Messy plot. Great acting from the leads
It took me 10 days to finish this short 8-episode series. That is slow for a thriller series. I gave it 5 out of 10 points mainly for the acting of our leading actors. They are both versatile actors and nailed their roles as 2 genius psychopaths who completely understand each other’s mind and thoughts, and can do anything for the other. If Park Eun Bin and Sul Kyung Gu weren’t the leads, this series would be ranging from 1 to 4 points for me at best.As for the plot, it was bad in terms of both crime thriller and medical genre. It had potential and was exciting at first, then everything started to get messy after 2 or 3 episodes. It's a mixing hot pot where all the ingredients and spices are not combined together well. Both the thriller and medical parts are very shallow and lacking. Everything felt separate and disconnected.
There are too many characters, and I found most of them unnecessary and contributing nothing to the plot. I don't understand what is the point of adding them to the plot which is already very messy and confusing without them. Except for the leads, I found almost every scene of other characters very annoying. All of them are shallow and they lack motives for their actions. The leads are crazy psychopaths so their actions are not normal and they don't need explanations, but the people around them surely do. How can everyone around the leads accept their crime actions so easily? Seriously, no one ever questions or gets scared of them for a little bit when they discover the leads have murdered other people brutally! Instead, they just accept it as if it was an obvious thing, and still follow and support them. Does that happen in real life? Maybe, if all of us were psychopaths like the leads.
The two characters that I found most annoying are the corrupt policeman and the random doctor coming back from another country to meet the female lead and 'challenge' her on a dual surgery operation on her mentor. They are very tiring to watch and they appear a lot in the second half of the series. Like a lot of other characters, I don't feel their roles are necessary. One man is a corrupt policeman, so obviously he did a lot of bad things and he also had a dark and shady vibe. But he has a lot of unnecessary and disturbing scenes. One of those are his eating scenes with very detailed close-up shots. OMG, it really pissed me off to watch those scenes. It really tortured me every time the guy was chewing his food. I don't understand why the director kept adding these scenes. They should have given more screen time to the leads or improved the messy plot instead.
As for the random doctor, who is supposed to be highly experienced and talented, but his actions are very unprofessional as a doctor. The way he talked about performing surgery makes me feel as if he never cared about his patient but only cared about how it was a 'challenge' for him. To make things worse, he even disclosed his patient's personal health information to third parties without their consent. And he did it so naturally, like how people share and discuss with others about a random story they have found on the internet. It's an illegal act as a doctor, while he was introduced as a famous talented doctor coming from a western country. This is one of the biggest flaws in this series that really annoy me. I can't let this pass, so I can't rate this series higher than average.

