Honestly, it's reasons like this that middle-aged actors are losing out on leading roles. A 24-year-old getting a main role so early seems premature. He could have started with more supporting roles to gain experience and become more seasoned. But no, the producers had to cast him as the lead, which will inevitably create a power dynamic where he'll demand nothing less than lead roles in the future. As a result, actors in their 30s and 40s lose out on so many opportunities. It's frustrating.
