It’s a shame Ryan had a situation with the studio and had his contract terminated :( He really was a cutie and…
The production company should reach out to Ryan and try to negotiate a contract. He has posted thank-you messages to fans so he's happy to be associated with the series even if it's now an unofficial thing for him. I bet the next time around there wouldn't be any issues.
I think they should let the actor speak in Chinese and pretend the cast can all understand him and that he can understand their Thai lol. They managed with Korean and Chinese in 'Because of You' so why not haha.
I just had to say something. I’ve just completed watching this and I loved it!! It leaves you with a warm feeling.…
Cha Eun Woo stepped out of his comfort zone with this role, especially since in his previous drama roles he basically played himself - Kpop idol who is always cheerful and kind. People criticize him for playing Kyung Suk as too sullen and detached but for me that's the whole point of the character -- he's been damaged by life and has major trust issues. It's a remarkably controlled performance, and he does a believable job of loosening up the character as the series progresses.
The only thing I'd want different is to show more of Kyung Suk's back story when he was still in middle school with Mi Rae and in high school.
Watched this whole drama without realizing the ML also played the younger version of Kyung Suk in 'My ID is Gangnam Beauty' -- a drama I've rewatched two or three times now. D'oh!
The first time I watched this I had to wait a week between episodes. I just rewatched the whole thing from start to finish and it held together very well.
While I too wish there were more episodes and that they were longer, I'm not going to score the drama lower because of it. This series is in the genre of the web dramas you can find by the dozen on YouTube.
Anyway, this remains one of my favorite series and I hope there's another season.
I started this drama and one thing impressed me right away. About 12-1/2 minutes into the first episode there's an extended sequence lasting almost 3-1/2 minutes, using a single camera in one continuous take as it follows different students who are starting their school day. At one point it even scales down a wall and keeps going -- no idea how they managed that!
Overall it was an okay drama. A lot better than most BLs that have come out so far. Ram/King had the best couple…
I think part of the genius of the series was that each couple had its own dynamic and was treated respectfully. There was something for every viewer to identify with and cheer on. I admire the care that the series creators put into making that happen.
Hey relax, Taejoo is a rich kid and it's not surprising that he acts spoilt sometimes. Also, he is the impulsive…
For me this is a hallmark of the best Kdramas -- the complexity of the characters.
Tae appears to have every advantage but he craves something that money can't buy, and because of his pampered upbringing it's a challenge for him to pursue that without making a lot of mistakes. For the first time in his life he will have to give of himself in order to get what he needs so much -- it won't just be handed to him. This is an area where he lacks any experience.
He clearly loves Gook and is *in* love with Gook. This is the arena where he has the least amount of confidence so he says and does stupid things. I think he hopes to push Gook to the point that Gook will take the initiative and spare Tae from having to take the risk himself. To lose Gook would devastate him, which is why he forbids him from even joking about an end to their arrangement.
Where Your Eyes Linger!!! It's so good. You can watch it officially on Viki.
Agreed. In fact after watching the latest episodes I'm a bit less optimistic for a happy ending. The undercurrent of anger makes me worry that the rest of the series will be about them finding ways to hurt each other.
Wow this LGBT drama reported on SCMP news website with positive review! https://www.scmp.com/magazines/style/news-trends/article/3086453/how-thai-lgbt-show-2gether-series-became-automatic-hit
LOL that's quite a puff piece.
And you know it's full of baloney when it says things like "2gether doesn’t have unnecessary drama or conflict."
But the part I like best is under a subhead of "The show affirms that queer love is OK and normal".
The author says:
"Spoiler alert: at the near end of Episode 6, Tine and Sawarat attend a ... concert.... Tine puts his arms on Sarawat's shoulders.
"'Thank you for being here,' Tine says.
"'It was fun,' Sarawat replies.
"Then, they smile at each other.
"The show paints a portrait of how young queer love would look, and how it would exist in an alternate universe – free from prejudice and discrimination."

I'm super curious about whether they'll take the negative feedback seriously since they have tons more fans who'd love anything BrightWin.

P'Doc better get things sorted in Season 2. A "bro" doesn't sneak some pics of his shirtless buddy. :)
I'm hoping with you!

Hilarious! xD
