The story is so simple yet touches the heart
I am glad dong il, sooyoung and ji chang wook chose this script . No one can play the role of tae shik better than dong il . I am glad to see soo young doing a main role . As for chang wook , he embraced the role of gyeo re very well .
If there is someone who is still considering rather u should watch it or not - give it a try ;) it’s good 😊 ( some might find it boring but sometimes u want something hopeful and warming , humane , right ? that’s when u should watch it )

some may complain allen doesn't do many kiss and skinship scenes but i still support the actor and watch his dramas from time to time cause an actor who doesnt do many kiss and skinship scenes but can REALLY act is wayyyy better than a noob actor who does plenty kiss scenes yet acts stiff and robotish. it's his personal preference and i respect that . sometimes a small gesture can portray more feelings than a kiss . these days there r many actors in the chinese industry but those who can really act are not too many
thats why i dont expect any kiss scene from the drama but hope to witness another great performance from allen in this drama as well :)

mayb because our beloved summer was more of a melo type (?) drama and u prefer this type of drama which has a touch of comedy in it . this seems a lil bit more light hearted ( in terms of comedy and the flow of the story ) than obs

i once read somewhere and now while watching the drama i just remembered it -
if given the opportunity to choose ONLY one between the girl and the world , the hero will choose his responsibility ( aka the world ) over the girl ( he will sacrifice his love for the betterment of the world ) BUT the villain will always choose his girl . he doesnt care about the world as long as his girl is safe and sound
dongfeng qingcang and chang heng r literally like that . dfqc will always choose his girl ( aka orchid ) and chang heng will hesitate due to his responsibility .
i guess this is why many of us ( yes , that includes me too ) love dfqc and didn't suffer from sml syndrome that much .
but will orchid choose the world or dongfeng qingcang , that's i am curious about ( since i am watching the early episodes of the drama i cant guess her choice )

it's the same question as who will win between iron man and captain america or scarlet witch and dr.strange . unless any of them tries to win by cheating i guess we will never know until they actually fight

it's not that cdramas r getting better . in my opinion they r a hit or a miss or a meh ( drama that's ok but not that great ) . many highly produced dramas flop while many unexpected projects rock . every year there is atleast one drama that slays all . thankfully this year we have received many great dramas with good production , story , acting etc ( such as who rules the world , love like the galaxy , love between fair and devil etc )
ps : the names i picked r based on what recent dramas blew off the popularity charts . though i loved all 3 of them i know there r many others and these r just 3 of them

while dongfeng qingcong is undoubted the strongest male lead of all the storied the novel writer has created , the other 2 r also strong and great as well - the god of war ( aka sansheng's husband ) and the last dragon ( aka siming's husband )
though none of them r as awesome as dongfeng qingcong in my opinion . the god of war is a person who abides by the rules and everyone's scared of him as he is very very strict . the last dragon is a lil bit soft compared to the other two but he is also a survivor ( he had to fight for both love and his life )

if so they might be Sansheng, Wangchuan Wu Shang and heart protection . while rumors have it - heart protection is having a drama adaptation i am not if the other one is gonna be Sansheng, Wangchuan Wu Shang ( the story of sansheng and the god of war ) or siming ( the story of siming aka lord arbiter and the last dragon )
whichever gets a drama adaptation i am happy with it cause this writer wrote some of the best romance / wuxia and xianxia novels in my opinion ( some of them has already been adapted . like the blue whisper , the legends etc ) :D

is it airing this september ? cause the only trailer i got was 10 months ago and till now there is not even a single teaser of it :(
this thing about cdramas really makes me sad fake news and rumors about airing dates . also pending dramas . many dramas wrap shooting long while ago yet it takes a lonnnng time to get airing license

i am so excited . i really wanted to see these two work together ( very random pairing ig but i wanted these two together ) ofcourse i will be watching for them but hope the story and direction , editing is good too ( i think all will agree - even a drama of the most beloved actor can be a torture if the story , editing or the direction is not done properly )

i have started this today . i kept delaying watching it cause i thought it would never be as good as the og novel . also as a novel reader i was kinda disappointed they almost changed everything - it's like they kept the shell but the core of the story ( of the novel ) was changed completely
so i kept wondering should i watch it or not and due to the popularity it got i thought - let's give it a try ( i can just treat it like it's a completely different story ) AND THANK GOD , i gave it a try . i am loving it soooooooooooo much . especially the CGI ,SFX , BGM , the costumes etc

the most coincidental thing is - when i read the novel i kept visualizing esther as orchid ( i dont think any other actress can pull off acting this cute and not make me cringe ) and i was kinda surprised and happy when i saw she was cast as orchid :D she didnt disappoint me at all . another surprise was dylan . dongfeng qingcong is such a complex character i couldnt visualize any known actor as him so i was not that sure about dylan playing him but GOSH he acted sooooooooooooo GOOOOOD . I am wowed

u can try - love like a galaxy , ancient love poetry , the blue whisper :) though there might not be much similarity among the dramas but all of them r good dramas - got good reviews and popularity

hope someone can sub the 2 special episodes . they r not available in my country so i cant watch them with or without subs . i cant find them anywhere else as well :(

another rom-com ??? from what i have seen he has never done a rom-com rather romantic melodrama / romance-drama .
