In the prologue, one year earlier, Dr. Xing has a phone conversation with his friend and colleague Yu Zhecheng before putting on a fandom T-shirt to celebrate the launch of a show by the actress. A year later, Qin Fei wakes up in the volunteer dormitory in Linkang after having blacked out from exhaustion following her first unplanned rescue mission. Ke Feifei (Kafei) stops Dr.Yu Zhecheng to ask for a trifling repair in the women's dorm.

After a prologue starting "five years before", when the actress and the doctor accidentally bumped into each other (in a generic European looking country, moments before a bomb went off), Qin Fei, her assistant Ke Feifei, Dr. Xing Zhizhi and a team of volunteers from Hexi hospital arrived in the area where Qin Fei was to donate a special and costly surgical knife together with working for 2 weeks as celebrity volunteer with Linkang Hospital. Almost immediately, she had to face a disaster and help the doctor rescuing a wounded child. Most of the characters are introduced, including entertainment company agent Ren Siqi before the team left Hexi, where Ren Siqi had sorted out a misunderstanding when Qin Fei turned aggressive against the person she mistook for a fan crossing the lines.

Things wind swiftly down as this episode gets bloody : several of Uncle Cai's closest people are killed, and the drug dealers find out about a tracker on Dan Tuo's truck so he has to go too, mercifully, at the hands of Uncle Cai, instead of being taken to torture. Nothing can keep Shen Xing anymore if he can find his passport... Last images are somewhat cryptic: Shen Xing receives a text message on his phone. In fact, Uncle Cai watched him drive away and finally agreed to his need for escape.

Both girls are like betta fighting fish, which should not be kept together. Susu's sister is a drug addict who tortures the one in her bowl and ends up kidnapped by the drug dealers. Shen Xing is investigating but is discovered and only owes keeping his life to... a minefield !

This episode, mostly about the work of an independent foreign aid teacher called Justin, is also a showcase for songwriter Li Da Huzi's Bob Dylan inspired song "Citizens of the World", which is sung several times in the episode, and replaces the hip-hop rap songs hitherto used at the end of episodes.

Shen Xing helped the police crack down on the casino thugs and free the reporter. But he got implicated, and did not find the expected sweetness alongside Lin Jincui who got targeted by the father of one of her purchases. The police crackdown also destroyed the casino revenue for Uncle Cai, who, after a nightly murder attempt on his life, left for a meditation retreat with the Buddhist temple. Shen Xing, mostly alone in charge of care taking of the compound, was beset by nightmares until one night when he woke up to witness a conflagration.

With Jason Li taking hold of the Casino business, and Lin Jincui threatened in her own job as manageress of the KFC and the bride selling business, and the cattle and wood roads closed, prospects look bleak for Uncle Cai, who only resource of water supplying is swiftly getting insufficient.

But he also deiscovers the unsavory business of debt-forcing, linked with the harmless sounding business of "stacking chips", where he reunites with another old acquaintance...
