We welcome different opinions about Bad Buddy. It might be a cultural difference, or the fact that it is done for…
"We welcome different opinions about Bad Buddy." LOL No, no you and the rest of this comment thread most certainly do not welcome different opinions if they are negative. I have made it clear here many times that to me this is one of the WORST BLs ever made in every way possible, and that it is amazing to me how many people here perceive it to be one of the greatest works of art from anywhere around the world in the last 100 years at least. One person said "this is the best drama, out of all dramas and films ever made in any genre, that has ever been made..." or words very closet to that effect. THAT is the level of insanity about this show that brings me here on occasion just to marvel at its existence.
In response to sharing my feelings about BB, I was hammered from every direction and not with acceptance and understanding. hahaha. Hardly. Hatred would be more like it. Which is actually fine, as it just goes to show the irrational thinking that contributes to the idea of this very amateurish show as some kind of masterpiece.
So please spare me the "We welcome..." bullshit. The fact that you use the word "WE" as you did is a good indicator of the clique-ish vibe and group-think aura of this comment section.
I haven't finished it yet, so I don't know. There is one main storyline, but there are many secondarly stories, so I would guess some will be happy, some will be sad and some will be in-between. However things end up, this one is worth the watch regardless.
Yes, when she ran into his arms, I saw Dew. The editing and acting are perfect. I did get the feeling that both…
Totally get you. I had to most stop going to the BB comment page because it felt like the twilight zone to me with people writing shit like "this is the best drama or movie ever made, out of all dramas or movies of all time, BL or not..." Seriously, someone wrote that. They're comparing it to, you know, Shakespeare and the last 150 years out of Hollywood and I'm thinking "I can't be reading this..." But they are dead-serious.
I think all the sex-phobics, 11 year-old fangirls and 25 year-old SJWs love it because it has no sex or anything realistic and icky like that. One convincing kiss on the rooftop does not a series make. Ohm is ten times the actor Nanon is and my god, his body is reason enough to FF through the series, as I did after 2 eps just to watch the scenes where his shirt is off.
Have you seen the youtube vids of Nanon doing his Idol/singer thing? His voice isn't terrible, but it's not anything great and it's embarrassing when he dances. I don't know why Thailand is so desperate. BUT he IS a good rapper. He went into a rap during a clip I watched and my mouth dropped open, his speed and delivery was pretty amazing. I don't hate the guy, but as a dramatic actor he's like warmed-over, day-old noodles.
Just finished ep. 11. This show makes me cry at the most unexpected moments. Also laugh out loud too. :) I will confess that 9 and 10 were kind of boring for me and I took a few weeks off from watching, but I knew I'd be back sooner or later. And my lands, episode 11 was powerful and funny and emotional.
I have developed great affection for most of the characters, guards and inmates, except for hideous cretins like "Baldy." I love Looney especially. He is written beautifully. His passive-aggressive and smart-ass/witty insults to those who fuck with him reveal the intelligence and wit that underlies his addiction. It's nice to see more and more of his story being revealed as time goes by. Of course Kim Je Hyuk is a wonderful character too, as much huge-hearted child as athletic brute, and couldn't be played any better; I adore Jung Kyung Ho as Joon Ho too. Man, so many great characters and fine actors in one show.
I have NO idea what tf is up with KJH's little sister and her cruel refusal to visit him in prison. I mean, get over your selfish self, bitch, and go see the loving brother who is in there because as always he was protecting and caring for YOU. I understood the initial reluctance, as the guilt could be overwhelming, but now it's just stupid and I have no respect for her. It's not a well-written arc, unless the plot's intent is to make us despise her.
Don't really get KJH's breaking up with his GF either. We knew from the beginning he'd serve at most a year, so why punish her more than she already would be by the brief separation? That was the one flaw with ep. 11: why would KJH expect to just call her after his good news and all would be forgiven? Not so much...

I know many western women could not stand unconsensual kiss or groping but it's very different when it happens…
Hey, stupid, re-read my comment. There's this thing called "edit." You must have been sitting in front of your screen drooling while you awaited my reply, as I edited it as soon as I re-read it. Loser.
Again, your SJW, arrogant stuff cuts no ice with me. Secondly, the commenter IS correct and you ARE a psycho who won't tolerate flawed human behavior in their BL plots. Because, apparently you watch BLs to learn what morals you should use to guide your own life.
Finally, you ARE a moron, a delicate flower and a douche bag. These are your problems to correct, not mine. I'm going to assume you're an SJW Puritan morality police-person and move on.
hmm... i feel like everything has been said in the replied comments of this post so... as a gay person, i'm just…
BRAVO, except for your bit about LGBTQIA+ being delicate people. Sensitive, yes, but delicate...not so much. Growing up gay and surviving in most places around the world requires strength far beyond what most ignorant straight people would guess. And yes, lots of us are capable of defending ourselves and others.
