However, this SFL has to have feelings for the ML and be persistent in pursuing him just like the SML usually does. She can't be just a friend of the ML helping him with no feelings. Then, we have to consider the situation and long-term life goals. In life, who will be with you forever? Usually, it's your partner. You have kids, your own family, and live life together, relying on each other. In the process, you usually lose some contact with friends along the way. It's normal because you're focusing on your family, and you don't have as much time as you used to, to go hanging out with your friends. So i could argue the FL is doing what comes naturally by putting all her efforts into finding her potential life partner and establishing a family for her future. Absolutely, but then why are SML's and SFL's portrayed completely different? Why do SML's have traits such as kind, caring, protecting, and courageous, while SFL's are the opposite? Why do FL's get to enjoy the company of multiple male characters while the poor ML gets crucified if he hangs around any female character except the FL? Why are ML's labelled as toxic and red flags for merely hanging around a SFL while at the same time FL's can freely enjoy the company of many men without being criticised, in fact, it's encouraged.
