An amazing episode! It would have been even better without wasting any time on banshee Da Ra -- clearly one of the most annoying characters in Kdrama -- but that's what the fast-forward feature is for. I'll enjoy the last episode without her as well, thank you.
I guess the Hyeon Woo-Jae Young ship isn't going to sail but at least they're close friends now.
Episode 4 came along at just the right time, dealing with the complaint that Takara is a robot. To the contrary! One reason that Amagi is good for him is that Amagi thrives on affirmation and affection, and as Takara realizes this he is becoming more and more open about his feelings.
The episode did an amazing job of showing this process in action.
The final episode was a hoot ... the perfect ending to this goofy, lovable series.
My favorite moment has to be at the surprise party, when Kamol asks the three bodyguards if he should arrange a wedding for them. And then Baiboon asking Khom what that means, and Khom telling him he's too young to know. Come on, screenwriters! The kid's not eight years old. Even if Baiboon attends a Catholic high school he'll know what Kamol was talking about.
I don't know why Khom and Baiboon went along to the luncheon where Kamol met Kim's parents. In keeping with the issues with Baiboon's characterization, though, they dressed him in a tie-dye shirt for heaven's sake, as though a teenage boy wouldn't know to wear a sport coat to a special occasion.
But, afterward, there was that look that Khom and Kamol exchanged after Khom opened the car door for Baiboon, conveying what we all want to hear: "Yes, Baiboon and I like each other."
For me, in many ways the series took ownership of the cringe factor, like Kim's speech to Evan about how Danil just needs attention and love, and Danil apologizing to Kim and the two exchanging a hug. I found that so endearingly silly.
And the way that the world's worst excuse for a friend, aka Cherry, gets a pass YET AGAIN for her diabolical deeds. How many times can she try to kill someone and still get by with the excuse that Danai made her do it? When she was hauled into the hostage room along with Danil and Kim, I fully expected her to be there as a spy to help Danai to get information out of the other two.
My main disappointments were that Sammie wasn't at the big party and Kim didn't ask Itt and Day how their son is doing. (I'm guessing that Sammie couldn't make it because she was busy filming "Between Us".)
I don't expect to ever rewatch this series but it gave me joy, and I will miss being able to look forward to new episodes.
Look at the bright side, folks: assuming there's a happy ending, when rewatching you'll know which episodes you can skip (such as the ones with Minato obsessing over his former sensei π )
I've been watching only the scenes with Nuea and Jean and even that pair is proving to be a disappointment. They're certainly more compelling than the main leads, but the same would be true of watching paint dry.
I swear, when Jean was cheering up Nuea their dialog had to have been improvised, or they forgot their lines and the director just kept filming anyway.
Surely i am not the only one thinking somethings is totally not right ......and what would be ....did rain know…
The scene with the family piling into the car had an air of foreboding to it. The bg music seemed to support that, as did the sudden appearance of the woman who had no luggage, just something mysterious in her handbag.
Kim's exchange with his dad right before they left was also surprisingly cordial -- for me another warning sign.
I feel bad for Shun. Let's remember that Rain gave Shun false hope a couple of episodes ago by flirting with him…
Rain was a bad boy in that scene!
I rewatched yesterday and also noticed him flirting with Shun. He also played dirty after the girl who's crushing on Payu pouted over him not attending her performance (concert?). Rain overheard and made a point of walking over to thank Payu for coming to watch his game, at which point she turned tail and left the room.
You would think I would dislike this series, but I don't. There are a few things going for it, other than the…
I gawk at the villain boy every time he's on camera. I hope they don't make him so bad that he cheats in the election.
I'd like to think that the slightly dim-witted member of his posse could be a wild card and become part of a third BL couple, but he's probably there just for comic relief.
With Episodes 3 and 4, the series starts to show how it was constructed using familiar parts of many other BLs. I try not to get too hung up on tropes because I like to think of them as Easter Eggs that playfully send a signal to viewers, confirming that we're all part of a niche community that appreciates a special genre.
But, nonetheless! Once the wound-dressing scene started I could have practically scripted it myself, so my attention wandered and I got impatient for them to just get past it.
I think Qi Zhang needs to cool his jets a bit. He's coming on really strong. Maybe Ye Guang is okay with that and by now even expects people to react to him that way, but I would have liked it if Qi Zhang had distinguished himself from all the fangirls by not being so besotted in his presence. I was dumbfounded when he gave Ye Guang the expensive earbuds that he said he'd saved up to buy. (And equally dumbfounded that rich kid Ye Guang accepted them.)
In his own way, Qi Zhang has just as much going for him as Ye Guang does. Now and then it would be nice to see a little bit of Ye Guang being besotted.
Is the second couple truly two other leading roles, or are they supporting players? We're halfway through the series and they've gotten barely any air time.
The band needs to learn a new song... STAT.
And I know I sound like I hate this thing, but I really don't. I just expected a little more given the pedigree and the adorable cast.
Speaking of the cast, just how tall is actor Li Zhen Hao (Ye Guang)? In a couple of scenes he towers like a giant! It was a cute detail that the borrowed pants from Qi Zhang were indeed way too short, exposing his ankles.
Welp, Rain and Phayu finally closed the deal in Episode 10. πβ¨ππ¦
When I saw Phayu in the shower and Rain walked up behind him, I was sure it was another dream sequence, but no! But for them to literally have "sex on the beach" was a bit reckless. The two spurned pursuers each got an eyeful!
I'm troubled by the departure scene with Rain and his family, and the "friend" who has no luggage, especially given Kim's nightmare from earlier in the episode. Is there a bomb in her bag? Will they kill off that entire family except for Kim? That would make "MODC" look like a kiddie cartoon in comparison.

She has quite a fan base though, I'll hand her that. The photo section on this page has 244 pics and all but maybe five of them are of her.
The big revelation at the end of Episode 14 is all conveyed in on-screen text, and there are no subtitles for it!!!!!
Is anyone able to give us the gist? Thank you!

For me Da Ra is an excruciating character. A series built around her would be torture.
Yup. Sure seems to be going a certain way ... π
