Oh yes I accidentally saw it on XHS. Took me a moment to recall who that familiar face was. He was gonna become the next SW anyway so why the need to do all that? He couldn’t wait any longer? Or mayb the father was gonna make GSJ the SW instead and he stopped him.

The SW has to be one that could take care of all in the Gong family. Looking at the reckless Gong Yuanzhi who wanted to kill the Yu family members all the time, Gong Shangjue too is not qualified to be a SW. His lil bro will give him too much trouble. He’s just gonna end up creating another Wufeng-like family. Compassion may seem like a weakness when compared to skills & might but it’s actually powerful. We just need to have a little patience for GZY to pick up his skills again.

It seems the supporting roles/actors are stealing the show 🤔
It may seem like that coz a big chunk of the time in the first 6 eps were given to the 2nd leads. On top of that the 2nd leads all started as really strong and smart ppl whereas for the ML for eg, the story needs to tell his growth. That’s why he has to be shown weak and useless first.
