WTF is wrong with peoplenever mind the story(its damn good) just from the ML acting this should be rank top this…
People are not used to this type of format or style. Many are judging and have expectations as if they are watching a network full hr series.

"As 4 those things u want to fix , instead of removing them, how about we get to know them together. 1st, dating, let's find out what that means 1st"

Really love these words from jae won.

I was all for them going their separate ways. But this was a lovely realistic way of putting them back together without it seeming forced.

"he might have low self respect and is clingy and obsessed ...." how did you come up with this conclusion??? wow
it's wild how a person wanting answers, being upfront and open with their emotions and feelings is seen as clingy, whiny etc. Soon as she was direct with him, he understood and backed off. Eun oh I guess admitted to herself what we all knew, she prioritize herself above anyone else- even her friends. I'm just happy she said it to him.

"He is too compassionate, open, honest and empathetic for someone like her. " You forgot to mention "obsessive,…
How is he any of those things? Bc he wants direct answers from her? Bc he doesn't hide his feelings and pretends all is well? So be it. At least one always knows where he stands, no immature nonsense.

Eun oh /jae won flashback scenes at the start were necessary because it established very well the extent of their romance and made me understand why jae won held on to that love so long instead of seeing it as just a fling. But I knew if eun oh was straight foward with him, he would have understood and backed off. I'm glad she finally told him a truth- putting herself first is more important than loving him. Sad it took so long for her to say it, even more sad she didn't tell him when they were at yangyang but alas it was said. Eun oh is a very cold person. Maybe she became that way because of her ex fiancé, but her and jae won are not on the same page. He is too compassionate, open, honest and empathetic for someone like her. Eun oh, rin i and kang geon friendship is one of my favorite thing about this series. Their interactions, the way they support, let each other be without judgement, and care about each other is a joy to watch.

Sad there's only 1 episode left of this great series. I've really enjoyed how they portrayed relationships in the realest most raw way possible. Nothing felt imposed, but presented and allowed you not only to be introspective but reflective. Finally, based on some of the comments, I think people forget this is a short docu-style web series not the standard network show.

So far I'm am liking this series. Took me about the 3rd ep to get used to the style and really get into the story. Honestly if it weren't for JCW and KJW, I probably would not have continued, I am so happy I did.

Person Ji Chang Wook
Ji chang wook is one of my favorite kdrama actors. One of the few who tries different type of roles/genre and go out his comfort zone. It's unfortunate I feel he does not get appreciated enough or get the accolades he deserves. This is the 2nd time he did not win a best actors award but his female partner did this time for BSR( 1st time was SP). Yet he was the one who got attacked the most for all the controversy surrounding BSR, no one else. Even going back further with his masterpiece Empress Ki, he was not nominated nor did he win many awards for his role as emperor, while his female partner won many. I will not be surprised if same happens with LSITC- his female partner gets the accolades/awards while he gets nothing smh. I hope he knows how much he is loved and supported by his fans. I will always champion his courage for wanting to do different things and fighting against the box people try to put ( or keep) him in.

What is up with all the people making new accounts to just attack posters on the comment section and rate Start…
namzy crew are on a mission everywhere lol. They are either attacking KSH fans, KSH himself, arguing with critics/reviewers who might not see things their way or doing stuff like this- creating multiple accounts on these type of platforms to increase SU rating.

It has not so good reviews just wondering to watch this drama or not
though I didn't give it the most favorable review, I would say, watch it if you want to, don't just go by reviews. If you don't like it, at least you will walk away with meeting a wonderful character like jipyeong and even more so discover the amazing person behind the character.

Ah yes the first kiss, I don't think it ruined it for me but i did feel at the time it was random. I assumed the writer did that to put an end to the love triangle so to take hjp plot to another direction while establishing dodal relationship but obviously not- such a disappointment.

Title Start-Up Spoiler
I just rewatched the first episode. It really was art, so beautifully done. Looking at it again, I guess the petal skipping everyone but falling on dosan was a foreshadowing (outside of the obvious NHS being the lead). So many things I missed and realized this time around:

-For whatever reason I thought HJP stole money from grandma so left out of guilt lol. I didn't realize he was making investment under her name which increased her savings. But of course it was more for him than it was for her.
-So it was grandma who said she wanted dalmi penpal to be someone who looks well off and comes from a good family, now I understand how dosan came to HJP radar.
-I thought HJP was just doing a favor for grandma when writing the letters. Yes at first it started as so, but him seating near the birdbox with a lil smirk on his face holding her letter proved otherwise.
-HJP was really an angry kid. what he said about being kicked out of the orphanage bc he was too old yet not old enough to be considered an adult really was heartbreaking. Unfortunately, working in the foster care system in the US, it's very similar.
Watching the foundation of injae/dalmi in the 1st ep makes me even more pissed they didn't have a better subplot in that alone- there was so much there.
-did dalmi/injae ever find out their father business got an investor before he died?

I think I will rewatch episodes 2-8 (?), they really standout from the rest . Plus I'm pretty sure I missed a lot as well.

that's not why many don't like him though. Most recognize he is shy, awkward etc..i mean how low can one self…
Exactly, people always empathize with those less fortunate. People kept saying HJP was successful and wealthy completely forgetting he was an orphan with no friends and remained even moreso at the end. Yes Dosan had lower self esteem than the other 2 but i think the guilt of what he was doing was the driving force. Plus him knowing someone like HJP was the real person behind the letters probably made it worse since he was falling for dalmi. Yes, at the end he was confident and got everything he wanted that's for sure.

well he had it easy with dalmi though considering she came at him with heart eyes and love in hand. that's what i'm saying, he had to have some level of self esteem to take such chances in not working for years to dedicate himself to his own business/ideas not knowing what the outcome will be. Majority of people would never especially those who do not have confidence in themselves. Yes, I recognized he had his hardships but for me it was hard to empathized when compared to the others.

umm...as this is an open space people can choose to do as they please. i chose to respond, you could have chosen to mind your business and take your own advice, but obviously you do not practice what you preach.

that's not why many don't like him though. Most recognize he is shy, awkward etc..i mean how low can one self esteem be to decide not get a proper job for 2/3 yrs so they can dedicate themselves to their startup? some level of self esteem had to be there...maybe when it comes to women he was not that confident. Compared to the other characters dosan was the most privileged so he may have had his hardship but compared to dalmi/jipyeong and even one of his best friends, he was very fortunate.

Thank you! Yes I noticed a lot of people kept saying the low reviews were because of the ships and love triangle,…
this is why KSH is being attacked unfortunately bc he is getting most if not all the attention for start up. I hope he chooses a solid project next and work with a older actress not ones that has fanatical fans but those who actually appreciate great acting

Yeah, it was nice discussing the show with you as well. And yeah, I will respect your opinion, as in any Kdrama,…
sorry to interject but though sls was strong in reply 1988, everything was justifiable and romance/love triangle wasn't at the core of the series.

this was such a well written thought out review (I wish I could express myself so well lol). I love you didn't just focus on the love triangle aspect but the series as whole. I can't believe someone said it was bias with no depth-huh? lol ..anyways, great job.
