Both of these statements dismiss negative comments as just hate. Which is why I commented what I did, that's why I brought up acknowledgment of the possibility of negative opinions that aren't blind hate.
The opposite form of this would be to say "I can't believe this show has fans, that's just bad taste" or "People consume media without thinking and seem to only like shallow substance-less media, without ever thinking to evaluate why a show might not be as good as they think"

Both scenarios completely disregard the opposition through generalizations before they've even had a chance to state their unique opinion.

I concur, I know you're posting your opinion, I just disagree with your statements.

Honestly that'd be incredibly hard. Script writing and novels are two very different forms of writing. You might be able to find some really good fanfictions in the future, but not likely to get that kind of work from the writer.

Honestly, the big pay off for this drama for me is being able to talk about it. If there wasn't such an active community of opinions ranging from 'this is utter garbage' to 'how can anyone call such perfection garbage?' I would have dropped at ep 2. But being able to express both enjoyment and discontentment actually makes a show much more worth watching. If no one acknowledges that you can dislike and it still be a 100% valid opinion, it tends to hurt and cause bitterness to a show because you have no way to vent those frustrations.

I tend to dislike a lot of popular things, and it really hurts hearing people say things like 'if you dont like dont watch' or 'youre just hating' because I'm actually trying to contribute to conversation and improvement of future dramas. Statements like that invalidate one's personal opinion. Although they aren't likely to throw someone into depression, continued exposure could contribute to self esteem issues. Also dismissing negative opinions will probably lead to future projects causing a similar lvl of dissatifaction.

Something I've noticed in this thread is that those expressing negative opinions are more likely to be willing to hear and discuss positive opinions of the show, whereas there are so many people who like the show refusing conversation by saying those who are just gonna post negative comments shouldn't be commenting.
Opinions don't have to be all good or all bad, more often than not, even if we don't admit it, we harbor both positive and negative feelings for something.

That's plausible, but that honestly makes it more confusing rather than satisfying because the story doesn't take place in his head alone, we get the police officer's perspective, and the goshiwon residents as well. Implying that we are getting a third person telling rather than a first person.
If we knew more about whose lens we were seeing it through we could better understand whether or not the narrator has a reason to make JW out to be more than he is, sort of like the great gatsby.

One of the things that irks me most is how most articles can't name the perpetrators but drop PSH's name every paragraph.
I tend to get really salty when I read cases like this. If it's an actual assault I'm normally just in the realm of condolences to the victim, unless it's proven but people are dismissing it as 'gold digging' or 'clout chasing' then I get just as tilted...

Another thing, still fresh wounds from the AJH x KHS case cause she reminds me of someone I know. AJH received hate for months from slander and when it was revealed he wasn't in the wrong, people jumped to KHS's defense saying she was depressed and they hope she gets well.
I think people should be treated with dignity, but allowing a pathological liar to excuse their bad behavior after they tried to ruin someone's life (AND ADMITTED TO SUCH)will not rehabilitate that person, it will only continue to hurt.

A. I never denied that real victims exist. For example: I was abused at a young age and partially held accountable for what happened.

B. What exactly do you consider proof? There are witness statements, receipt of alcohol purchased, Conversations had by Trainee A about the situation which confirm she was conscious despite saying she blacked out, that she used this for a payout, that she was aware Person B drank as well despite claiming the other two persons involved forced her to drink the alcohol completely by herself, and that her friend also encouraged her to aim for more money.

C. Park Shi Hoo is not portraying her as anything. The evidence provided was brought forward by the investigators, the case presented was done by the prosecutors and defense lawyers. Park Shi Hoo merely maintaned his innocence about the situation saying he thought it was consensual. (which it was since she planned it).

A claimed that neither of the two with her drank alcohol, but in the original korean texts from the day after she says "오빠도 어제 그렇게 마실줄은몰랐다(sic)"
Which means "I didn't know Oppa was going to drink that much yesterday too"

She also goes on to discuss later plans to go drinking. If you want I would be more than happy to translate and summarize more. Something I've noticed is the Korean sentiment is very different from the foreign sentiment.

