So far... Two people.. A painting, statue, alpaca...
I seem to remember she pushed it away like a door, so I thought "wall", but there were perhaps also piles of boxes. I'm sure we missed listing other small additions, since start of this delight. The walking tree already mentioned was as ominous as a nutshell Birnam Wood from Macbeth and as hilarious as Tex Avery cartoons !

Explanation. Sadly, ML character died but someone looks like him. What could happen next is up to imagination. The FL has regained her position and power and the villains are dead or out of the way. History moves on from 1930s warlords period ("Minguo" Republican era) to more modern times.
The characters played by DGZ are too often "killed off" (likewise those by Liu Yuning in regular length dramas) which is infuriating for their audience - but as fans we won't hold it against him/them if the drama thrilled us ; personally, I don't mind either SE, OE or HE endings.
Chen Fangtong has lovely curvy visuals, a sweet smile that is almost unique to her, slightly cross eyed but that does not make her ugly in my view; am appalled by those who disparage her for her face.
I too hope to see them again in future dramas, as long as they don't get shipped "together" in real life: both DGZ and Chen Fangtong are good actors and colleagues, that's all. It's not easy for them to get longer dramas, although Dawn Chen did play a longer one, A Talented girl ... last year but unfortunately I stopped at ep16 (perhaps I will get back to finish someday,I did not hate it, only something came up, and I was only mildly entertained, not thrilled to the point of raving about that script). DGZ has had hits (and miss dramas) with other leading ladies too. I usually am tempted to give a drama a go if I spot either of these in cast, although not following to the point of waiting for their next drama, or actively exploring their fandom and checking too often their social media. Still, both are in my increasingly big "virtual book" of c-actors and actresses noticed or to follow.
In this "short dramas" category, I also was impressed by Jesse Ren, from "Embrace in the Dark Night" (an over-the-top but exciting sizzle thriller) who will also be back with more soon I think, and by Richard Li + recently by Ryan Ren and Li Xingyao (they kept fires stoked despite a terrible script in "Love In The Edge of Divorce").
Currently watching - The First Frost (Bai Jingting and Zhang Ruonan in a romance about Sang Yan, the brother of Sang Zhi, who was the FL character in Hidden Love; regretting that delightful Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan could not reprise their roles in the scenes where they are supposed to interact with Sang Yan. But ZLS & CZY would probably have out-shined the leads, even in "support" or "guest" characters which is well past their level in careers, so production chose very unremarkable actors to play these roles in TFF.... I read the book, so no surprise there for me, just curious; ZRN does fit the role, but the development in drama version is very very slow, making me doze off halfway in episodes! even with the addition of a gopher lady and a dog now!) - Filter (starring Tan Jianci and Li Landi in a very funny, sometimes deeper than it first looks, drama with a fantasy twist that allows FL to change her appearance to more than just prettier faces. It's been my go-to laughs pill for the day since it started and I highly recommend it!!) - Rainkissed Fate (well... it's still airing and it's Dawn Chen + DGZ, so don't want to miss it, hoping for a HE despite the new complication with the awful doctor!)

Oh ok. Understood now... Although imho, characters like TQ, SCC etc, are often funny, adorable, but nobody would seriously bother analyzing their IQ or EQ or MBTI or whatever. The show is using common tropes in a smart way, so we audience do not get bored (I hope no-one here is bored?) and is totally worth one's time for entertainment before being inflated and over-analyzed about its worth as "moral guidance" (although it is not totally shallow either).
Anyway, episodes 11&12 were my laughing potion for today. So moving on to other stuff, before I get back here tomorrow. Have a nice time until then!
totally from my pov. It is very funny, quick paced, with some serious undertones but not so ambitious that they become tedious. And there are some unexpected references strewn in to spice it up for those who spot them. Also: the release is steady, with no days off to annoy audience, so the wait for next episodes is tolerable.
I must say this plot is a mess, too many misunderstandings and most of the people here seem to be posses very…
posses ???!! wdym "most of the people here seem to be posses" ? π§ The heartless villains employed by the awful Guan to hunt TQ and FJ banding together as posses on the hunt for bounty ? Audience here show a low of empathy for the cartoon characters, esp the one frequently masquerading as bush, box, wall, alpaca or whatnot.
Poor Tan Jianci! I think this is a scene that should not have been imposed, because the risk when eating something…
That's reassuring! eating cooked offal can be an acquired taste for some. I am ok with it, also with crunchy chicken feet, pig snout, stinky tofu or luosifen, durian, garlic, etc, but near and dear who is a vegetarian of course could not touch it. Besides, we both have serious allergies which make us avoid some food or eat it separately. I always respect these restrictions, including the cultural/religious ones although I am not religious.
Haha, I saw a discussion on XHS regarding SM's ending and how that it is a good twist and breaks a common trope.…
I am all for "killing off the superfluous character" ; it feels cathartic to get rid of some opponents in video games too. That Su M was like a video game character with her red dress and her too pretty face! Holding a funeral for her was a fun twist indeed, but I was a bit afraid they'd goof somewhere and the gullible love struck TQ would turn against the three "mourners".

I have not checked, since I have it both on WeTV and on Viki