Love wins all
It's a great romance drama. The leads have great chemistry, and a slow burn and healthy relationship, with good communication, no unnecessary long misunderstandings, temporary breakup, or toxic love triangles. A lot of little details were handled quickly and logically. I enjoyed it so much. I laughed and giggled a lot, and sometimes got emotional as well. After a very long time, "The Prisoner of Beauty" is the second drama that I watched when it was airing, after "The Demon Hunter's Romance", also starring Song Zu Er as the female lead and it just finished airing at the end of April. Both are great dramas that I enjoyed a lot, and both have an ending that left me so empty afterwards.
Everything in this drama was great until the last few episodes. When I reached around episode 30, I got so nervous, as there was so much sweetness until then that made me so worried about what was about to happen towards the end. There were only a few episodes left while there were still a lot of hardships they had to go through. A big war was waiting for them ahead! I got so scared of how everything was wrapped up.
The ending felt so rushed to me. Yes, it's considered a happy ending but it's also heartbreaking at the same time. It's an unsatisfying happy ending. Well, at least our leads have a happy ending ever after. None of them died or got separated. However, our other beloved characters had to die instead, while the endings for the villains are too light. The war happened too fast and ended so abruptly, within only half of an episode. I wish it would last a little bit longer. There should have been at least 1 or 2 more episodes! A lot of things were left unexplained and not clearly resolved.
I grew up watching a lot of old Chinese dramas as a kid and teenager, but I haven’t watched so many new titles, partly because I was scared of their endings. I'm not sure why, maybe due to China's censorship or some cultural reasons or something, do they always have to build up the most lovely character ever just to kill them off at the end, leaving them a miserable half who misses them to death, every single time? I’ve watched quite a few dramas with similar endings. Oh my God! I can never get over Wei Liang's death. He is my only regret in the whole series. And they had to kill him off in the most tragic way, as an innocent lone guy being betrayed and stabbed to death while trying to bring some flowers back home to propose to his girl! That's the most cruel thing ever! His death is so unnecessary too. There’s no need for him to die at all. He deserves the best, and definitely deserves a happy ending with his Xiao Tao. I laughed a lot every time he appeared. His brotherly relationship with Wei Shao and 3 other Wei generals is so beautiful, and his love story with Xiao Tao is literally the cutest thing ever. Poor my girl Xiao Tiao now is left alone in this world with a promising wedding that can never happen. Why? Just why? I really don't understand. There are a lot of ways they can keep him alive. Xiao Tao gifted him a heart-protecting mirror! Why not let that mirror save his life instead? What's the point of Xiao Tao giving that to him when it was never used?
Before I started watching this drama, the fans of the original novel had confirmed that the drama would have a 'super sweet ending for all of the characters', except for the villains obviously. And now it turned out to be a bittersweet happy ending. What's going on with Chinese screenwriters?
By the way, the music in this drama is amazing. Every song suits the scene perfectly, and stirs up my emotions a lot. I especially love the theme song performed by Liu Yuning himself. His voice is beautiful. I've downloaded the OST playlist and keep listening to the songs on repeat for now.
The acting is also great. Song Zuer and Liu Yuning nailed their roles as the leads. Others also did a good job. I didn't enjoy the second male lead's performance much at first, but he did quite well in the second half. I am also very happy to see Liu Xiao Qing here as Wei Shao's grandmother. I literally grew up with her dramas. Seeing her as a gentle loving grandmother feels interesting and a little bit strange to me, as she used to play main badass and wise female leads in my memory. I used to have a nickname that was one of her roles when I was a kid. I enjoyed Ho Yun Tung's cameo role as a scholar a lot too. I also grew up with his dramas. He's a talented actor, and he used to play a lot of badass roles with great material arts skills. Seeing him as a ‘weak’ scholar is way too funny.
I really love the message of this drama about love and marriage. Romance is the focus of this drama and it's done perfectly, as I mentioned above. The leads have a genuinely healthy relationship where they both treat each other with care and respect. There are a lot of lines in this drama that have become my favorites. One of them is the last line, which basically means that both sides need to put efforts in a husband-wife relationship so that it can last. The husband gives in to his wife, while his wife’s heart also only puts on her husband. They both give in to each other for their relationship to work. This message is also implied in the original title of the drama, which I understand as 'give in', instead of 'prisoner', based on my limited knowledge.
Seriously, if only they didn't kill off my beloved Wei Liang and gave him a happy ending with Xiao Tao, "The Prisoner of Beauty" would be 10 out of 10 for me, despite its rushed ending. I absolutely love this drama but just can't let his death slide.
Overall, even though I don't like the ending very much, I have no regrets when watching this drama. It's totally worth watching. I will definitely re-watch it.

A little bit disappointing compared to season 1
On one hand, I feel like the final episode is a little bit rushed. On the other hand, I feel that it's good enough. The series is already long enough to end it. To be honest, I think this season is created to attract the audience. And the ending is also not as great as I have expected, after how they ended the season 1.Also, Heo Yun-ok turns into someone completely different from how she was in season 1. But I understand they do that to let Naksu remember who she really is.
The other thing I don't like about this season 2 is that my favorite actress Jung So-min never appears for at least one single scene!! They can just let her play the soul of Jin Bu-yeon like how they did in season 1 but no, they use the young actress instead, and that makes me so disappointed. I like Go Youn Jung, and I think she did okay in her role, but Jung So-min is really the star of the show in season 1, and she was the reason why I decided to watch the series in the first place, and I believe that was the case for many others too. I feel really unfair that the production crew keeps her out of season 2.
And maybe because Naksu is now performed by a different actress, so her aura and her charisma seems to disappear in this season.
Anyway, it's still an okay watch to me, though. I like the lovebird Park Jin and Kim Yeon, the Crowned Prince and his turtle, the character development of Seo Yul, and a few cool moments of Jang Uk.

