Yes let's just enjoy! I have fallen behind on my currently airing dramas, and there is an avalanche in wait coming in the next few days. I am finishing The Immortal Ascension, but did not read the novel or watch the longer donghua, so perhaps this is one I might re-watch later to better grasp what was going on, since it is quick paced. But I will not have time or energy for a long companion piece like the ones I did for other wuxia, xianxia, xuanhuan or adapted from donghua dramas.

I noticed you are watching ADWAD ; but perhaps you ought to have watched some other dramas (especially "A Journey To Love") before tackling that one, which is filled with visual and language quotes from other dramas being lampooned, so the references (also to Chinese Zhuangzi and other philosophy and literature classics) are clear to those who watched these other dramas as "shared culture" but will be lost and make the drama sometimes wholly incomprehensible for those who don't have those keys.

Much easier, and somewhat in the same spirit as ADWAD, is "Filter", one drama you seemingly missed out on. It is very comedic, and easy to get into especially for those who have some previous fond memories of Looney Tunes cartoons and 1960s Shanghai animation movies such as Danao Tiangong, the masterpiece of Wu Laiming.

Sorry, I have not watched everything, am still discovering old and new nuggets. I am a long time lover of Chinese movies, dramas and culture, but not an academic authority...
The 2013 adaptation did not blip on my radar since that was a special year for me wherein I moved a lot irl and did not watch much that I remember.
But I will now put it on my tbw list for the future. The MDL page for it did not feature the English subtitled version, so I just added it in there ;)

Shen Li and some others here, easily spotted, are rabid haters of Zhao Lusi. Shen Li masquerades as a fan of Zhao Liying. Being a follower of ZLY too, I can't let go that Shen Li throws bad light on Zhao Liying fandom as well and paint the two actresses and their fandom as enemies. lusi-rozy is a well known hater of Zhao Lusi. Not the first time that one throws mud at Rosy, and yes, I wonder if they might be paid by KU now.

But even if they have money Alibaba and Jack Ma would weigh what damage to their image could do if they go on siding with an asset that did not meet up to standards for gaining soft power and revenue: KU will likely not be supported too long if they don't find an acceptable solution outside court and public arena, to quell the fire that has been lit. It will become an ideal scapegoat and suffer differently but perhaps as cripplingly as ZLS.
