I will never understand why they never got past the stage of calling each other by their family names.
I felt the same for the longest time about Japanese series in general, but I finally managed to accept that there does not seem to be a natural shift from calling someone by family name to calling them by personal name when you get closer as there is in a lot of other countries. Sometimes the characters change how they call each other, but sometimes they don't (especially when they are also in another relationship other than only a romantic one, like a work relationship). I does not seem to reflect the level of intimacy, though I personally would not like it.
Omg 😳 I’m so disappointed… I didn’t expect much but this is quite bad. Slow, poor acting, bad script,…
Same here. I was ready to drop this after only the first episode. But those plastic teeth coming out in the last scene was so funny, that I will at least give it another episode to convince me. ^^
Boring ass lead couple. Story that kept going downhill. 6.5 at best tbh and even that only because of Pavel and…
I agree with the points you mentioned. I gave it a 4.5, there was simply too much that bothered me. I am glad it's finally over. Pavel and Nut were impressive, but between all the other bland faces it looked like overacting, so I couldn't even enjoy that.
The trailer seems interesting and I definitely wanna see this show happen. But there is one thing that bothers me a bit: why do all these guys look like they were bleached? They supposedly live on an island, where there will be plenty of sun. Shouldn't they look a bit more tanned? Add to that the fact that most Thai people have already a slightly darker skin. And they look beautiful like that! What is that strange obsession with snow white skin?
How were they able to recreate a facial structure from a face nearly totally covered with a hoodie and a mask?…
Let's be real, the crime part of the show is a bit ridiculous. I love the romance and the comedy, but them shouting theories at each other is not really any form of investigation? Guys, where is your evidence?! 😅
Just watched the teaser and such a surge of nostalgia came over me it made me kind of emo. I'm genuinely looking…
Even though Love Sick had lots of problems and the constant product placement was killing me, I loved it at the time it was airing and the title song is my mobile ring tone to this day. It was simply a milestone!
What a letdown! This started out cute and even though the premise was ridiculous and the acting sometimes only mediocre, it seemed like a promising concept. But then it turned into a promotion for these idols. Obviously that's what it was from the start, but at some point it became so painfully obvious that I didn't see the characters anymore. And then they crammed too many characters and plotlines into this short eight episode show à 15 minutes each, because all the band members had to be represented. If they wanted to go with this much storyline, they would have to double the runtime. So, at the end everything felt rushed and consequently shallow. What a waste of good looking people and a cute idea! The music was nice though.
After reading a review and some of the comments, this drama does not seem to be what I was hoping it would be after reading the synopsis. I am on the fence about watching. I need some help deciding. Is this show as sexy and erotically charged as the poster does make it out to be?
I have to say, I am a bit disappointed. It's visually pleasing, but there is too much exposition in my opinion. The world-building is too complex for the runtime of this movie, or at least it feels this way, so there is always someone explaining stuff or a voice over giving exposition. In some scenes they manage to convey information naturally through conversation. Not sure why they didn't try this more often. Also, apart from the two main characters I couldn't connect to anyone. Why should I care that a side character is about to die, if that person barely had two lines in the whole movie and I am not even sure what their name is. Maybe people who know the source material or have seen the anime would have a better time watching this, but going blind into this everything seemed too convoluted. It's pretty though, I give it that.
The synopsis sounded like this show would be right up my alley and I really liked the actors in other dramas I have seen, so I was looking forward to this and especially waited for it to finish airing so I could binge it. But from episode 1 I was disappointed and I had to force myself to keep watching until episode 15. I am so annoyed right now that I came to check the comments if this gets any better, but it seems that it will get worse instead. I don't see why I should torture myself anymore, so I will drop this. Great premise, but abysmal execution. 6,5/10
The plot is about as deep as my noodle bowl but goddamit is everyone adorable. I just wanna pat everyone on the…
Before starting to watch it, I was screening the comments to find out if the drama really is as shallow as the summary makes it appear, and this basically answers my question. 😅
OMG! How is everyone so freaking honest with themselves and others this episode?! Kawi and Pisaeng of course, but also Pear - first about her mother, then with Pisaeng, then with Nott - and even Kwan (who confronts Nott) and Nott (who acknowledges what he wants). This show reads like a guidebook for a life without regrets: be honest about what you feel and want, not only to yourself but also to others.
Wow! This was cheezy, even for normal lakorn standards. I was laughing out loud several times because it was simply so ridiculous. And it's supposed to be sad and serious, but it just seemed silly to me. It got better at the end of the first episode, but the beginning was just badly told. This could have been done so much better. Maybe my expectations were a bit too high because it seemed like such a great story idea, but for me this was a bit of a letdown. I hope the next episodes get better.
I saw a snipped of this on YouTube and wanted to check out what else the ML did recently, so I came here. To my surprise I have marked this drama as completed and supposedly have watched this whole thing two years ago. The fact that I don't remember a single thing about it tells you how forgettable the plot is. 😓
OMG!! This just turned from being badly acted and boring to utter trash! If this doesn't improve next episode, I will drop this shit. Such a waste of Pepper who seems to be an acceptable actor to be in this dumpster fire of a show...
This weeks episodes were as wonderful as every week. Mata and Penneung just make me happy, so nothing new there. But Trai and Paeng stepped up their game. I am surprisingly invested in their story. Paeng is already wipped, even though she does not want to be. For Trai everything is a game but he will fall eventually. What Paeng said in the car on their drive feels like foreshadowing: playing around now will become a burden when you find the right person in the future. I anticipate that she will dump him when she finds out everything and then he will realize that he actually wants her. And suffer trying to win her back. I can't wait!
