If this wasn't a romance I'd enjoy it more. Or if Allen was the villain I'd enjoy it more. Like. Honest to god, he is damn good at being evil but his fanbase wants him to be a romantic lead.
Okay, all caught up. Honestly. Jeremy is giving us a nice role to bow out to for a while. His kindness, patience and caring has been fun.
Allen is doing really good with this type of role and it's a shame he is always seeming to play a straight laced romantic lead. He needs roles like this more. As of right now, I just can't see him romancing her after he is constantly treating her like shit and tried killing her several times. His character treats her life like it's a sadistic game. They really, really have to sell the romance in the script for me to believe she chooses him over Pei Yan.
Finishing up Episode 4. It's moving slow but it's good. Probably one of the better Allen shows for me.
I like roles that Jeremy does like this where he is commanding, sharp-eyed, determined and sensitive at times. It makes me want to see him do a thriller or an adventure film.
In terms of the plot - I really don't see Allen's character being with her. He has tried offing her several times and fucked around with her life. Right now the only thing red-flag Jeremy's character has done has used her as bait.
Anyway. We have a Jeremy discord if you haven't already joined come and talk about the show with us! https://discord.gg/PPegDkbY
Was on vacation while this was airing. I like their slow burn. Only just finished episode two and he is just trying so hard to keep himself from her knowing.
I never started it, wanted to binge... but the first good looking vampire story and it gets absolutely shitfucked in the last episode? (Some of these comments say before then!) What?! Why did I even think we would walk away triumphant.
I guess it was a small win, but I hope it showed there is a need for some creative dipping into other non Chinese creatures. Hope we get Frankenstein next or something.
I like the idea of this. So does that mean the characters in this will become self aware of their paths and fates and try to change it? Do they just keep repeating things over and over and they are aware?