A light and heartwarming detective series
I just need a season 2 asap! This is one of the best Japanese dramas I’ve ever watched. Souma and Kanoko are beautiful souls and they are just so sweet and adorable together! 🥹
This series reminds me of a Korean series named “My lovely liar”. Both female leads have the supernatural ability to hear lies. I think that Korean series gets the idea from the manga of this series. However, while that show is a mess, “Usotoki Rhetoric” is gold.
I love everything in this series, the heartwarming plot, the setting, the characters, the acting, the music, the cinematography. It’s such a beautiful series. Everything is just perfect for me. I enjoy every minute of it, and love every character.
It’s a light detective set in a historical period of time. The cases are not very complicated and often solved within an episode. And each is a heartwarming story. It has warmed up my heart in this cold winter.
Btw, it’s very funny to see Suzuka Ouji play a penniless chill guy in this series. I first saw him in a series about curry. In that series, he keeps following around a penniless chill guy and buying curry for him, while in this series, he’s the one who keeps eating free food from others. Isn’t it so funny? 😅

Best CDrama of 2025 so far
I think I will never get over this drama.I always love fantasy wuxia dramas, and this drama has a very logic, intelligent and consistent plot, with excellent acting from the whole cast, including the leads and all the supporting actors. Its visual effects and cinetography is great as well, for a drama that was filmed back in 2022. I also love this drama's background music and makeup style for the characters. It really gives this drama a mystic and demonic vibe, which is perfect for a demon-hunting drama.
What makes this drama even more special is that it doesn't feel unrealistic at all, despite its fantasy elements. I felt like demons really existed while I was watching this drama. I really love the visuals of the characters too. They don't look stunning at all, but it fits their characters and historical facts. I also love the action scences in this drama. All the actors have shown great martial arts skills in their action scenes. They look like human beings were running around and fighting for real against demons, not different creatures just flying in the sky, like in a lot of other wuxia period dramas.
I love all the characters in this drama, especially our leads Banxia and Xuan Ye. Our female lead Banxia is really lovely. She is smart, soft and kind-hearted, and on the other hand, she's also very playful, brave and straightforward. She's very soft towards Xuan Ye, but she never hesitate to say what's in her heart, and always stands up for herself and other people. When she realizes she's in love with Xuan Ye, she's not shy but just follows her heart and shows him she cares about him. She also has playful and adorable sides that she only shows it when she is with Xuan Ye. It's been a long while since I met this kind of female characters in a Chinese drama.
The romance between the leads is just perfect. It's slow burn and very gentle. They just slowly go into each other's heart without realizing. They are perfect for each other, and treat each other with care and respect. Xuan Ye is really a gentleman. He's always soft and protective towards Banxia, even when he doesn't realize he's in love with her. He's slower than Banxia when it comes to love, as he's a lonely man with a lot of fear and insecurity developed by a tragic trauma. He has a sad past and he would gradually let it go after he meets Banxia.
Everything about this drama is so perfect, except for the ending. If it had a different ending or a season 2, I would give it a 100 out of 10. The ending is just unacceptable and it really ruins a good story. How come they give us that kind of ending after all the sweetness they give us throughout the whole series? It doesn't make any sense. I couldn't stop crying at the last episode and couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks! And what's worse is that it's not in the original script but it's Iqiyi who interfered and changed it. OMG I'm so mad! I haven't recovered from it and I think I would never recover, unless Iqiyi gives me a season 2 and a happy ending for our Banxia and Xuan Ye! :(
I still recommend this to everyone. It’s definitely worth your time. Just skip the last 10 minutes.

One of the first tomboyish cross-dressing Asian films
I finally found and watched this classic movie! It was hilarious. Leslie Cheung was so perfect, Carina Lau was gorgeous and Anita Yuen was so cute and funny. She really looked like a handsome boy in this movie. It always feels great to go back to the 90s and experience the vibe, the life there. It was also fun to see idol culture in Hong Kong at that time through this movie. I always feel like we no longer live in the same world any more nowadays.
I guess this movie started the trend for a lot of later films where a tomboyish woman cross-dressed to disguise as a man to become an idol or to stay close to their crush, or to do whatever. Although I don’t think the story in this movie aged very well, I still enjoyed it a lot. It was Leslie Cheung! I wish he were still here with us. :(
I also love hearing Cantonese in old Hong Kong movies. They sounded so cool. Everything seemed to look cooler in the old days. I felt so nostalgic while watching this movie.

