This is straight up getting gothic up in here. Jeremy's YinFan has turned into the obsessive, romantic, gothic ML. Secretive and not very forth-giving over what happened to Chong 1, leaving Chong 2 to figure out things herself. He is also spoiling her with treats, close contact moments (disguised as teaching) and, protecting her while also secluding her the peak.
There are moments I think the vocal actress have kept from Chong 1 to carry over to Chong 2. Every time she says 'Master', it makes me realize that she is probably saying it to sound like Chong 1 - and YinFan is in some kind of secret ecstasy every time he hears it. (Though it drives me up a wall.)
I still hate the counselor. Instigating things left and right. If there weren't any demons knowing about her, or Mr. Yu causing issues, I think she'd be fine in the immortal sect. But def. not under the leadership of that counselor. I don't like Si Ma Miao Yuan and her constant hatred of Chong 1 & 2.
With this story, I think a lot of people are grasping that you're not getting a complete gem of a guy. You're getting a dude who is borderline obsessed with the one thing that made him feel like a human in years and he is doing whatever possible to keep feeling that high. Guy went and offered blood to the higher powers to get her to be reincarnated. Obsessed. Absolutely obsessed.
I'm waiting to see Chong Zi's slide into darkness so they can balance one another out. Her pure kindness ain't gonna last against him for long.
If Orchid and DFQC come back, oh goodness, I am ready to see a married couple further down the line living their high life as rulers of the Moon Kingdom.
I noticed that too! As soon as she started saying 'Master' I was like, ooop, Dedra ain't gonna like this. lol
I had hoped it wasn't, but they BOTH say it the same way. Guess it's an inherited trait from the other Chong that they had the voice actress keep to make it feel like he is with his Chong 1. But still, drives me up a wall too.

I'm ready for him to say, "Here Chong, stand like this. Now, say 'Master, you are good to me, I only want to be with youuu.' Pull on my sleeve while you do it, yes. Like that."
I’m gonna catch some shit for this but I’m feeling zero luv for the ML. I’ve never seen anything this dude…
It's the screenplay. His character is not like other dramas (or those I watched) where the character has either good intentions or bad given his place / status. You have a character who is supposed to be a godly, pure immortal but he is not quite that and while he isn't evil in plain terms, he is 100% giving into temptation and having lusts and desires that rival that of a human male.
I loved these new episodes. I love how we are seeing the dark, obsessiveness of Yin Fan. He is obsessed with her that he will do anything to make her his again. It reminds me of those dark gothic stories of the man who is obsessed with his dead wife or dead girlfriend and will do anything to bring her back again, even if she is not fully herself. Even her walking into the room and seeing Chong Zi's old things, very spooky, Rebecca in its finest.
But man oh man, I want that old man counselor to croak his last breath. He just annoys me and suspects anything.
