 1-night-stand talk with YH they didn't let Fuyao ruin Pei Yuan's face in the drama either...

They toned down Wuji and ZBY too... But I'm glad they still show Wuji's ruthlessness.
The male harem was cut due to one of the restrictions too... LOL Like they don't want the female lead to be magically powerful ( but it's ok for the male lead???) and have male harem ( but again it's ok for male lead???? So unfair LOL)