There is no plot
I didn’t enjoy the original series in the first place but still watched this extra episode out of curiosity. I wanted to know how it ended because the original series kind of led to nowhere. This episode also led to nowhere lol.The girls were still at the same page like how they were 3 years earlier. They were still desperate for romance and made rushed bad decisions because of their desperation, and then regretted their choices again. At the end of the original series, they seemed to stop chasing romance and focus on themselves. And it turned out that they didn’t change one bit. At some point, I think it’s kind of realistic, and it’s a sad thing. Human beings are complicated. One moment you think you have learnt and changed about something, then the next day you might still have the same mindset as before, but perhaps at a different level.
Although it’s a still bad one, I did liked this extra episode a little bit more than the original series, partly because I couldn’t stand the cheating plot in that series. I got mad a lot while watching people cheat and pretend like there’s nothing wrong with it in the series, and it was also mentioned in this extra episode in a few minutes.
Besides, I think I can relate to some parts in the girls’ life, as an Asian woman living in an Asian community. You get a lot of pressure about a certain age for marriage, and 30s are kind of the deadline for us. Everyone seems to be obsessed about finding ‘the one’, as they think being an old single lady would be one of most miserable and lonely things in the world. That’s a mindset set up by men for sure. Anyway, in Asian society, people put a lot of pressure on unmarried or childless women. I get where the girls are from so I understand why they are so obsessed with romance and marriage like that. I feel bad for them. A lot of women around me are married because they are forced into it when they reach a certain age and also live in misery.
Another thing I relate to in this extra episode is that 30s also seems to be a deadline in career and life in my culture. A lot of people assume that people in their 30s must achieve a certain level of success or have something in their hands to be worthy.
There’s one more thing portrayed in this extra episode that I think it might only true for Asian married couples. In our society, marriage isn’t just about 2 people, but it’s also about becoming family with their parents and even their extended family. Annoying in-laws like Kaori’s mother-in-law are very common and they can destroy one’s marriage for real. The lesson number one is always to stay away from ‘mama’s boy’.
For those reasons above, I understand one of the reasons why the girls are so problematic and messed up at making rushed bad decisions, as they also live in a society with a lot of problematic and unfair society for women. However, I don’t sympathize with their decisions because of that. The plot is still a messy hot pot that led to nowhere. And I’m actually mad that Key-kun still toyed with Rinko’s heart and didn’t give her any direct commitment so that she can feel safe in their relationship and stop chasing around other men so desperately. He didn’t even encourage or make her more confident about herself for one minute. Instead, he always blamed her and made her feel so small even though she did nothing wrong. He’s the worst type of man to date. I don’t like imagining Rinko end up with a jerk like Key. Rinko might be a little bit problematic, insecure with low self esteem. But she deserves more than that. In fact, I think he should have chosen Hayasaka-san in the original series. He was the best for her.
I think no one would read this review, but if you did, I would really appreciate it. By the way, I adore all the cast, except for Kentaro Sakaguchi and Kei Tanaka, obviously, after learning what they did.

