My theory: the father will die and Rain will have to take over running the business. It will change him, and when he returns to Payu he will relate to Payu much less. Perhaps Rain will even have a girlfriend. Payu will eventually think all is lost and start to distance from Rain. Maybe he'll get a girlfriend too. And this will make Rain finally come to his senses.
This will be a nice diversion every Sunday but I'll probably forget about it during the week.
Both leads are unlikable and to me they're not that attractive, so I guess it will be a good idea to have them leech off each other instead of the rest of the student body.
I've known guys like Fah, and from what I've seen they sleep around not because they haven't met the right guy yet, but because they need the affirmation that comes with seducing people. It's the chase that matters most, and once the pursuit of their latest prey has succeeded they get antsy because the deeper need that drives the behavior isn't being addressed.
In their pursuit of conquest they also have no problem making other guys think they're interested in them for real, if it helps with the end goal. This is what makes them immoral, not the sex per se.
I'll be impressed if the series ends up dealing with this kind of intimacy issue in a thoughtful way, but so far it seems that the behavior of both guys is being romanticized. "Who was Fah with last night? Who did he dump last week?" They'll expect viewers to swoon over the mere fact that they both finally found true love in one another. Yuck!
I do like the side couples, except for the m/f one, and that's because the female half is yet another tiresome fangirl whose adoration for Fah only feeds that romanticization narrative that I'm so wary of.
Since commenters are weighing in on the comparison to "Check Out" ... as unpromising as this is, it's only the first episode, and I couldn't even finish the first episode of "Check Out". For now I'll keep watching "Fahlanruk" for the m/m side couples. I'm willing to change my mind about the main couple if their story manages to take on some unexpected depth.
I think they did a nice job with the twist of how Puen finally realizes who Talay is. When I rewatched the first episode a couple of weeks ago I figured the hat would be a factor and it was nicely integrated into the story.
Not complaining but curious. Why is there so many cameos in this? I mean this is just one of the many bl series…
I think it's just to have fun with viewers like us. There was some speculation that GMMTV has been doing it because ratings were low, but it's been part of the series since the start.
A BrightWin cameo would surprise me since I get the impression that they have moved on from BL.
An amazing episode! It would have been even better without wasting any time on banshee Da Ra -- clearly one of the most annoying characters in Kdrama -- but that's what the fast-forward feature is for. I'll enjoy the last episode without her as well, thank you.
I guess the Hyeon Woo-Jae Young ship isn't going to sail but at least they're close friends now.
Episode 4 came along at just the right time, dealing with the complaint that Takara is a robot. To the contrary! One reason that Amagi is good for him is that Amagi thrives on affirmation and affection, and as Takara realizes this he is becoming more and more open about his feelings.
The episode did an amazing job of showing this process in action.
The final episode was a hoot ... the perfect ending to this goofy, lovable series.
My favorite moment has to be at the surprise party, when Kamol asks the three bodyguards if he should arrange a wedding for them. And then Baiboon asking Khom what that means, and Khom telling him he's too young to know. Come on, screenwriters! The kid's not eight years old. Even if Baiboon attends a Catholic high school he'll know what Kamol was talking about.
I don't know why Khom and Baiboon went along to the luncheon where Kamol met Kim's parents. In keeping with the issues with Baiboon's characterization, though, they dressed him in a tie-dye shirt for heaven's sake, as though a teenage boy wouldn't know to wear a sport coat to a special occasion.
But, afterward, there was that look that Khom and Kamol exchanged after Khom opened the car door for Baiboon, conveying what we all want to hear: "Yes, Baiboon and I like each other."
For me, in many ways the series took ownership of the cringe factor, like Kim's speech to Evan about how Danil just needs attention and love, and Danil apologizing to Kim and the two exchanging a hug. I found that so endearingly silly.
And the way that the world's worst excuse for a friend, aka Cherry, gets a pass YET AGAIN for her diabolical deeds. How many times can she try to kill someone and still get by with the excuse that Danai made her do it? When she was hauled into the hostage room along with Danil and Kim, I fully expected her to be there as a spy to help Danai to get information out of the other two.
My main disappointments were that Sammie wasn't at the big party and Kim didn't ask Itt and Day how their son is doing. (I'm guessing that Sammie couldn't make it because she was busy filming "Between Us".)
I don't expect to ever rewatch this series but it gave me joy, and I will miss being able to look forward to new episodes.
Look at the bright side, folks: assuming there's a happy ending, when rewatching you'll know which episodes you can skip (such as the ones with Minato obsessing over his former sensei π )

She has quite a fan base though, I'll hand her that. The photo section on this page has 244 pics and all but maybe five of them are of her.
