If they really wanted to compare Korean contestants with non-Korean, they should have just let every boy fend for himself -- mix them all together from the start, like they did on the Youth With You shows.
At this point, if I were a producer of this show, seeing the incredibly lopsided results would make me realize that the system that we set up to score the contestants is severely flawed. There's simply no way that the K team is *that* much better than the G team.
But maybe that flawed system was the whole idea from the start.
As for kissing, someone has already explained here, a kissing scene is not necessary in this series because remember…
Yes! This is the whole point of the kiss debate for those of us who are fed up with all the fake-outs.
In Episode 11, when I saw that the scene was going to be Tinn dropping off Gun at Gun's house at the end of the day, I literally said out loud, "Here we go again." And I was right.
Nobody is saying that a BL series without a kiss on the lips is a waste of time.
The writers ... and therefore the characters ... are who have made it a big deal for this particular series.
That last fake-out made me finally lose patience. I'm ready for the series to end. It's been stuck in neutral for the last few episodes anyway, so it's time to go. Let's hope it does so with dignity and not more manipulation and disappointment.

You can count me as a Ken fan. He strikes me as a more complex character than the rest, and while he started out as a complete jerk he has shown a willingness to change. And he's hot. 😏
I can't tell if he's bisexual or just gay and dating a beard. There's that scene where he was fucking his girlfriend and unable to cum until he finished on his own while fantasizing about Shogun, but it's not clear if his inability to perform was typical or if the breakup with Shogun brought it on.
If Ken ends up the murder victim they could be setting up his ex as the culprit. Losing both her boyfriend and the leading role in the play might end up pushing her over the edge.

It's been treading water lately.
It's still charming but the initial spark started to fade a few episodes ago. I think they've been banking on Fourth's cuteness and Gemini's earnestness to carry the day, but there's only so much those two can do without a script that moves their story forward.
A sure sign that a person knows they have a losing argument is when they have to distort the viewpoint of the people they disagree with before attacking it.
Nobody is saying that there has to be a kiss scene because a BL without a kiss scene is boring .... we're saying that to tease a kiss over and over and over is getting tiresome and irritating.
Why can BL writers never grasp that fevers are caused by viral and bacterial infections and not walking in warm…

The first scene (the "resume" scene) had been posted as a preview the day before the episode aired and it got me intrigued by the idea that King (whose reaction to learning about Shogun and Ken hadn't been the best) had found he liked the feeling of being liked by Burger. I was willing to accept that King would be confused enough by that feeling to claim that he didn't "like" Burger in return and simply liked feeling wanted, because it seemed to promise a new take on how a guy might process what was awakening in him.
But then they gave us the shenanigans at King's house -- sometimes cute and naughty, but that earlier premise seemed to be forgotten as King went into full seduction mode.
As for Matteo, I think he felt he should make his feelings for Shogun public because his classmates were treating Shogun like an outcast.
On a side note, I used Google Translate to read King's resume and one of the first things it says is that he likes to eat burgers. 😂

Ken's earring comes and goes. In the first episode when he's with Shokun in the locker room, Ken has earrings in both ears. Then later when they're together in the shower Ken has no earrings at all.
Plus the dead kid had multiple earrings in his right ear. So far, Ken has worn only one per ear. The dead kid's nose also looks different to me than Ken's.
But maybe I'm just hoping that Ken survives. I think he's hot. 😏
I'm wondering if the nasty intolerant teacher will turn out to be the murderer.
Really, though, does the outcome of the contest really matter? Whichever way it lands, the series will turn it into the best possible ending. Hot Wave has managed to bring Tinn and Gun together -- as well as Win and Sound -- and because of that it has already been a huge success.
I think they'll win, though -- but only because they've tied the outcome to prestige for the school, and because Tinn will need to throw that victory back in his mother's face if she tries to intervene in his relationship with Gun.
I think the only thing that will get Chopper to act against his dad is for Ben to either be in jeopardy or get killed. People have speculated that maybe Palm would be dead by the end of the series but I think the most likely candidate is Ben.
That said, after watching this week's episode I feel so torn! The development of the story just doesn't make sense,…
I think it's more likely that Chopper will be the one who kills is own father rather than get killed trying to stop him.
I'm wondering if the moment of truth will include Ben in the scene, so that Chopper can look over at Ben before deciding what to do. I don't think he'd kill his dad merely to save Nueng because his dad has already killed multiple people and Chopper hasn't done anything about it.
Ben... please understand Chopper it's not like he can go and fight his father who is murdering everyone and buying…
But Chopper promised Ben he would do just that.
I'm not so sure that Chopper's dad has bought out the police. If he had, that would have been the warning that Chopper gave to Ben not to report his dad. Instead he said he didn't want his dad to go to jail.
Palm's dad is in jail not because the cops are corrupt, but because the people who shot Nueng's mom said he was part of the plan.