This is not a romance drama. It’s a story about how a super businessman rules the world.
This drama was really funny in the first half, but went down in the second half. I enjoyed its early episodes, but didn't enjoy it later on, maybe starting from episode 18.First of all, this show definitely shouldn't be labeled as romance, as the romance parts don't even account for one third of the plot, and the leads have no chemistry at all. Just pick any random second, third or fourth female lead, she would have more chemistry with the male lead than the female lead.
Second, the male lead's plot armor is too strong and illogical. Ning Yi is too smart and perfect at anything he does. He never fails at any of his strategies. He invents and makes everything by himself, even a gun! It's not something a normal modern person can make easily. Otherwise, the world would be in chaos. Ning Yi just cannot die or even get injured for just a little bit under any circumstances, thanks to his 'smart brain' as everyone said. Anyone would believe Ning Yi after hearing a few words from him. Well, I don't think historical people in real life would be so stupid to be tricked that easily. I couldn't even laugh after seeing all the ridiculous buffs that were given to Ning Yi. The screenwriter makes all the historical businessmen, bandits, politicians and officials look so stupid in this drama. Only Ning Yi is the smart one among all other characters, and he's a modern businessman. Everything is so easy for him!
I also feel that this drama is very disrespectful to women. There are at least 3 sexual assault scenes towards women in this drama, and two of them happen to our female lead Su Tan Er, and they just ignore it as if it wasn't something too serious! Besides, Su Tan Er is supposed to be a smart female businesswoman running the first female-lead home business in history, but all I can see is how she wouldn't survive in the business world without Ning Yi's help. All of the other female characters are also saved and helped by the smart Ning Yi. Without him, they wouldn't survive or succeed. The worst case is Tan Er's best friend from Lin An town, Lou Shu Wan. She was introduced as a super smart business lady with creative business strategies. However, after being saved by Ning Yi, suddenly she decided to seduce a powerful man that was trying to kidnap her, rely on him and destroy him in the end to trade for power and wealth? This is ridiculous and unacceptable!
Another thing I dislike about this show is that they killed off an important beloved character unnecessarily again. It's too easy to predict for me now. I could sense his death coming right at the scene where he gave Ning Yi his own novel and asked Ning Yi to help him edit it, and Ning Yi said he would do it later. It's always like that. This type of character always has an unfinished task that leads to a lingering sense of regret for other characters and viewers after his sacrifice. And again, it's always the one with a partner, or a long time unrequited crush in this case.
Surprisingly, the spotlight of this drama for me is the female lead's uncle and cousin. This father-son duo is hilarious. They appeared to be the villains at first, but then I couldn't stop laughing at their scenes in the latter episodes. Their appearances are just pure comedy.

A good series about found family, mother issues and realistic adulthood. Not a good romance.
This is a good series with found family tropes. I quite enjoyed it, especially the first half. I love the interactions between the brother-sister trio when they are teenagers, the bickering interactions between the two dads, the father-daughter relationship between our female lead Jianjian and her father Li Hai Chao, and the father-son relationship between Li Hai Chao and He Zi Qiu.My two most favorite characters are Li Hai Chao and He Zi Qiu. I like He Zi Qiu the most among the trio. I love to see him bickering with Jianjian. He truly loves and cares for Jianjian as an older brother, and always tries his best to protect his family, including Jianjian and her father. He always wishes to become a real family with them, and that's why he mistakes that feeling for romantic love. I love how he asks for Li Hai Chao's permission before making a move on Jianjian. He's one of the lights that I've found in this show. I also love to watch his journey on healing the relationship with his mother. Out of the mothers in the series (I don't include the mother of Zi Qiu's best friend as she is a very side character), she is one of the two mothers that I empathize with and deserves to be forgiven for her mistakes towards her children. I love her happy ending with Zi Qiu and Jianjian's father.
Another light is Li Hai Chao. He is the best dad ever, and the kindest man I've seen. He treats other people, including women and kids with respect. He's so loving, caring and patient towards his children. I love every scene with him in it. He makes my heart feel warm. I've never had a father like him, and have serious father issues, so I always have a soft spot for a nurturing father, and a loving father-daughter relationship.
I also like how the show implies messages about growing up and how difficult adulthood can be, and the relationship between Asian parents and their adult children. I love the friendship between the 3 girls Jianjian, Mingyue, and Tang Can. I think their bonding is beautiful and realistic. I love how they care and support each other through different hardships in life. There are some conflicts between them sometimes but that's how best friends treat each other in real life. They are straightforward towards each other and don't let any boy get involved and ruin their friendship. That's another good thing about this series, that there is no toxic love triangle.
I feel that "Go Ahead" is a series about mother issues. All the characters in this series, excluding ZiQiu's best friend, have serious mother issues. Most of them have toxic mothers that lead to a lot of trauma and shape their personality when they grow up. I relate to Mingyue the most. Some people may find her character annoying but it's realistic when she grew up with her parents. I used to be just as annoying as her. My father is an absent father like her father, and my mother is too controlling towards whatever I do in life. She's never satisfied with whatever I do. I was a model student, but I used to be so unconfident and never thought I'm good enough. I pushed away the people that liked me because I was scared that they would stop liking me after knowing who I am. I see myself in her a lot, and I felt so proud and emotional at the scene when she confronted her mother and expressed her suppressed feeling for a long time in front of her. Mingyue's mother is the other mother besides Zi Qiu's that I empathize with. She's a lot like my mother and I understand she just wishes the best for her daughter, although her method is wrong. I was also touched at the scene where Minyue stood up for her mother when her father confronted her and blamed her mother for an unhappy marriage between them. My absent father also did that, and I also stood up for my mother.
That's a few things I love about the series. Now there are things that I dislike. The first thing is the romance between the leads. They got together so quickly after treating each other like siblings for a very long time since they were kids. It feels so forced to me. I don't feel any chemistry between them either. Plus, I feel like Ling Xiao was forcing Jianjian into their relationship. He did a lot of toxic things. He wasn't satisfied when Jianjian had a boyfriend and tried to break them up. He met her boyfriend secretly and asked him to break up with her. This is different from Zi Qiu, because the reason Zi Qiu didn't approve of her boyfriend is that he was worried about him being a pervert and betraying Jianjian. Zi Qiu is just a protective older brother and wishes the best for her sister. Another toxic thing Ling Xiao did was confessing to Jianjian but didn't give her time to think, but kind of forced her into the relationship, and he kissed her without her consent!
Another thing is that they don't seem to consider mental illness as a serious issue in this series. Ling Xiao was severely depressed, but he never went to therapy and relied on Jianjian for his comfort. That's not a good way in the long run. I had depression for years and I know how burdensome and exhausting it is for people around me to be around me for a long while. That's not a healthy relationship. Also, it’s painful to see how Chinese people think of mental illness. It's considered something embarrassing. My Asian mom thinks so too, and she always tries to hide other people about me going to therapy. I know they care about me but it still hurts me a lot.
My biggest issue about this series is about the concept of family. What I love about this series at first is the concept of a found family. However, later the kids forgive their toxic parents after terrible things they have done for them, just because 'your mother is your mother'. I feel like it's somehow against the series' initial concept. Ling Xiao is forced to take care of the selfish biographical mother who abandoned him and never cared about her children, including Ling Xiao and her 2 sisters. I think the best ending for Ling Xiao's mother should be that both Ling Xiao and her sister cut her off.
Next is Tang Can's mother. She's also one of the worst mothers. It appears to me from the beginning to the end that she only cares about her own pride. When Tang Can was an inspiring young child actress, her mother forced her to do a lot of commercials to earn money, and such a young kid has already earned enough to buy her parents a house and a supermarket to make a living. Who loves their kid that forces her to do that? Later it was her who destroyed her daughter's acting career because of her pride. And then she became embarrassed about her daughter and not satisfied with whatever she did, no matter how hard she tried. She never noticed how exhausted her daughter was at every family gathering, but how much her daughter embarrassed her. Then in the end, Tang Can somehow still tried to please her mother, because 'it's your mother, and mother always wishes the best for their children'. In my opinion, this is not a good message for young people nowadays.

