So Junhwan didn't do particularly well in fan votes and got dead last in the board ratings, but still debuted? I don't even have anything against him, but wtf kind of outcome is that? I don't think I can even call myself ignorant if he turns out to be skilled, because he was barely even focused on in the show. Just compare his screentime to Jiyong, who didn't even debut. And Wuhao did well in fan votes and was acknowledged by both the trainees and board as a top all-rounder, but then they give him a lousy score in the final, and he doesn't debut? Wtf is going on here?
I swear, at this rate we're going to get a long makeout scene on the tennis court with Chanyeong and Jiyu, and the show will end with Heesu and Seungwon high fiving.
I've liked this show so far, but ep 4 felt more like Chanyong in Class 2. I don't think the chemistry is very good in the straight couple, and it's annoying to see the main couple (the literal BL in the BL drama) remain stagnant while the straight couple advances.
First of all, nobody in their right mind would have agreed to Jaemin's "deal" in the first place. If Suhyeon actually cared about Daon's wellbeing, he would have tried to get Daon AWAY from Jaemin, even if it ended up hurting his own relationship with Daon. Instead, he agreed to pretend to date Jaemin so they could both keep Daon in their orbit by maintaining a fake, unresolvable love triangle. That's crazy. Then, after he fell for Jaemin's scheme and nearly killed a man, he left the country for 7 years and basically ghosted Daon.
In that time, Daon moved on, which is what Suhyeon was scared of in the first place. Not to mention Jaemin was still in the picture with Daon, and Suhyeon knew exactly what kind of person he was. Then he comes back, makes himself Daon's direct boss for maximum control, demands a spot in his life again, then assaults and psychologically abuses him when he has no interest. A person in love (rather than a selfish, toxic obsession) doesn't grab their crush by the jaw, scratch their face and throw stuff at them when they reject them, among other abuse. He's also had it spelled out to him by Daon that even if it was all Jaemin's fault that he left Daon's life, Daon has moved on. What's done is done.
Now he tried to team up with Jaemin AGAIN, even though he knew that Jaemin was the culprit behind his loss of Daon. Not to mention he also knew that Jaemin was intentionally keeping Daon's life from improving so that he could continue to act the role of the savior prince. Instead, Suhyeon decided Seonghyeon was a greater threat than Jaemin. Seonghyeon, who's actually treated Daon like a person and not a possession. None of this is motivated by love for Daon.
I do think Jaemin is the kidnapper, but I don't think there will be any redemption for Suhyeon.
Its obvious that Jaemin kidnapped Daon but what's not clear is Su Hyeon with Jaemin plotting together or Su Hyeon…
But Suhyeon is just as bad. He's motivated by selfish obsession, not care for Daon. He's made it clear repeatedly by assaulting Daon, threatening his job, never respecting his wishes, trying to team up with Jaemin (again), etc. He only cares about controlling Daon, same as Jaemin.
Ik it's weird but i want Daon end up with su hyeon ðŸ˜
Are you somehow missing all the parts where he assaults Daon, never respects or listens to him, uses his role to control his life, nearly killed a man, etc??
Seonghyeon is such a cute little giant puppy. And his actor was on Wild Idol, though I didn't notice him at the time. The nugu idol/idol trainee to BL actor pipeline continues unabated!!
Honestlyyyyy. Looking at starlightboys this lineup wasn't half bad.
I'm not sure. The Starlight Boys lineup has 3 main vocalists. This one has 0. That's going to be a much larger issue than I think is being acknowledged. The teams without vocalists struggled throughout the show, and it limits the range of genres and concepts Close Your Eyes will be able to pull off.
