Liu Yifei's also, of course, but I will let another profile her , or wait until next time to perhaps tackle the time consuming digging and exploring the jungle of the 亦家人. I had thought of exploring 唯一 fandom, since it was Lin Yi's third appearance this year, but it will have to wait until next time ; Lin Yi's Angels Fall Sometimes with Li Landi was very good, despite the expected sad end; I liked the other romance less.

Agree that ad was a little ... pale. He's had much better appearances since then, although some people, after scolding him for looking fat in Shen Li, now comment that he looks too thin !! He's quite fit, and his ad for Estee Lauder in June was good. Also, he is again in Madame Figaro Men photo section, for the July issue. And well, he is only a few months older than Luo Yunxi - not really old. He's still got time before he'll have to play dads or granddads to the young'uns. 🤣 If he thinks he can date one of those off screen, it's his own business anyway. I have even bigger age gap matches in my family, and they turned out very happy and longest enduring (till death parted them) so I don't see reason to frown about it. Not "some" episodes ; he had the most screen time apart from "brother" of the titular Rose. I counted 18+ episodes in which he was in for various length, out of the 38. -- If you watched it, hope you liked it. It was not an easy role : he was portraying a man between 24 and 40+ with big changes in psychology along that "marriage" and "divorce" line. In the end, the two characters are still acquainted, in a much less tight, but friendly way. He did not have many kiss scenes with Liu Yifei, in fact.
And yes, impressive acting in The Tale of Rose. Not an easy role. He's once again earned respect from his peers.…
I don't know. From the recent news, it looks like he's had to deal with anti-fans who went targeting him in the wake of his "scumbag" portrayal of Fang Xiewen. Some can't make the difference between real and act, and his rumors with his many female friends have also added fuel to fire, especially since he's been photographed accompanying a much younger actress a few times since October 2023 or so. Living the life of a celeb is not that easy, although he doesn't care much and still goes freely doing what he wants such as running, when he was pictured stopping kindly to grant an autograph to an admirer who had spotted him in his sweat drenched T shirt, in Hong Kong, end of last month lol

Sorry, I remembered wrong from the Marcus Here snippet of news of June 14. It's Shanghai Theatre Academy. I wanted to check back and had some trouble finding the video, so I looked up directly on Chinese news. And found that he still has 4 years studies to do before getting the title officially. He is now "doctoral student", admitted on June 12 with next to top score, still enough to have it mentioned and be congratulated by Tong Dawei during their Tale of Rose live stream talk 👏👏

Yes but he came out a bit too lecherous, and unpleasant with his newly acquired mania of informing her brother with snapshots taken on the sly. Good thing his fiancée dumped him and found a better husband. She looked prosperous when seen again: well over the ... 7 years (!!!) she'd wasted on that Zhou.
Meigui had much more trouble getting over her obsession with Zhuang Guodong who kept popping up physically or in imagination (see the hallucination at the art exhibition) at worst timing to rip up her mental scars. Her reaction to He Xi's departure was an indication that she still was not totally healed despite all the sheltering, soft cotton like and hard walls later, that Fang had put around her. That was also why Fang hated Zhuang and all returnees so much : he had witnessed his goddess despondent and crying, and throwing up as if poisoned, after the restaurant incident. And next, her implied admission that she was not really over Zhuang even when she married him made Fang lose the goddess image, the gentleness and admiration he had for her. Susu was right when she said Meigui had committed an irreparable mistake in transferring her burden to Fang, although Zhenhua and his dumb meddling was at fault, too. That was the root of Fang morphing into T rex during their married stint (he mellowed some, in stages, after the divorce, and was probably supporting her on the sly, through self determined alimony, since they had done it consensual, he even got her the doctor for her next man!). Zhuang had also polluted her relationship with Jiaming by popping up when the gallery was under construction. There was a parallel between Jiaming's death and Zhuang's expatriation, and she reacted to both with a painful dance, also a moment of similar anxiety and hallucinations when He Xi left.

I'm not reading nor really want to read the original novel the drama is adapted from. Have you ? From those who have, it seems that the scriptwriter adapted a lot, and the He Xi character is a new addition. So it is quite possible that the script introduced elements that LYF could relate to since the drama is partly a new creation. I was wondering what happened to the cat in the drama. It disappeared after the birth of Taichu, if I'm not mistaken.

If it's a business drama with a tough story, I would not mind seeing what she could do with Lin Gengxin - if the melon about Perfect Lobbyist is half ripe. He has been playing with older actresses of good fame (Liu Yifei, Zhao Liying), but we know Rosy can do wonders even with older actors, so if she finds the script interesting, it could be an interesting change and challenge !