Heartbreaking
I actually watched the last 40 minutes of this movie like 15 years ago and didn’t dare to pick it up again until now. I finally completed the whole movie today. It totally broke me into pieces.Despite some flaws in the plot, which is understandable for a Korean movie released in the 2000s, I gave it 10/10 partly for my nostalgic feeling about the older days, and partly because of Kwon Sang Woo’s sad eyes and soft voice. I swear he had one of the saddest eyes and the softest voice in this movie. When I looked into those eyes and heard him speaking with that soft voice, I felt like the whole world just collapsed, and I just wanted to give him a warm hug. But I also know that only Cream could warm K’s heart. Actually, I think they were already a married couple for a long time without realizing. Their love for each other was natural like a breath in the air. It existed without them noticing, and they couldn’t live without it.
The acting from Lee Bo Young and the rest of the cast was amazing too, and Lee Seung Cheol’s ballad soundtrack and his singing voice made the movie even more emotional.

Proud to be a 8loomy!
Everyone, may our life all bloom like flowers! 🌸Finally able to watch this series after putting it in my watchlist for years. I picked up this series because of my favorite actress Honda Tsubasa, and also because I always love stories about idols, music and entertainment industry. I’m an idiot that I didn’t know my favorite Fumiya Takahashi was also in this series, and he is a main character!
I’m so glad I picked up this series! It’s such a beautiful, heartwarming, joyful and inspiring series. I really enjoyed it. I also had a hard time in my career and life, so I relate a lot to 8loom boys and the female lead as well. Most of the characters in this series are likable and non-toxic, which I really appreciate.
Every boy in 8loom is so sweet and adorable! They are kind-hearted human beings, and super supportive towards their groupmates and friends. As a 8loomy, they are all my biases! Chayney’s boys are sweet too.
The soundtracks are amazing and they also add a lot of meanings to the story. I love all of the songs. I just wish 8loom debuted for real so that I could really become a 8loomy and keep supporting them and listen to their music!
Another thing I love about this series is how they normalize queer relationships and treat queer people very normally.
There are a few things I didn’t like much about this series in its second half but the last episode really touched my heart and the ending feels satisfying enough.
About the tiny subplot romance, I’m not too bothered by it. I’m okay with age-gap and student-teacher relationships, as it happens in real life all the time, as long as their reality is legal, and the gap isn’t over 20 years (for both younger man/older woman and the opposite), and their maturity is similar. The thing is, the romantic chemistry between the leads feels a little awkward, and the romance isn’t so necessary either. But it’s just a tiny element and not the focus of the series.

