Gosh the plot twists!
- So now we know why Amai will not end up with Shang Yizhi. I just wanna know why Yizhi’s father wanted to kill Amai’s father.
- Crown prince’s suicide is soooo stupid & unnecessary! Lazy scriptwriter writing nonsense to move the plot forward. I hate that this drama is going down a disappointing route.
- The emperor getting a stroke is unexpected 🤣 I think Yizhi will have to marry PM Lin’s daughter & he will eventually become the emperor.
- This part of the story is quite boring & I miss Amai in the army & fighting with Beimo. Heck I miss Chen Qi too!

The train itself is gorgeous. I love those steam locomotives. 70s in China must be a tough time for the people as they’ve been through the Cultural Revolution. I’m guessing that ‘speculation’ thingy is also something not allowed by the communist party but I’m not sure what it is exactly 🤔

The emperor is a weirdo and a psycho but the actor is so good.

I like ML, 2nd ML and 3ML too. It really depends on individual views. The ML is funny and inexperienced but he’s kind-hearted and care for the people. For me, it’s quite refreshing to watch a drama where the ML is not always smart, badass and a hero. Do give it a watch and decide for yourself. I really don’t think it’s as bad as what many ppl here said about him.

Other things:
1. Xiu’er is so sweet. I actually think she and Tang Shaoyi make a sweet pair.
2. I can’t help feeling disappointed at BOTH Shang Yizhi & Amai after SYZ shot Cuiyan dead. None of them cared to go check him to see who he is or if he’s really dead. They just didn’t care?! What if that’s their own ppl from Yuzhou? The 2 of them only cared abt themselves.

I am so annoyed at the title that every time I type it I cringe.