The evidence presented and contrary testimony from the perpetrator (blackmail and defamation) supports that she was fully aware and had planned the crime. Her text messages before and after suggest that her statement was bogus, that she consented but lied for a payout.

If fake victims like this are defended to no end, it won't get any better for those of us who actually were sexually assaulted. Someone does not deserve to be destroyed for a crime they didn't commit. It's innocent until proven guilty and he was literally proven innocent. This kind of crime is becoming increasingly popular because cases like these tend to garner immediate support from netizens, and once they are proven false offer little to no backlash for the perpetrator. I'd be more than happy to dig up the Korean articles and texts.

As a victim of sexual assault this sentiment terrifies me.
It was revealed that she and her friend planned to extort as much money out of PSH as possible. Multiple witnesses stated she did not seem drunk leaving and descending the stairs, she was carried by the men into the house and she stated that she blacked out due to alcohol consumption (of which she claimed none was consumed by the other two parties involved) and woke up to being sexually assaulted, but it was revealed in texts that she was conscious and remembered what was going on.

He was under the impression that it was fully consensual, because IT WAS. Based on her texts she only reported him for rape with monetary gain in mind.

Screaming for the victims of blackmail and false allegations to be shunned and denounced does not make the world safer for actual victims, it makes the world more dangerous for those who would be falsely accused for fame or money.

Men should be granted the same right of innocent until proven guilty as liars like this receive. They also shouldn't continue to receive such blind hate after years for a crime they did not commit.
The fact that she is still receiving such protection while the actual victim of this case is cyber bullied is disgusting, and based on recent events (AJH X KHS divorce) this issue is nowhere close to being dealt with.

He's still getting gigs because it came out that she was just black mailing him for money, and was still light heartedly joking about their actions the next day, fully aware of what had happened (not blacked out as previously stated) and gullible enough to think a hangover might be pregnancy.
The real crime in this is blackmail, defamation, and the fact that her name was protected at all costs whereas his was completely dragged through the mud despite being innocent.

I haven't heard of this in the 7 years I've been watching korean shows and movies, but I suddenly saw all these nasty comments saying people considering watching the drama should look into PSH.
Was kinda shocked cause he's a solid (not great, but solid) actor. Didn't take me more than 10 minutes to find the texts in both Korean and English. It's amazing how people can hold a grudge for so long but not have the attention span to make sure they are correct.

That sounds a thousand times better! but seriously Shin Jae has no nose arch, whereas Lee min ho is considered attractive for his well defined (almost western like) features. Shin Jae's face is too flat to be under that mask.
I would be incredibly happy to be wrong.

I also noticed the dismissal of Shin Jae on my second watch (Showing my sister only the scenes she'd like), and that's a great point about the gun skills! Also Shin Jae was evenly matched against Jo Yeong, which means he's definitely a more skilled fighter than Yi Gon.

Not too long ago I posted that I'd be disappointed if Shin Jae wasn't the one who originally saved Lee gon... Well I'm incredibly disappointed cause after rewatching episode 6 I can confidently say they went the easiest route in time travel dramas and had him save himself.

of the existing cast Lee Min Ho is the only one who looked remotely close, and they wouldn't introduce a new character this late in the game.

Heck yes! I was shocked when I saw another one over psychopath diary so soon. I'm used to following actors who don't act as often.

I'm sure there are plenty with similar premises that aren't supernatural. You're just in the wrong genre. Not sure your preferences but I'd recommend "The Innocent Man" with Song Joong Ki, or "You're all Surrounded" with Lee Seung Gi and Cha Seung Woo. Though the second rec is a mix of drama and comedy, and the given description doesn't portray the core of the story well. I'll try my best to give a worthy description.
