I felt like their previous kissing and sex scene was better than this. what happened lol.
The two mains are both naked (if I remember you get a butt shot and lots of other skin) and sex is shown with nothing left to the imagination. It's adult, R-rated for sure... and in all honesty wasn't really necessary. I watched it on YT, so I guess I must have seen it before it got taken down.
Top-notch production, starting with a strong script with so many memorable characters, solid acting across the boards, handled many complex themes with great care. It was really difficult to watch. It pushed a lot of buttons and that's just what it was meant to do, and I am grateful for it. Yes, the ending is ambiguous, although I think there are many indications as to exactly what happens and exactly what each of them are thinking/feeling and just how f-ed up the whole relationship was from the beginning, but everyone can draw their own conclusions. Watch this, but be ready for some misery and suffering.
A beautiful short series/film. Edward Chen does another amazing job, as does Xu Tao (so cute, such expressive eyes). Very similar to Your Name Engraved... which is odd, since Edward is in that one too. A bit more serious in its treatment of homophobia and bullying, but handled expertly. I got confused for a bit. Didn't know who the little Sailor Moon boy was, or how he fit into the story. Wasn't until the end that I realized he was in the same class. Probably just missed his intro. They could have given us one more kiss at the end... come on, they'e been waiting 17 years. Charming and I will watch again, although I might stop at Ep 6 or 7 before it gets painful. Even the little hope at the end still stings a bit for the lifetime of pain that preceded it.
I was going to wait til I finished the season, but I just can't. Ahhh. This was perfection. So cute. Already watched it twice. Nothing original at all, but very well done, great acting from everyone, down to the very minor roles. Mom, best girl friend, especially. Strong writing. Every gay man's fantasy admission of love, screaming it from the top of his lungs from the bridge. The turn comes quickly, but with 6 eps that's to be expected. Will be interesting to see S2.
Another messy episode. More men in speedos singing karaoke. As if the last episode wasn't enough. The soft core porn scene had some of the worst open mouth, tongue flailing, licking your face kissing I've ever seen. It wasn't romantic or tender and it certainly wasn't sexy or hot. And I'm really happy to see both boys naked, but try to give it some meaning. Dubbing was worse than usual, poor actors stand around helplessly as the camera wobbles all over the place, on their hands when it should be on their faces and vice versa. A birthday, a wedding, a murder, a funeral. They tried to pack everything in except logic. If they trick us and keep extending it, I'll drop it. Sorry guys. Wish you the best, but the bar is quite high for Covid-era BL. Better luck next time.
Beautiful, touching, perfectly acted. Feels like some important moments were left out (some of which can be glimpsed in the end credits, though not in the film). Found the timeline/editing a little confusing and unnecessary. This was more moody and atmospheric than in depth. Story is very familiar but well done. Ending was sad and hopeful at the same time. I’ll watch parts of this again for the beauty of these two boys being tender but probably won’t watch the whole thing because it’s sad and painful.
honestly I get where you're coming from but I honestly think this is a very problematic comment. I get it's your…
I have been told that other people were cuter than me and it did not scar me in the least. I did not say the other guy was ugly. I just said this one was cuter. There was nothing negative or hurtful or toxic in my post at all. But thanks for being so quick to judge.
That was lovely. Perfect movie from start to finish. Yes, the mob rivalry is taken from every mobster story, the adoptive father figure, the “femme” fatale are all tropes in the genre, but it’s done well here and with the bonus of an adorable romance that you just want to succeed from the very first glance. Wild Dog looks so wide eyed and innocent and Flying Dagger is so expertly tortured you root for them both. They seem so puppy dog in first love cute and comfortable together. It’s how you want to be and feel with your BL boyfriend. The kisses were pretty good. The skinship was steamy but still tasteful and well shot. Sis was a great addition. I loved it and would watch it over and over and over again.
I tried... thrice. Felt too fake. I’m all for supernatural stories but this just tried too hard and i didn’t like the characters so I won’t be coming back for S2. All the boys are hot as hell and that butt shot. Wow. But not enough to sustain me.
The first 45 mins were bliss. Loved the serious tone. So moody and atmospheric. Loved exploring the connection between donor and recipient. Not sure I needed the mystery but excited for the complications it will bring. But then it turned into a sitcom with the enemies to lovers trope in the last scene. Felt like a whole different show and one that I’m less interested in. Will hope the potential will be reached. Mix is adorable and seems to have some acting chops. Fingers crossed.
It funny how people are picky with any show that has a GMM tag and just ignore how bad are most thai BL LOLThis…
GMM chooses and approves all shows, directors, writers etc. they oversee the writing and have approval of all scripts. Yes, the producer and director have a lot to do with the final result but GMM approves every decision.
Why do I torture myself? I guess it's cuz I like watching boys in speedos. And Achilles has a BODY! Dang! Although nothing wrong with Giorgio or Gabriel's either. But what a mess. Not sure where this goes from here, but it should be hysterical.
"Drunken words {actions} are sober thoughts" is the logic in most Thai BLsIn Thailand, as well as China, Japan,…
Agree! I'd also like to see someone trip, then admit they are fine and can walk on their own and don't need someone to live in their house and hand feed them. But that'll never happen. :)
This one was a mixed bag for me. Mark is so charming, although in truth he is rather one-note. He's great at being glib, but I don't know if I believe anything he says. Ever. Still, I'd fall for him. Kit is a robot with dead eyes. Still, somehow I believe that he tolerates Mark and is won over.
I'm not sure how I feel about Wayu moving onto Thayu. I do think it's novel and realistic to show heartbreak, recovery and then moving onto your next relationship, but somehow after investing so much time into PhaWayu I felt betrayed.
I think the weird destiny/visions was strange and felt like it belonged in another series. One that focused on things like that (like UWMA). I'm sure they have explanations, but the competing destiny-lines was also a bit troublesome. Can we have two destinies?
Hated the Tong/Pok/Sandee stuff. Felt contrived and forced. And until Tong let his guard down and looked at Pok with... I'll have to say lust... I wasn't a fan. But that look in his eyes told me he has much more potential than he was allowed to show here.
Who's the new Pha. I know most of you hate him but I thought he was drop dread gorgeous.
The scripting and editing were fairly weak. I think all of the couples' storylines could have been spread out and threaded together better, so we didn't forget about the main couple for 2 episodes, or start the 3rd couples' romance until late int he season.
I don't really want to watch S2, but I do need to see the resolve of this cliffhanger, so I probably will. Will be very interesting to see who the main couple is and how the other couples play into the new story -- or will this be only tangentially attached to the Gen Y world and we'll see a whole new reboot? (Like this series plays loose with the 2Moons lore). We shall see.
