I just watched one titled the Soothsayer and honestly, it rivals some of the regular lenght dramas with bigger budgets. Meng Na was the lead. It was so so good and quite different from the regular storyline. I also watched another in which Meng Na was also lead... Here she actressed as an underworld queen that had to go to the mortal realm blah blah. Have you guys seen any of them?
Thanks so much, Amarina. Understanding the uncut parts definitely make it so much better. It was such a good drama and honestly, they should have left those scenes they cut. But that is not even the most infuriating part. I really dont get why they had to insert the crown prince's love story line in the end. It really was of no concern that the crown prince and her friend fell in love. They wasted what should have been good ending time on that second love story. Whyyyy? Just why... haha.

I agree with most of what you said. Yes, EAW is precious and its sad to see it get slandered. Concerning PEB's role, yes, it's difficult. We all face difficult jobs and all . But the difficulties me or you face shouldn't negate hers. If she said the role was burdensome and would not like to go back for another season, there should be nothing wrong with that.
Meanwhile, people's attention is fickle. Who is to say they'll love the second season? Who is to say all things they find charming about this drama the first season won't be what they find annoying in the second season? I saw people complaining about her continuous whale moments, boring cases, even the romance (some said it's too much). Why not treasure this drama and look back on it with fond memories than risk it being ruined by a subpar second season?
