🤦🏼♀️Looks like that manipulating bitch has won this round. After Korn told her it was over she staged…
Whatever Mintra staged, I wonder if her plot will be undone by footage from one of the spy cameras that Suzy has all over the house. Unless, of course, Suzy is pleased this turn of events and lets them take their course.
I wasn't sure what was going on with this series so I turned to my imaginary friend, who has been following along,…
Honestly, I think it's meant to be puzzling. I just hope that when they resolve the story we'll look back on the strange stuff and see it finally makes sense.
I was just waiting to see who cheated first. My bet was on Patis. Nobody is that busy. When he cut his call when…
I don't think Patis cheated because the cafe lady's voiceover expressed disappointment that Thana used his wish to get help finding a job instead of mending his relationship. To me that wouldn't make sense if Patis is a cheater already.
I agree that Thana and Patis's communication is terrible. Thana tells Patis that he found a job, and Patis didn't even ask what the job was until a few minutes later.
So far it's not clear what the magic of the cafe is about. As of Episode 4 it seems like it's neither good nor bad, and it all depends on the person who makes the wish.
The voiceover from the cafe lady seemed to say that she was disappointed that Thana used his wish to get help finding a job instead of repairing his relationship. That makes me think that the cafe is not just evil.
It's also unclear what all the "rules" are surrounding the magic, so it's too early to say if the plot is a mess because it just makes things up as it goes along. For me, if the version of the universe they create stays consistent it will be a big plus.
It's also unclear where they're going with Nack's character -- they've showed us his dark side a couple of times, and he's just been rejected in favor of Mai, so watch out -- and we still need to know what's up with Pie, who definitely has a dark side. (THAT was a surprise!)
I think that we'll find out that Time is more than a casual acquaintance for Thana and that when they met it wasn't accidental.
And how come that nurse had a key to give to Patis? Maybe she and Time are both some kind of "helper spirits" for the couple.
I'm enjoying both storylines but can tell from other comments that I'm almost alone in this. I like the elaborate puzzle that the series is presenting. We get so many series that repeat the same old tropes, where you can predict what will happen at every turn. With this one I'm constantly guessing, and I like it.
If the final two episodes take a nose dive then I'll be singing a different tune, of course.
I'm convinced that the actor for Miss Becky is one of the producers for the series, because otherwise I can't think of a justification for so much screen time given to her and Chukchuk, who I suspect in real life is actually one of her dogs.
If anyone was actually moved by the wedding, please see a psychiatrist.
It might be a first in one regard, though -- we got a funeral and a wedding in the same episode. They really wanted to wring the tears out of us, didn't they.
Of course, the only thing this series will be remembered for is Fifth and Zeke. I just hope their sequel series will be free from Miss Becky and that damn dog. And that it won't hinge on a breakup storyline the way almost every other sequel series does.
I started off wondering why the writer of "Restart After Coming Home" didn't sue the writer of "Love Tractor"…
I'm with you. This is tracking "Restart" so closely. As the scenes in the series unfold I keep having flashbacks to the movie (which I've watched four or five times.)
If we later find out that Chan is so relentlessly cheerful because he's trying to mask a past trauma (extra points if it's a trauma involving parental rejection or abandonment) then we'll know we're definitely onto something here.
If Sun Yeol then ends up journeying to the city with Chan to learn more about Chan's family history ... oh dear. The publisher of the Japanese manga should engage their legal team.
Apparently I'm one of the few who is enjoying this.
The stupid way they handle flashbacks is getting out of hand, though. Heaven forbid they simply add a caption saying "Five years ago" or something like that, then "Present day" when they return to the main timeline. Otherwise, making us puzzle over wtf is going on really takes you out of the story.
The subs could be better, of course, but it's not like it's impossible to tell what the dialog is.
For me so far, Episode 3 was the most watchable. The stories of both couples advanced without wasting much time.
We learn a little bit more about the Pie character too.
I can understand why Thana might deserve some kind of "punishment" for his dishonesty, but the witch lady is also trying to set up Ryou and that seems downright mean. He's a good kid. If anything, Nack should be the one getting targeted. Ryou's only crime will be that he gets seduced by Mai.
I did get a laugh at the app on her iPad for tracking her victims. I searched the AppStore for "iHex" but couldn't find it. Must be under another name.
Semi-Final 1: Xitsuh vs Jin Hyeong.Semi-Final2: Dex vs Jin Ho.Final match: Dex vs Jin Hyeong.Winner: Jin Hyeong.Runner:…
I'm disappointed, but at least Dex got to the final match.
I loved the series. Would have loved it even more if Dex had won -- or if any of the Wild Team had won, really. How sad that they fought so well as a team but didn't prevail in the end.
I think it's been a while since some of y'all have been around 20yo's. There are plenty of late-teens and early 20's guys who look like they're in their late 20's. PLENTY.
In "Restart After Come Back Home", one of the characters has the same relentless good cheer as Chan does here, and it drives the other guy crazy. Eventually, though, someone explains why the cheerful character keeps putting on the cheerful face. The reason is very touching and a little sad.
I'm not familiar with this story so I don't know if Chan's personality has the same kind of origin, but in the case of that movie the revelation hit with a whallop and was a profound turning point. The general quality of this production makes me hopeful that we'll see something similar.

The casting of the younger versions of the leads is super convincing.

I will message you with the links.