I know many western women could not stand unconsensual kiss or groping but it's very different when it happens…
Please. Your arrogant, lecture-ish sctick cuts zero ice with me. If you think what I wrote was "hyper-emotional," you are dumber than you've already demonstrated.
Do you believe that a movie plot featuring murder, even if the plot involves the perp getting away with it, is an ENDORSEMENT of murder in general? Most grown-ups already know murder is wrong and don't look for their guidance on such matters in films like you apparently do.
Finally, it's hilarious that your sentence about "literate folks" is written so poorly as to indicate its author is, oh I don't know...illiterate. lol.
THAT is a billion-dollar face. Every movie I see him in, there are at least a few times when because of a particular camera angle or expression, Kwon Sang Woo's face takes my breath away. I'm a portrait artist and fascinated by faces anyway, but wow, he is simply one of the most beautiful men there ever has been. Which is saying a LOT because there are so many drop-dead handsome Asian men to begin with. KSW's face and emotive expressions remind me of the U.S.'s James Dean, one of my favorite actors ever. Wow.
Anyway...he can act too. I need to watch some of his later films to see what kind of actor he has evolved into.
As for this flick: Cute, silly, adorable, flirty, totally unnecessary and absolutely perfect. Kim Ha Neul is a perfect foil for KSW's physical perfection and arrogant, insolent but charming characterization here. I like her very much. If you're in the mood for a fun, silly but charming comedy, check this out.
The two hilarious, gay but not stereotypical characters were a really nice touch.
9/10 Bravo!
Footnote: Korean flicks have made me, a totally non-violent guy who does not fight and does not like pain, a fan of well-done fight scenes. It is amazing to me how many Korean movies feature fight scenes that are intricately choreographed and performed to perfection, without a false note to be seen. Stunning.
Dropping out after 20 minutes. I am well-aware there is a lot of unpleasantness and cruelty in the world. Doesn't mean I'm always going to hang around to watch a full-length movie about it.
I've had this on my to-watch list for a long time, but keep putting it off because I don't care for the acting style of the dude with no lips whose picture is the first above. Just now I read through ALL of the comments below and I will definitely drop this from my list. I've lived a long time, much longer than I ever expected to, and watched a LOT of movies. What I know is ANY work of art, no matter the medium, that requires the amount of bullshit explanation and excuse-making and artsy-fartsy double-speak like "you just have to let your imagination devise the plot" and other horseshit like that, is a scam and won't claim any of my time. Life is too short.
I have also watched enough Takashi Miike movies to know that he is lazy. Fewer than half of his films are worth watching, the rest are con-jobs. He doesn't have the discipline to tell a story in a creative but ultimately coherent way so he just throws enough crap together to fill a couple of hours, then says "hey, it's up to YOU to come up with the story. If you don't get it and don't like it, then you are stupid and it's not my fault that you are." lol I will admit he is some kind of genius to have made a living and so many films with this tired schtick.
Glad to get this cleared off my list to make room for another, worthy film.
Totally agree with you I still didn’t watch the movie yetBut direct ECT has been abolished by the recent changes…
No, not in medical field, other than as a patient. :) I have dealt with depression off and on most of my life, sometimes severe. I've had ECT and found it very helpful. About 12 rounds, I think. About nine years ago. Haven't had ECT since then and am doing fine on a combo of meds that have been doing the trick for about four years now. I agree that ECT is a great treatment that has a bad rep because of how it's been portrayed in movies.
In the U.S. the downturn in public percception of ECT is attributed to ONE movie, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," from about 40 years ago, starring Jack Nicholson. The ECT was administered without meds or anaesthesia in the film, and it turned Nicholson's character into a vegetable. So naturally, the U.S. being full of stupid people, everyone believed that that's how it worked and what it did.
I know many western women could not stand unconsensual kiss or groping but it's very different when it happens…
The discomfort with the kiss and the pushing away is what is called PART OF THE PLOT. Drama requires conflict and all kinds of less-than-perfect human behavior to be interesting and provide an overall arc. Your SJW is so lame. Go away and stop watching BLs. Boys and men are NOT little delicate flowers who need your protection, even if they're gay.
I know many western women could not stand unconsensual kiss or groping but it's very different when it happens…
You are absolutely correct, but these SJW psychos here won't tolerate f lawed human behavior in their BL plots. Like the moron above who claims to have been put off by "forced" kissing in the trailer but watched the show anyway. lol They LOVE nothing more than their faux outrage.
Wasn't a fan of the trailer because Cheng yi literally forced kissed ling zi ming TWICE, but after checking it…
Delicate flowers like you will be the death of BL. Everything "consensual" and pristine and pure and sweet and roses and rainbows and unicorns, no actual human behavior allowed, and boring as hell. Go watch the Disney channel.
