Just saw the pre release teaser on twitter. So Yuan knows he is not allowed to be in Qian’s bed anymore but he still slept near his bed. Oh my gosh! He just can’t stay away . 🥹

Seems this drama is good from reviews and rating. I have not watched it just seen spoilers and clips. I noticed something about Korean dramas. They value family and marriage so much that toxic parents and family members are given a redemption arc or a story line to somehow justify the bad behavior. And at the end somehow the bad, extremely toxic family member is forgiven by the main character. I recall a drama whereby the mother abandoned a child that was kept with her for safekeeping at an orphanage and at the end of the day everything was smoothed over. No outrage, just useless tears.

I have not watched this drama but seen clips and i ask myself how can a man be emasculated and be so afraid of his wife and family members and at the end of this drama the whole family will live happily ever after.

Perhaps i just prefer thrillers/romances with plots like twinkling watermelon, a time called you and perfect stranger. All these sappy romances are not for me. The Ml is super handsome though.

When will thriller kdramas like the above come back. ?I am tired of romances. I didn’t even finish watching King the Land.

I just realized. I thought they cut the fishing scene where Yuan was outside the car and staring at Qian sleeping. But that scene might come next week when they go fishing again. I hope so cos the scene was so revealing of Yuan’s love.

😩🥲 Qian can’t say his feelings out loud so the music is doing this for him. I love when dramas use music to reveal the characters thoughts. I can’t wait for episode 8.

And i love how they changed so many things in the book. In the book Yuan came back after his program was ended but here he came back because Qian sort of granted permission. I love this two so much.

Exactly. They sent him away because his world had revolved around Qian for so long. They feel he is confused and when he goes abroad and meets other people he might come to his senses and fall out of love with
Qian. Sending him abroad was the right thing cos if he comes back and still loves Qian then Qian can be sure that this is true love and not love caused by proximity.

Exactly. Sanpang knows this situation is not easy. How will outsiders who have thought Yuan is Qian’s brother feels seeing them as a couple. Also Qian has gone through hardships all his life and is always under stress and now he has to deal with his gay younger brother who is in love with him. Life would be much easier if Yuan loved someone else and that is where Sanpang is coming from.

I love your comments cos you actually understand this drama and the characters. You don’t see the world through rose colored glasses. Sanpang is part of the family. He and Qian watched Yuan grow up. He has been Qian’s little brother for so long they have even forgotten he is not blood related. How else is Sanpang and Qian supposed to react to Yuan saying he likes Qian romantically?. I love this drama but let us be realistic. If this happened in real life it would be seen as incestous even though there is no blood relation. Their reaction to the news was very realistic.

Sanpang kept saying you can’t love him because he is Wei Qian. Basically saying in summary HE IS YOUR ELDER BROTHER.

Exactly. This drama has portrayed Qian as not interested in romance with females and no attraction to males. So this would be a case of i am not gay i just love you.

Exactly! Right now he only loves Yuan as his brother. He sees him as a younger brother so right now to him Yuan’s confession is insane. Of course when Yuan comes back he might start to see him as a male not a brother but at the moment Qian doesn’t love him romantically.

This comment!! Qian and Sanpang are not homophobic. They have accepted Yuan’s sexuality. What they are finding it hard to grasp is that the one he loves is Qian and that’s because for so long he has been Qian’s little brother. Also, the issue is yet to be resolved so they can’t tell Lili the reason for the conflict.

I love the changes they made in this drama. It is proving to be a good adaptation of the novel.

I love how Taiwan bls are so comfortable with intimacy and good lip action. Korean bls will use kpop idols who give us fish kisses or no kisses.

😮 I can’t wait to see this. Qian sees him as a kid so him being flirty and more direct can help to correct that impression. But i doubt he will be happy if Qian is happy with someone else. He will probably pretend to be be happy so Qian doesn’t feel bad.