A great work from Bong Joon Ho
Mickey 17 is a great sci-fi movie, packed with good humor, action, romance and touching moments. It’s a nice picture of humanity and modern society. It’s a good blend of entertainment and politics elements.I had fun watching it, with only me in the cinema. It seems that no one in my town watches this movie. It’s been released in our local cinemas for a week and today is the last day. Anyway, I had the best experience ever!
I love Robert Pattinson’s performance of Mickey. His romance is beautiful as well. Nasha is literally the best female character I’ve seen recently.
It’s also nice to see Mark Ruffalo as a villain. :)

It's a big mess! A disappointment!
As a fan of the original webtoon, I'm so disappointed with this adaptation. It's totally messed up! A lot of changes just don't make any sense. It's just full of cliché, tropes and dumb plot holes. I just couldn't stand them.I got so mad how they even changed Ji Eum's first life. I really love the sibling interactions between Ji Eum and Do Yun in the webtoon and I really hoped they at least kept their past together, it would be so much fun, but it didn't happen. :(
Eventhough I really adore Ahn Bo Hyun and Shin Hye Sun, they are not Seoha and Ji Eum in my mind and I didn't see any chemistry between them at all. It's not because of their acting. They are great actors and actresses, but they just don't fit the characters. Seoha and Ji Eum are much more badass in the webtoon. And also, Shin Hye Sun is 10 years older than Ji Eum, a 23-year-old woman. That makes even less suitable for the role.
I just finished the drama just for the cast only. They did a great job in a bad drama.
Now I'm worried for another webtoon adaptation from the same author: It's a good day to be a dog. I really want to see it with the live-action version, and I also love the cast. But I lost hope after finishing this series.

A great drama for introverts
As an introvert living in this extrovert world, I relate so much to the characters in the series. It’s a realistic slow-paced and heartwarming slice of life series. I see myself in Mi Jeong, Chang-hee, Mr. Gu, and sometimes Gi Jeong, and other characters. The only thing I don’t really like, even though it is realistic and suitable to the vibe of the series, is that Mr. Gu seems to rely on Mi Jeong in his alcohol addiction behaviors and emotional healing journey with a lot of serious traumas. I feel like their message in the last episode is that romantic love can heal everything, and that Mi Jeong only finds herself lovely when she’s with Mr. Gu. I don’t aggree with this idea.

A light and fun drama with multiple leads, if you don’t take things too seriously
“Perfect Math” is a light and fun Cdrama with multiple characters that take turn to be the leads. Each of them is the perfect match for their partner. I love all of them, and my most favorite couple is the fourth lady and her husband. They are just so adorable! I also think they are the only healthy couple and can make sense in real life, while the others are too exaggerating and illogical. 🤣My least favorite couple is the fifth lady and her husband, as compared to others, their story doesn’t make sense the most, and it’s the most dramatic one. They are still fun to watch and have good chemistry, although they don’t really have any physical intimacy scenes together.
Don’t take anything too seriously when watching this series. I don’t think this is about women's empowerment or any serious label you want to call it. For me it’s just a pure lighthearted comedy and romance with great chemistry!
I also love the loving relationship between the sisters and their mother. It’s not common in a Cdrama to see this kind of family bonding. I enjoyed watching the son-in-law alliance too. It’s really fun and unique. I haven’t seen any historical drama with this kind of alliance!
I wish there would be more scenes to dig deeper into the relationship between the adopted sister and her husband. The ending feels a little bit rushed that makes me a little confused. I would like to see more scenes of the couples, and I wish to see their kids, not just mentioned.
