I am going to wait until she gets her memory back before I start binge watching the second half of the season…
It is not just her memory of him that is gone. The great part of her character right now is she is behaving like she was never corrupted in the first place. Like she was when she was an innocent child before the death of her father. And of course he doesn't recognize her either so not much need for tears...yet.
Lol Guo Jing is supposed to be stupid and naive. It is why I prefer the sequel
Perhaps you didn't understand what I actually said. I was not comenting on the ML ignorance and naivity. I was commenting on the writer's choice of conflict creation.
As for ML remaining dumbas a brick throughout the entirety of the series... character development is a key component of a story. The ML gets none.
Was there some sort of explanation regarding the change of artist who played the lead female role? I mean from…
It is only the first episode. Why she is back in her orignal body has not been revealed yet. And technically...Go Yoon Jung was the original actress not Jung So Min.
they kept the voice of mudoek in naksu body. the way i felt it was similar voices. did they dub her voice for…
Go Yoon Jung always voiced Naksu even in part 1. Whenever she thought internally it was Go Yoon Jung's voicing. Her external voice was Jung So Min because it was Bu Yeon's body. This time it is 100% both internal and external Go Yoon Jung.
But how can she give her an heir if she’s really Naksu and not Buyeon? The child wouldn’t be a relative to…
Except..it isn't Buyeon's body or soul. Jung So Min is Buyeon's body. Go Yoon Jung is Naksu's body. It is 100% Naksu (body and soul) just with no memories for an undisclosed reason.
Finally the wait is over 🤩... Though it is the first episode, the meet happened soon... Really excited to see…
Go Yoon Jung was always a part of Mudeok's character as well. Whenever Naksu/Mudeok did an inner monologue (which was a lot) it was Go Yoon Jung doing the voice. We will get Jung So Min in the eventual flashback episode where they show what happened 3 years ago.
I don't get the hate for the FL in these comments. She did a very good job. She even made me cry when she realized she was leaving ML behind in that ice realm in the middle of the show. I felt they had very good chemistry together. I actually really dislike the acting of the SL.
Side note: The enitre time I was watching this I could swear the FL looked familiar. After looking at the list of her dramas I can say I have never seen her before. Then it hit me. She has so many similar facial features to Kim Sejeong. That being said Kim Sejeong is a much better actress.
While I don't particularly like Zhiruo, I didn't find her behavior so strange in that instance. She harmed him…
I agree at that point in the story. However, I am further in and she is even further out of character than ever. She was established in the start as being a very kind and compassionate character who wouldn't kill. Knocking out her enemies. And caring for those who were weak. Now - although it hasn't been revealed yet where I am at but it was very obvious - she has killed A'Li. And I do like Zhao Min a lot more over all over Zhiruo. Zhao Min is a much beter written character. I am ok that they introduced her later in the story. And Chen Yu Qi does an amazing job in her performance. I like Xudan's acting too. Miss the Dragon was great. But in this it is almost like she knows there is something off with her character's development in the story and it shows in her acting. You can tell she doesn't believe in her own character.
I am confused with the writing of this. The Legend of Condors was a good show overall but had lazy writing on the conflict side. Every conflict was due to a misunderstanding. This show is confusing for a different reason. That reason is the character of Zhi Ruo. I am only on episode 23 so FL has not even been introduced yet (which is another odd thing). But Zhi Ruo's actions during the sects vs Wu Ji made no sense. Her character doesn't make sense. The writer had clearly set her up throughout the show to be the main FL. Yet tosses it half way through. I know I will like Zhao Min when she is introduced as well because I love Yu Qi's acting but it still feels very weird. Like seriously...I get peer pressure. But there is a huge difference between being talked into smoking and being talked into stabbing a massive sword through the chest of the man you love. No one unless psychopathic would do that so it makes no sense for her character. Considering during the entire battle she was only knocking out the people she was in battle with. Especially considering the circumstances. Anyone in that room should have been able to see how wrong the 6 sects were and clearly throughout the scene based on Xudan's acting her character knew it was all wrong. It is very frustrating writing because it doesn't fit her character.
Also...side note. Zhi Ruo's teacher is stupid. Actually most of the character's from the righteous sects are tbh. Why is it that with most drama's like this the "righteous" sects are always the least righteous characters? Just once can I get a stroy where good is good and bad is bad? Or at least have the characters fully understand moral ambiguity?
Very late to the party on this show/story but man it is ticking me off. Most of this I have really enjoyed. However, the only plot device for conflict this writer seems to have is misunderstandings. And they are all idiotic and barely make sense at all. The one in particular that made me write this is in episode 44. The scenes where Jing and Rong arrive on the island to find his teachers slaughtered. The entire things screams obvious setup. None of it is written well. The fact that with her smarts she doesn't realize it right away is dumb. I get he is blinded by rage. But the number of times he pushes her off him is ridiculous. Then when his former master hit Rong and self inflicts back with her hedge hog armour yet Jing runs to his master instead of her when she was obviously hurt. Everything is about staging scenes and creating misunderstandings. No one ever thinks to just talk. Or let alone actually think in the first place. Such lazy writing. I don't see why this is a classic that has been recreated so many times. The story is good except for the writer's ability to write conflict. Also we are this far into the story and the ML is still dumb as a brick. Also Yang Kang (2nd ML) is the worst character writing wise I have ever seen.
Upon finishing this show I can understand why people were unsatisfied with the ending. It was very rushed and left a few loose ends. Plus, the main characters lost to the villain twice during the ending. Both the election and the trial. Only to beat him in a random scene at the pool were the ML essentially murders the villain. Biggest loose end was the son of Chairman Kang. Also I have a strong sense of empathy. I cried several times for the emotion portrayed by the ML and FL throughout the show. But, the FL's death scene was so forced and had very little emotion to it. Overall I liked the show. But the last episode. Not sure what the director and writers were thinking.
Funny thing is I feel the same. I mentioned in my OP that I have never dropped a show. And that is still true. But this show had be almost drop so many times. I really should have dropped it.
I am so pumped for this drama. Xu Kai is my fave ML actor and Esther Yu may not be my fave FL actress (Li Qin is) but she is quickly climbing the ranks. This show sounds like it will be very good!
