Good that there wasn't any unwanted character. It's multiple times implied that sunjae was basically invisible…
Because that's my opinion, just like it's your opinion that the story didn't require a SFL. You assume the story would be worse off if there was a SFL with feelings for the ML. Why is that? What if the story had a kind, caring and supportive SFL with an important role? Maybe eventually, the SML and SFL became lovers. They could've all had their happy endings. I know there are dramas with SFL's and no SML's. But that's really rare. And I'm not saying this drama needed a SFL because it's rare. I just believe a caring SFL with feelings for the ML would've added something extra and more realistic. It's not about what i want vs what the story wants. The story can have all kinds of things to attract viewers, but that doesn't make it perfect.

I never said anything about the SML not being needed or not having any importance in the story. In fact, it's you who immediately concluded that a SFL with feelings for the ML would be unimportant. Why would she be irrelevant? Why can't she have a role of importance like the SML? Why do you assume a SFL isn't good enough or as important as the SML? The ML having multiple female characters going head over heels in the background isn't the same as a SML pursuing the FL. Don't even try to compare them. I'm not referring to the SFL that was her friend. That's not the same. It has to be a SFL with feelings for the ML. Why are you bringing in other characters with no feelings for the ML? Yes, there needs to be balance. If she has multiple male characters pursuing her, then he needs multiple female characters pursuing him. Fair is fair. It doesn't make sense that the most attractive character in the show doesn't have a female character consistently pursuing him. It's not that i hate it. I understand why the majority of dramas are like this. Because the majority of viewers are female. Therefore, they prefer a ML with only a single female character around him. It makes him more attractive and desirable to the audience. It doesn't matter who he rejects or how many times he rejects them. That doesn't stop a female character from developing feelings for him. Just like the FL rejects the SML. That didn't stop him from having feelings for her. I don't understand why you think a SFL with feelings for the ML is so horrible. Why can't she be of help to the ML just like the SML helps the FL in her time of need? Why does the ML only have the FL to rely on while the FL can fall back on the SML when she needs a shoulder to cry on? In this drama the ML could've used a caring, supportive SFL to comfort him and heal him. But no, that's prohibited. How dare another female character other than the FL show any interest in the ML.

It doesn't matter if he didn't entertain any girls. It doesn't stop female characters developing feelings for him. In fact, the reason the SML started liking the FL was because of her lack of interest in him when she first went to the past. When the FL liked the SML, he wasn't interested. It was only after she changed personality. So that makes your argument invalid because he started liking her when she didn't show any interest in him. It's not just this drama. Most dramas have the SML pursuing the FL without any SFL characters. It has nothing to do with the ML's devotion to the FL. Because often the FL is also devoted to the ML but she always has a SML pursuing her.

What do you mean by unwanted character? Why is a SFL unwanted but a SML is wanted and perfectly fine? "Invisible"😂 With his looks. I don't care what era he's from. He can even be from Joseon and still be attractive and popular. The point is the drama showed a FL with multiple male characters pursuing her, but for some reason the ML is prohibited from having any female characters around him except the FL. I wonder why🤔

I understand the high rating. It was awesome. I loved it all. The romance, chemistry, story, characters, the time travel, the ending, and it held my interest in every episode. The only thing i would've liked would be a SFL with feelings for the ML throughout the drama just like they had with the SML. Not the typical bitchy one, but a character equivalent to the SML. It would've made it more realistic, because i find it hard to believe there weren't any female characters interested in him. I know there was that one lady, but she only lasted like 10 minutes of one episode. Why is the ML the only one suffering from jealousy? I have one question I'll put under a spoiler.

Why such a low rating? I guarantee if the movie was called The Second Man with two handsome men pursuing one female character, then it would be rated at least an 8.0.

In fact, it's you who's childish, condescending, and disrespectful with a poor attitude. You're the one who got triggered and defensive when i kindly explained to you, by definition, what a love triangle is. These poor members on MDL are being deceived by your lack of knowledge. If you discover you've been incorrect on the definition of a love triangle, and someone like me kindly informs you otherwise, then kindly thank them for correcting your mistake instead of crying about it. Don't be a sore loser. Win with humility, lose with grace, and do both with dignity.

So your logic, if other people are doing it, then it must be right😂 If you see people jumping off a cliff, will you do that too? If others are ignorant, you'll join them? Let's just abandon all logic and start rewriting the dictionary. That's ok, we can change anything we want now. We can start calling dogs cats, trees will now be clouds, and stars we'll call grass. That’s all fine now because we can just say, "This is my opinion, and it’s valid whether you agree with it or not."😂 Come on, show some common sense. Even if you don't have any, pretend to have some. Saying a love triangle isn't a love triangle because it's your opinion🤪 Yeah, and in my opinion, the moon is made of cheese😂

There's no need to get triggered. I'm just educating you. And no, you can't define it however you want. Just like you can't change the dictionary. It's not just a little thing because you're misleading people. You're telling people there's no love triangles when indeed there are. Some people watch or avoid dramas because of love triangles. Therefore, that's why they ask these questions. Don't misinform people. It's a love triangle without a doubt. No opinions, no interpretations, just facts.

It's not a view or an opinion. It's the definition. You can't make up your own interpretation or definition. Just google it. You can even look it up in the advanced search on MDL when searching for shows or movies. Check the tags where it shows love triangle, read the definition. It says "the depiction of a romantic attraction or relationship involving three people." It doesn't mention but only if the the person likes both characters.

I haven't watched this yet, but i have to disagree about your meaning of this.

"He is a bit of an obstacle between the leads. But I wouldn’t call it a love triangle since the female lead only likes the male lead."

By definition, a love triangle is a situation in which two people both love a third person, regardless of whether that third person has feelings for one or both characters. In dramaland and most romcoms, the ML and FL usually only like each other while the SML and SFL have feelings for the main leads. Even though the main leads only like each other, they're still defined as love triangles. Otherwise, love triangles would rarely exist in dramas. It's defined as such so viewers understand the relationship between leads and second leads.
